Generic Arguement Topic

The idea that the earth is in fact flat is very interesting, and can be quite difficult to wrap your mind around.  Then again, the idea that we are all trapped inside an artificial contruct of reality is a nice idea too.  In fact, it was so nice that they made it into a movie.  And when you think about it, the two ideas really aren't that different.  By the standards of those who believe the earth is flat, I could also theorize that I am actually the only person that truly exists, and the rest of you are just artificial contructs created by some higher power.  I could argue that right now my body is not in my bedroom, but plugged in to some super computer, and that computer is projecting the image of my bedroom around me.  Why?  I don't know, but I'm sure it's a government conspiracy.  Do you have proof that refutes me?  Clearly that proof is a fabrication of the super computer in order to trick me.  But I know better than that now, eh!

But beyond the implications of the FE theory applied in that matter, there is a far more important matter to be discussed here.  You claim to have a scientific theory that the earth is flat.  The problem is, I have yet to see proof of your theory.  I have yet to see experiments that support your claim.  I have yet to see data that effectively backs up your hypothesis.  Oh sure, you're very quick to refute any RE proofs with cries of "It's a conspiracy!", but the problem is, a rebuttal of your opponents point is, in no way, a proof of your own.

As a final point, I would like to open up a new arguement.  My theory is that the earth is round, and that the entire concept of a flat earth is an idea created by the new age movement to fool us.  This entire sight is a giant put on, created not through research but through clever trickery, and every FEer is clearly a victim of misinformation or in on the conspiracy.

I have come to the same conclution. It is pretty clear to me that the FES is motivated by the Bible. They loathe NASA for its heretical questioning of God so they say that NASA is part of the conspiracy.

Penguins were actually created in the 1960's by Russian scientists who combined the DNA of otters and birds.  [/quote]
