Where are all the GPS tower certified personnel who run them?  Why cant I see a floating platform?  Im starting tho think this whole site is a scam, no one actually thinks the Earth is flat they just like to argue.  I mean floating GPS platforms?

It needs 4 signals all the time.  You clearly said it only needed 3.  They use way more then 4 to check themselves to get the accuracy even better.

Flat Earth Q&A / Re: Red/Blue Shift.

ChaosRequiem  flat Earth people cant dispute red/blue shifts.  As you can see "the engineer" has no idea what he is talking about.  He says the starts can move relative to us.  That would lead to no shifting of the wavelength.
Well, in the RE, the stars are moving relative to us, yet there is shift.  I think you don't know what relative means.

The fact that they think the Earth is accelerating upwards also shows this.  I would be able to jump out of a plane and hit the ground at 9.8 m/s since I wouldn't accelerate any more then Earth.
I don't know what I am talking about?  You do know that there is a difference between velocity and acceleration, right?
Velocity is a vector, thus having a direction, while acceleration is a scaler or something.  9.8m/s/s is an acceleration.  It adds 9.8 m/s every second.

How does this acceleration bend light?  If everything was moving relative to each other there would be no light bending.  But there are many ways for astronomers to see a certain light by aiming a telescope a up a little ways to catch the light that was bent.

lol another person pointing out how GPS needs satellites.

You mean besides the fact that GPS still works on every square inch of the earth as long as 4 satellites can be seen.
As long as 4 transmitters can be seen at start up and three thereafter, yes.

Once again you are wrong.  GPS does work everywhere.  GPS needs 4 satellites all the time.  The fourth one gives elevation.  Like I said.My cell phone doesnt work everywere but my bros GPS does.

That picture proves the Moon is Round just like the Earth.

Everything in the FAQ is hypotheses, and hypotheses can NEVER EVER EVER be proven!
Yeah, we all totally know that hyptheses can't turn into theories and laws.
Gravity is not an example of this, obviously.

There are many theories on gravity.  Like how there is really no such thing as gravity, spacetime is actually just bending.  Of course these theories actully have tests that show them, unliek the flat Earth crap.

Flat Earth Q&A / Re: Additional Evidence for FE?
« on: February 26, 2007, 09:50:21 PM »
I once hiked a hill near San Francisco, by the Golden Bridge. From there, you can clearly see from one end of the edge of the horizon... the city, and all the way across the CURVATURE of the world to out into the pacific ocean... there is no doubt you can clearly see a curve on the horizon.

What is this curve?

Speaking bridges the worlds longest bridge has to take the curvature of the Earth into account.  The distance from the bottom of the 2 supports relative to each other is shorter the the distance at the top of the supports.

The GPS argument is a favorite of mine.

please share your stand on GPS

Accurate clocks+transmitter+known position+receiver+computer+clock=position of receiver.

There is no part of the GPS system that requires that the transmitter be in orbit.
You mean besides the fact that GPS still works on every square inch of the earth as long as 4 satellites can be seen.  I sure wish my cell phone worked everywhere, but then again it actually uses towers.  Also why would countries that hate us allow us to build towers on there land?

Here a video from google earth showing some cool stuff.  At 1:45 it shows a plane.  Now what kind of plane flyes 100 miles or so above another one?

And all my other arguments you skipped?
The GPS argument is a favorite of mine.
The feel free to post it.  Then I will post on how GPS works with the atomic clocks and all.  And now GPS works on ever single inch of the plant and how if it was using towers it wouldn't.  The GPS satellites orbit above the Earth.  They have a known location.  They broadcast the time.  The GPS receiver reads the time and calculates how far it is from the satellite.  The satellites are moving so fast time dilation has to be taken into account to get an accuracy in feet.  Everyone knows moving clocks tick slower.

Google does not own any satellites.
No way you are a real Engineer.  Why can people see satalites at night?  Why can people see the spaceship orbiting?  GPS does use satellites. There are many expirements to prove the Earth is round, besides just looking outside.  I cant believe what I read on this site.  I think people take up the argument that the Earth is flat, just to have something to do.
