origination of FE
« on: February 24, 2007, 10:41:51 PM »
i remember in history class lots of astronomers believed the earth is flat and everything revolved around the earth, but why do some still believe that?  we do you shoot down the fact that NASA has satellites, has been to the moon, and has sent probes etc to mars and all that?  why is it that you refuse to take any photographic evidence into account? yes they can be photoshopped, but what could NASA be gaining from photoshopping the earth into a sphere?  why would NASA want to do so and HOW could they be making money off of it?  there are NO grounds to base this so called conspiracy on.  the threads about visiting the ice wall have been proven as BS with photoshopped.  please explain.

They would most likely gain more from stating that it WAS flat. Hell, roundness was being considered in the early 1600's and most people stuck with it in the 1800's. It's all about understanding.

i honestly dont see how they could gain in anyway if they said the earth was flat or round, no way they could be making money off their claims besides globes/flat globes or whatever you wanna call it.

The massive humongous ~$16 billion a year that NASA gets from the government.  $16 billion a year really isn't that much when it comes to the national government, but you know, whatever makes the conspiracy work.

What difference would it make if everyone knew either side? It's not like the people making these studies can actually travel the Earth and discover these things for themselves, anyway. I'm sure this is a coverup for something larger, but what? Just one of many ways to try and defy the, "government?"

NASA is US based, back to the question.  what would the WORLD governments be gaining from lieing to us about the world being round?  we have "figured out" NASA gets $16 billion from the government to fund their experiements, but what about Russia, Korea, China, England, France, etc.?

So if the government told us the truth from the beginning, would that really make a difference on how much study/money they do/get? I dont think it would, nor is there reason to believe it would. If we all thought the earth was flat, so what? if we thought it was round, big deal. why lie about it either way, the government isnt THAT stupid. also, this might seem sort of irrelevant, but why does the president have a GLOBE in his office? part of the conspiracy?

Im not trying to argue, im just asking.

Their individual space exploration budgets?  I really have no idea, I'm RE and I think the conspiracy is ridiculous.

Well, bushie is a moron, so they probably didn't tell him, even should there have been a conspiricy.
