Look at the water draining down your sink. It spirals. If the North Pole is the centre of the earth, why does the coriolis force reverse at the equator?
It's a myth that the coriolis effect is that detectible, the water drains out in different directions depending on how the sink is made or on the placement of microscopic cracks and the such.
You sir, are a fool. Drill a large round hole in the bottom of the bucket. Drain water through it. In the Northern Hemisphere, it spins one way. In the Southern, it spins the other. On the equator it doesn't. Do this experiment on one side of the equator, step onto the other, AND THE WATER STARTS TO SPIN IN THE OPPOSITE DIRECTION!
in wich direction does the water spin on the northern hemisphere?
