Quote
Rose Mwangi had her Bible in hand and said she's not worried "because I know Jesus is a healer, so I know he's covered us with the blood...There's no place for fear."

I can only assume that she missed the verse about not putting God to the test, the one that Jesus specifically quoted during his temptation.

Wow, you figured out that there are contradictions in the bible. You're streets ahead, saddam.

It's not a contradiction. ???  The point is that the Bible doesn't endorse lying down and doing nothing and expecting God to do everything for you.

What is prayer then?
Asking God for a third hand, not the 2 you already have.

This is probably the most eloquently I've seen this sentiment put into words.

Is it? Why is God not offering you both his hands?

Because he doesn't believe in me.

#1.  I was the one who nominated it, actually.  And it is winning by a landslide.  Not a Tom landslide, a real one.

How could they possibly have gotten it from here, seeing how "here" isn't the place that provided the quote?

They lurk on forums for nominations and this is one of them.  I know its extremely unlikely but I feel like believing anyway.

But they're not quoting you.  They're quoting the lady in the article.  Also, like I said, I was the one who nominated it, and I linked them to the article.

I know they're not quoting me.  I'm just making a coincidence into something it isn't for my own amusement.

Besides, would you have nominated it had I not made this thread?

I probably wouldn't have seen the article otherwise, so, no, probably not.

So I am indirectly responsible for the nomination.

And for that, I shall celebrate.  It's meaningless to everyone except me.
