Sydney to Santiago look a long long way apart.
A 747B can do that flight non-stop and it seems strange that the real flight out of Sydney starts on an initial heading of roughly South East. Maybe the pilots are all lost!

Australia to S Africa roughly 5000 miles, Santiago to Cape Town roughly 5000 miles, both measurements can be confirmed by the flight times.

If you're gonna create a guide on how to make a FE map, maybe make sure you can make one yourself first?
