Why a conspiracy?

Why would the government put in so much effort for people to think the world was round? What would the motivation be? If have heard you guys say "money", but how could the government get money by convincing people the earth was round?

because money makes the world go round... not go flat.

That is not an answer.  There is no asnwer.  Ther eis no way to make money from convicing people the world is round.  If the government sold globes maybe.  But then they could sell flat globes.

Here's my question...

Why wouldn't the government shut down this site and silence any/all critics who put any effort into making this a credible area for debate, let alone allowing them to try to validate any of their claims with "science".

Seriously, think about it.

I read the FAQ btw, and I read that this theory was put into place over a hundred and fifty years ago. So over the period of 150 years the government hasn't bothered to stop this?

I notice a lot of "real science" tossed around to both support and destroy a flat earth, but what's to say that science hasn't been tainted by government?

Common sense is a powerful tool, instead of trying to crunch numbers, argue about gravity (or lack there of), etc. ask yourself...

who's crazier, the people who believe this or the people who argue with them.
