Digging down?, And other question.
« on: January 12, 2008, 12:09:46 AM »
Serious questions.

1) What happens if you dig down?... How thick is this supposed "Flat" Earth?

2) How come when you dig down, The earth gets warmer?  Since it's flat I assume the large surface area would be large enough to  dissipate any heat created by friction.

3) How do Communications and navigational satellites orbit?

You of course get to the other sides. The antipodes visit our side all the time. They know. we don't. it's their advantage,

The plane truth is they've lied about everything.

1) We're not sure, but based on the depth of the Marianas Trench, something more than 20 miles, probably significantly more.
2) I see no reason to assume that.  I see no reason to not think that the lower layers of the earth are under enormous pressure, thus leading to heat.
3) They don't exist (except possibly as stratalites).
Where did you educate the biology, in toulet?

The infinite flat earth is 9000 km thick.  This is derived through a= 2*pi*G*D*t which is in turn derived from Gauss's Law applied to an infinite plane's gravitational pull.

but that's if the Earth is infinite.

Yes, thats why I said the infinite flat earth is 9000km. I made no suppositions about the depth of a non infinite earth.
