ive started to read your sacred texts, i must admit although having not done any of the experiments myself, up until chapter 4 i was begining to see where you are coming from. it would be intresting to use modern technology like laser pointers to prove these to be true. im finding since then the book appears to be more of an opinion rather than facts based on evidence.
"As the earth has been proved to be fixed, the motion of the sun is a visible reality."
now this is based ont he fact that items dropped from a moving object can be observed to be falling diagonally. then i was reminded of an observation my friend made the other night while disscussing FET.
"when an item is dropped inside a moving car it drops vertically, even if it was moving at 60 mph". i myself have jump inside a train with the belief that i would move off my original position. could it then be said that the earth is working in the same way. the inside atmosphere of the car is moving at the same speed, perhaps like a 'bubble' of air, the atmosphere of the earth is also moving at the same speed at it rotates. if this was founded to be true then many other therories of his would then lead to be faulse; position and size of the sun etc... it was a shame that the tone of the book changed so rapidly after being quite impressed with his other earlier experiments. ill read on though even though people are starting to think im nuts for even contemplating a flat earth (no im not turning! not yet!).
i just wish i had a strait cannal now in my town now so i can see this for myself. you have to admit that even though an object should disapear at about 3 miles it can be seen for about 6 miles is rather odd, although rowbotham does admit to an horizon only its much further than it should be "The ordinary rate of sailing of the Dublin steamers was fully eight miles an hour; so that the vessel would be, at least, thirty-two miles distant when the mast-head came to the horizon". surely a good telescope can see further than that. after all how do we explain what star gazers witness. i had asked this question previously but nobody said anything about it, but why do we appear to see distant galaxies?
