Kommunist, if something closer to you appears exactly the same as something farther from you, meaning it is larger and faster, it should take the same magnification to view it as the farther object.
Triangulation would require more than just you and your telescope, you would need 2 other people to observe it at the same time from different locations.
Ah, no. It's just 2 observers total. The "triangle" vertexes are observer-1, observer-2, and object.
