Flat Earth Q&A / Re: Its True, Quit Proving Us Wrong. World Is Flat.
« on: February 26, 2007, 09:14:58 AM »
I did, and I didn't bother, since all that came out of it was icewall, government, old book, mystery shadow, and conspiracy.

And a picture of the revolutions of sun and moon, along with it's explanation.

I don't get it. Did you really think i was referring you to the FAQ whilst not reading it myself?

What moves the sun and the moon in these revolutions?

I have no idea...

But, can I ask you something, this is not an argument for the FE, I'm just curious, do you know what makes the planets move? Or what makes the entire solar system move? Do you know what makes the galaxies revolve around it's center?

I always thought what made things like entire galaxy's move was objects moving away from the "Big Bang". And around it's center? I didn't even know that happened, but i'm sure it has something to do with gravity, if it does happen.

And what causes gravity?

I mean, you don't have the slightest bit of doubt in your mind about a force that attracts two objects for no apparent reason?

None.  Just because it isn't fully understood doesn't mean it's illogical.

What's the difference if we know or not? We don't know for sure how the round Earth came about either. Yes, there's speculation, but so what?

My speculations on the formation of the flat Earth are that dust and dirt was tumulted and carried by the Universal Accelerator until it got so heavy that the compression created heat and eventually atmosphere as well as water. As for the ice wall, the water was probably frozen in its original state and obviously the water would be on top of the Earth cyllinder. After the sun came into orbit, it heated up the insides, leaving the North pole, which is farthest away from the sun, and the South Pole, which is very far from the sun's rays and is cooled by outer-space, frozen, leaving a large ice wall where the water was frozen quickly as it began to slosh outwards because of the extreme coldness in space.

~D-Draw

"After the sun came into orbit..."  What caused the orbit if gravity is so ludicrous?

Notice the "I believe" in my post.

It's my personal opinion, not the opinion of the FE community.

I for one don't know how the sun theory works, haven't really focused on it to be honest.

Missed the "I believe" part.  I'll try to read more carefully next time.  But are there any FE's who can help me with this sun?

Be patient, there's people all around the world on this forum, not all of them are in your timezone, and further more, not all of them are always online, wait for a day or two, and if you don't get an answer by then, ask again, if you don't get an answer soon, i believe you can safely assume no one knows the answer.
Just be sure to bump your thread once or twice, so it doesnt get lost in Merchant Navy chat or some other crap...

I'm doing this from school, kinda hard to bump.

So if i get a REALLY bright light i should be able to go past 30 miles on a ship from the coast and see it?

If you get a light that's as powerful as the sun, yes.

BTW, It's a longshot, but the sun certainly has a gigawatt of power, it's probably much much more, but it has at least a megawatt.

You won't find a lamp with a gigawatt of power.

Not expecting to.

But about the sunset.  Is the sun flat like a CD facing earth? Or is it a sphere?(on FE)  IF it's like a CD, wouldn't the sun change shape as it gets further away? Or am I forgetting something?

It's explained in the FAQ. The sun is, I believe, spherical.

I didn't find it described as spherical in the FAQ's.  And if it was, what makes it have a "spotlight" effect of emitting light?

America is on the left, Japan is the on the right. Clearly to attack each other one of them would have to sail right across the world. Past Africa and Europe, and indeed every land mass according to that map. It seems a bit of a trek to me

For FE map isn't it like the world was torn open from the south pole? So Japan and America could still attack each other by just crossing the ocean.  Or am i wrong?
