And yet everyone seems so sold on it.
Don't worry, there's only a few dozen of them, they are just extremely vocal. Bottom line is that there are very few flat-earthers, but they do a good job of shouting loudly and frequently.
It worries me that we have lost so much trust in the powers that govern us (and completely, rightfully so) that we are willing to abandon all critical thought.
Yes, it's a growing problem. According to one study, a third of republicans think that Jade Helm is a secretly Obama invading Texas.
Could this not be settled today, one way or the other, with a boat or a plane? From my understanding, traveling between continents in what most people refer to as the southern hemisphere would be radically different on a flat earth. Can we not just take people from both sides, get a plane, and measure how far apart things are? I'm sure I'm not the first to bring this up, and again, I'm sorry for not having the time to read through everything on here. But this has been eating away at me.
You probably could, but flat earthers have a tendency to not do any actual experiments, but think that they've refuted thousands of years of science while sitting on their coach eating pringles.
