How do you know that?

Because he understands philosophy, love, art, justice, Good/Bad (maybe), etc. None of those things are vulnerable to the scientific method. Sure, you can say that someday neuroscience will provide all the answers, but it's merely speculation and I highly doubt it. Not to mention, if you really consider the consequence that that future, it's not something to be desired.

What do you mean speculation? We already use neuroscience to analyze emotions.

That isn't pseudo-science.

A molecule being made up of matter and anti-matter simultaniously and stable.

Two magets having their like poles attract.

The sun suddenly burning up all of it's fuel and collapsing into a cold iron ball in a matter of 10 minutes.

Generating more energy than you put into a system assuming a closed system.

Pi is rational and finite.

That's the purpose of this thought process; to figure out if things we think we know to be true, are really true or not. It does no good to just ignore them and say that they are true without constantly examining them. This is how discoveries are made and how we further our intelligence.

No because going really really fast = time travel.
No it doesn't.  You are doing it wrong.

If you were to travel at the speed of light away from earth, travel a distance of 5 light years and come back 10 years later, then it would appear to those on Earth that you had gone and come back instantly but you would still be 10 years older.

This is an odd concept that I've been thinking about lately. Is it possible for us to conceive of something that is physically impossible? You can talk about unicorns and flying spaghetti monsters, but neither of those things are physically impossible. I've been trying to think of something which could never exist under any circumstances, but I haven't been able to. I'm not talking about abstract concepts here like married bachelors or square circles. Those are just issues with language and naming.

Of course, even if we assume that Craig is correct in his argument (which he isn't), it still does nothing to prove that God is a Christian God.

And ichi, what makes you think that emirical data cannot be used to explain everything in the universe? What types of things are beyond empirical data, if any? What if we are simply not intelligent enough to put everything in scientific terms? But that doesn't mean it cannot be done.

metaphysical subjects are human constructs of the brain.  The physical study of which is neurology, or psychology, which could potentially explain why and how we come up with such ridiculous things.

Indeed. I've thought about this many times. Science can explain why people think of something as a "gift". Whether or not it is actually a gift is nonsensical because there is no universal basis for determining this. It's simply a thought held by humans.

Nudity goes hand in hand with sexuality. Anyone with an active sex drive knows that.

Allowing one group to do something and not allowing another group the same thing = discrimination.

Good, so you have no problem with men showering with women.

The keyword there is learned. Of course you can always turn in a paper that you wrote for an entirely different subject, but you probably won't get a good grade on it.

Have you? lol

You still haven't explained how men showering with men is discrimination, or what sexual preference has to do with it.  Showers are for showering.  If someone gets a peek at your dong, I'm sure it won't be the first dong they've seen.

Let me explain it more simply so you can understand it then. If I were to take a shower with someone I was sexually attracted to, I'd probably want to have sex with her. Can you not see the implications of that?

what's discriminatory about that?

Nothing. But allowing homosexuals to shower with other men and not allowing heterosexual men to shower with women would be discrimination.

If you're sexually attracted to someone, don't you want to have sex with her whether you shower with her or not?

Hence the separation of men and women in the armed forces. If this wasn't the case, everything would be co-ed.

Well, to start with the grades you are awarded for the work you submit is meant to reflect the quality and effort of that work. Submitting someone else's work as your own undermines both of those criteria. Submitting your own work for two independent assignments undermines the marking purpose that determines effort, as well as limits the legitimacy of the degree or certificate achieved because less has ultimately been learned by doing one project instead of two.

Like I said, if the assignment and subject matter overlap there is no reason not to do it.

We need illegal immigrants to work for cheap or else prices on things will increase. They get to come to the US and live a better life. win/win

It's because of their sexual preference. Because of DADT, there were officially no homosexuals in the military.

It was definitely entertaining. Anyone who says otherwise doesn't know what entertainment is. Whether or not it can be considered a good movie however is up for debate.

You seem to be arguing that because a certain amount of time has passed we should forget about discrimination.

The problem I've always seen was one of fairness.  If gay men are allowed to check out other men in the showers of say the gym, that they are sexually attracted to(or women for that matter), then I should be allowed to shower with women that I am sexually attracted to.   Alls fair and equal right?

Excellent point.

No its not...straight men have been showering with gay men for as long as there were communal showers and wherever there are communal showers. This is nothing new, and has nothing to do with equitable treatment. I suppose you could claim that it's ultimately not fair, but there's nothing that can be done about that. It's always happened and always will happen.

So just because black people have been discriminated against for x amount of years it means we should just let things lie? No, it was a good point. You are wrong.

Not only do I not understand your point, I find it remarkable how you're pointing to an example of how discrimination is bad in an attempt to justify a different form of discrimination.

It's a fairly simple concept. Maybe you should try to understand it a little better?
