Side Point (Which I would like to REMAIN a side point): What is the FE's theory on creation? A 'Flat Earth' could not even the wildest dreams come into balance naturally, thus the earth must have a creator?

to answer your side note i believe that it has been said that god was making a pancake, like a really big one, and he was showing off his skillz to some of his angels to remind them how great he really is and that they should continue to obey him.  so there he was, fying the pancake when he thought it'd look kool to flip it up and catch it, but cos he was caught up in the moment he forgot there is no gravity in space, so the pancake kept rising up and up (he was heard by his angels to have shouted "goddamnit!").  but being god an all, he didnt want to look like it was unintentional to his angels cos then they might have began to doubt his greatness and run off to the devils side, so he chose to prove his awsome power by telling them that from then and forever more he would "will" everything to move up in a constant acceleration.

please note: there is a chance i missheard a few of the facts.

NASA likely uses a fish eye lense to distort the image of a flat earth into a curved earth. No image editing or special effects necessary.

fish eye lenses make images look wonky around the edges, so if one were used it would be obvious the image wasnt being presented truthfully.  its more convinving to do it using graphics editing tools.

Earth is far too large for that method to be effective. The curve visible would be even less than that seen from the top of a mountain. That is to say, there would be none.

Yes, the FE is accelerating.  The reaction forces provided by the earth give us what you would call the feeling of 'gravity'.

Of course, he is in Australia, so you'd have to ask an Australian for that.

or you could ask a british person.  they have the same rights as australians, afterall we did give them our stamp of approval as i've mentioned on this site as some point before.  but yeah, it is legal for a 17year old to get married, but that doesnt make it right cos then you'd be tied down to the same person until one of you die, which could take some time.  don't rely on fate to do stuff for you, just take her out (not on a date, i mean more along the lines of destroying her) then do what you want, just as long as its legal.   you dont want to be breaking the law cos that would be wrong. :wink:

Oh, I think I see your whole point behind your theory.   That sums it up perfectly.   A long, long time ago people thought the earth was flat.  That theory was here first, hence it takes precedent before anything that comes after it.   There are an abundance of facts that disprove your theory, however, your standard answers are optical illusion, perpetual upward acceleration and government conspiracy.   You use those to say that you have "disproved" all of the facts that show everyone first hand what the earth looks like.

Not to worry.  Very soon there will be a whole industry based on flying civilians into orbit.   At that point you will have to find another avenue to showcase your stupidity.   Until then, you are all still idiots and morons and I refuse to believe in your little pink elephant because it just doesn't exist.

most FEers wont accept your agruement because they'll say that you will in actuallity hit the ice wall, and then you'll say no you wont because its been proven there is no ice wall, and then they'll say that you're told to believe that and then question if you've experienced at first-hand a trip around the world and even if you claimed you had then they still are most likely to not believe you out of choice (i actually have sailed the seven seas (although i counted nine) and have seen no ice wall.  i did however see a whale and it was pretty big.  i guess if i squinted really hard i could have mistaken it for the great ice wall...but i wasn't squinting, so i knew better).  

anyway, you've got to state facts as to why the earth is a globe and why the earth couldn't be flat.  kind of like a round theory vs a flat theory sort of thing.

the fact im putting forward is that there is an equator.  this is a straight line which spans the entire planet.  if the earth was flat, the equator ring and all the equatory stuff that comes with it could not exist. FACT.

being a captain myself i would have to point out that whenever i sail a boat, to make sure i keep in a straight line, i always check behind me to check if the boats tailstream imprint on the sea is straight.  if i see it curve i make the necessary adjustments to my bearings and continue on a straight sail.  

it is also just good common sense to check behind you when on a boat incase any gays try to slip you a wet willy.

EDIT: what im tryin to get at is that in all my days of sailing i've never seen the ice wall and i only sail in straight lines.

if everything, like all planets and stars are moving upwards, then that means that if you jump off the edge of the flat earth....that would have to mean you'd move upwards with it, you'd never fall behind cos you'd have to be pulled along with this "dark energy", right?   so in this FE "theory", all bodies within the entire universe must be effected by this force, which means we wouldnt feel the "gravity" generated from the accelerating earth, because we ourselves would also have this force acting on us.

if you were to argue why aliens would fail in their attack...then i guess you could say that cos the earth is moving at a constant acceleration, and if the aliens aren't capable of producing the necessary opposing forces to make a successful landing, then the spaceships would (and this is in scientific terms) "Go Boomies" off the earths surface, or even the atmosphere (i dont know which exactly, im not a scientist).  the scenario would be much like flies splatting on a windscreen.
