The conspiracy was born when the US was forced to fake space program results in order to asser military dominance in the space race.

I always place the birth of the GlobCon in the 1800's - the money-hungry collaboration of Alfred Wallace, George Airy and John Walsh represents the first convergence of three major component parts of the Con - Academia, Government and the Media, behind the single-minded purpose of earning money by lying about the shape of the Earth.

Placing the Conspiracy's early life here is also chronologically compatible with other notable GlobCon events, such as the assassination of Scott of the Antarctic.

Oh, and as for the war debate, it's important to remember this simple adage when it comes to the Globularist Conspiracy - "not all Conspiracy is government, not all government is Conspiracy". In other words, there are large swathes of governmental employees who are unaware of the Conspiracy (the vast majority, in fact), and large swathes of Conspiracy employees who do not work for the government.

The Conspiracy has governmental cells, it does not encompass all, or even most, of government.

Exactly. The majority of the government has no idea, or I would expect they would cut the funding.

Incidentally, I trace the Globularist Conspiracy roots to the 1400's. It was born as the Bavarian Globe Makers Guild or BGMG. It has been speculated that the Illuminati were a later offshoot of the BGMG, but this is speculation.
