Other Extraterrestrial Flat Earths?
« on: June 20, 2011, 12:07:49 AM »
So I am curious to what FE Ufologists subscribe to concerning extraterrestrial flat earths. if they existed would it likely be above below or beside us. Or just it not fit in with the physics of electromagnetism and DE?

I thought about this, then realised I didn't care to hear what they thought.

But since you've asked, I'm really going to keep an eye on this.  :)

wouldn't be underneath thats where the 4 elephants and a turtle live

Quote
A: This is unknown. Most FE proponents believe that it is generally composed of rocks. Please note that in Hinduism, the Earth rests on the back of four elephants and a turtle.

(not a snide remark toward Hinduism but only in the fact it was included in a supposedly scientific FAQ.)

I'm pretty sure the society only believes in one flat Earth in general, but I guess I've never really seen anything regarding this really so I don't know. I know people have asked why objects in the heavens were spherical and not flat and they said the Earth is unique.

The whole universe is flat ???
http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/science-environment-11810553

And the solar system is planar.

Flat is a very common and natural shape for the cosmos and the things in it.

There are probably other flat planets out there, just as there are probably other planets out there with life on them. The universe is just so big, the outcome becomes almost a certainty. Its just finding them.

And the solar system is planar.

Except for all of the asteroids, comets and other miscellaneous objects that don't orbit along the solar ecliptic plane (Pluto, anyone?).
Science is what happens when preconception meets verification.

Besides, perhaps FET is a conspiracy too.

So you acknowledge that not all objects in the solar system don't orbit in the same plane?  Good, sounds like we're making progress.

And you acknowledge that there is a solar ecliptic plane. Suggesting things as a rule don't just float about anywhere, but on a plane. Making the general shape, but for a few small things like comets and asteroids, flat. All the planets for example are on this plane. Suggesting a generally flat theme. Nature likes flat.

The overall layout of the solar system may be roughly flat, but that says nothing about the shape of the objects within the solar system.  After all, shoe boxes aren't generally shoe shaped, are they?

So as I was saying, the universe is flat, the solar system is generally flat, so flat isn't such a strange shape to find in the cosmos.

The universe is theorized to be flat Thork. Just like dark energy is a theory. Nice try though.

I'll add that another mass of rock orbiting the Sun was found a few years back way out there, maybe 3 times further than Pluto, and its orbit was all out of whack.

I'll also add that admitting the solar system is a plane is admitting the Earth isn't flat.

The topic sillyrob is other extraterrestrial planes, and are they probable? Well with our own planet being flat, the solar system being flat and the universe itself being flat, all I am saying is that it is not impossible. But NASA are unlikely to tell you if they have found one.

The universe is theorized to be flat and our solar system being flat proves a spherical Earth. What else would the orbital plane of the planets orbiting the Sun being flat mean?

Flatness?
It would mean a system of planets orbiting a star.
