Suggestions & Concerns / Re: FE moderators needed
« on: June 05, 2018, 05:18:02 AM »
Now more than ever we need Intikam's Wisdoms!!!

Then do the right thing and lobby him to become a mod. You know it is the right thing to do. We not only need his wisdoms, but his direction and judgment.
He is not suitable to be a mod.  He lobbies to ban people because they disagree with him.  He cries that he is being personally attacked when someone disagrees or calls in to question something he said.  He flies into racist rants when he doesn't get his way.  No he should never be made a mod.  Anyone who calls for banning someone because they do not agree with their stance should not be a mod, like you have recently Shifter with Sandokan towards Jack and Rab.  There are a few RE folks who fall into that category also.
Then there are some of us that really do not need access to information, for some of you smart mouth guys safety.

You must be watching another video.
In this one, comet 96P/Machholz closely approaches the Sun in a parallel trajectory. The tail is completely unaffected by the solar wind: no disruption, no change of trajectory.

You can't make this shit up.  Anyone who watches the video all the way through will see how he lies.  The tail clearly shows it is pointing away from the Sun except for when it is very close to the Sun.

He provides the proof of his constant lies all the time.
And he is still crying about getting the moderators to stop Rab or Jack from showing how stupid he really is.  What a pathetic loser.  Queue Shitter.

63
Yay sandostupid derails another thread by lying and misusing things he found others said to make himself think he sounds intelligent..  But shitter found a new pole to spitshine so that's a plus.

Linking to your own posts does not constitute proof, none of those pictures are perfectly spherical, and if someone disagrees with you it is not a personal attacks to cry for the moderators to deal with, if you want a personal attacks see the example of my first paragraph there.  I see you are doubling down on your video there.  The second is easier to see, so watch how the tail keeps angling away, not 180 degrees but away, and it's obvious to see the direction change.

I'm confused now.  Has jroa angered a FE by not giving good answers?  This makes no sense.  FE person demanding their answers make sense?  Holy shit, next cats will be sleeping with dogs.

Well good for you, no need to continue to hide in the closet.  It's 2018, it's acceptable now in many places.  Oh wait, not Turkey yet.  Careful, if the wrong people find out, they will throw inky off a building.  Good news though, most of the people doing that are dying in Iraq and Syria right now.  Perhaps they haven't moved into Turkey again.

Waste of time to argue this.  It cannot happen on a flat Earth, therefore anyone brining it up must be discredited or some other completely unbelievably dumb idea needs to be proposed like vanishing point that appears to set but doesn't.  Bendy light, magic unicorn turds, space pizza magic etc.

I get it, and a month ago I would have agreed with you but his post about my family and the lab monkeys BS was too much.  And you guys just swept it under the rug.  My behavior was unacceptable but all I saw was excuse after excuse as to why he gets a pass.  So no I still say he is lucky.  The only thing stopping this derranged military veteran from slathering him in pig grease while doing many other things that shouldn't be named to him, is the fact that I do not know his real name and location.  Chalk this one up to more unacceptable behavior.  I'm sure this will be split off to AR accompanied by a suspension for me.  Tootles all.

Dome has a point. A lot of people pick on him just for sport.
No he brings it on himself.  He constantly attacks people and whines that he is being attacked.  He considers anyone pointing out something wrong with a statement he makes as an attack on him, all the while slinging insults left and right.  He is a worthless troll or he is a worthless, racist, homophobic, cowardly asshole.  Either way he should apologize for wasting my oxygen.  Don't take up for him, he doesn't deserve it.

Flat Earth Debate / Re: LONG JUMP (in a moving train) EXP.
« on: May 21, 2018, 05:08:07 AM »
For your c+v example, no.  The light is still traveling at c.  The Earth's velocity towards it doesn't change it's velocity.  And we don't measure light like a car impact.
Two cars traveling at each other at 50 miles per hour doesn't mean you can give more speed to either car from the other for speed measurement, just the force of the impact will be increased due to the addative kinetic energy of each mass.  Even then you calculate both independently and add only the energy of the collisions together, they are seperate.

aetheric "force", some force, they are just there

like a baby mobile, or marionette strings.

as the title says, why do objects with different mass fall at different rates?
if the earth is accelerating upwards then all objects would 'fall' (as we call it) at the same rate. why is this not true?
You said.  Above quote for reference.  All objects with different mass fall at different rates.  This is completely false.  If you remove all external forces other than gravity, all object DO fall at the same rate regardless of the mass.
Markjo pointed out that you changed your argument after he pointed it out earlier.  Below quote for clarity
as the title says, why do objects with different mass fall at different rates?
if the earth is accelerating upwards then all objects would 'fall' (as we call it) at the same rate. why is this not true?
The rate at which any given object fall depends greatly on its density and coefficient of drag (wind resistance).
the density is directly related to the mass, it is mass per volume, and we can measure this ourselves right now. you can potentially match drag too if you have the right objects, but the difference is minimal anyway.
You said that all objects should fall at the same rate.  You didn't say anything about similar densities or coefficients of drag.  Perhaps you should think your premise through a little better before you start making questionable claims.

i just did say that. perhaps you should read before you reply
Perhaps, you should remember what you typed before complaining that someone can't read what you typed.
Again though, your premise is incorrect.  When you say something dumb and someone points it out, just do one of two things, admit it or be quiet.  Otherwise you just look more dumb.

I can't argue against conspiracy talk, since it is inherently circular.  Any information against a conspiracy is claimed to be part of the conspiracy and thus the effort of giving said information to the contrary gets used as evidence, albeit false, of the reach of the conspiracy.
Well played sir, well played.

If the ISS is fake how can an amateur get these images.
I am on my phone so I am just giving the link to the imgur post.

If this were the case, the flat Earth notions die horribly since, if I get high enough to see the curvature and still can't see the city/landmass/ etc in that direction.

No one lives in top of Mt. Mitchell.  It is a national park.  Most of the population of the Appalachian mountain chain lives lower than 4000 ft. Range.  For instance, Asheville NC is pretty much the closest City to Mt. Mitchell at a bit less than 90K people and average altitude of 2100ft.
Neverless, you want a bit more of an altitude change than that, and not weighing yourself, weighing a stabile weight (unchanging) on calibrated, portable scale that is zeroed right before weighing at each location.  The difference is very small.

Here is a question then.  Can I still consider myself a Christian if I think the bible should not be taken completely literal?  That the meaning is more in the entirety over individual stories or that the lesson is in the morals conveyed over the particulars of said story.
The normal answer to that question that I get is why I do not attend church currently as I see them all as corrupted by man.

If we are throwing out the explanations of flight that has been thouroughly explained, tested, and refined over years of study and experimentation.  How do birds or airplanes fly on a flat Earth?
Remember you are throwing out air pressure manipulation.
If you have no fully fledged explanation to replace the one you are tearing down then you have to work harder to even question it.  I.e. you have to have much more than "you don't understand gravity or air pressure and you want it to be a problem for gravity that birds fly".  Currently you have offered nothing but things like something weighs too much for your limited minds to understand the physics of flight.
Start smaller, don't make yourself look so stupid right out of the gate.  People lose respect for you and just don't listen to your objections when you do this.  I would worry for your long term social and mental well being if you actually believe the stuff you have typed.  You base everything on your personal incredulity.  That's not healthy for your growth as a person.  If you don't understand it, learn about it, don't scream it isn't possible just because you don't know how.

Automation is taking everyone's jobs.  It's cheaper and safer.  Looks like the astronauts are not immune.  Poor guys.  The proof is in how many unmanned missions we have done to places like the moon or Mars.
Until you find a proper ROI (reason for investment) for the added expenditure of sending a human over a robot, you will not see this happen.  In the case of an idiot suggestion of bringing moon rocks back, even if it were profitable, it would be way more profitable using robots over humans.
BTW, I am one of the asshats building the automation systems that take away those jobs, well at least in the little aviation company I work for called GE.

88
The Apollo moon rocks are only appraised at such a high value due to their historical value and the rarity of their like on Earth.  Their is nothing special about their elemental or chemical structure as the moon and the Earth were either formed together or the moon is the remnant of a collision between the Earth and another planetoid very early in Earth's life.  Basically that means they are made of the same stuff.  If you start to bring tons back down here, the new ones will never have the value associated with the historical side and the more you bring down, the less rare they become.  Since there is nothing valueable about them outside of that, your "paying for the trip by selling them" idea will not work.

Social media posts and photos have no monetary value.

Distributed computing and good old hand done math checked over and over again was a thing.  We actually relied so much less on computers then.

And this is the conspiracy with the best motive of all, yet it falls flat on its face too.

There is a weed or two that should have been plucked and burned a while ago.  Do we have a mod willing to do so though?  Will a new mod have the guts?  Questions questions.  "Nastiness" in the debate section could be a direct result of other nastiness that continually gets ignored.

90
What?  what was that inky?  I have no idea what you said... it says "You are ignoring this user."  on all your posts.  I bet it was stupid anyway.
