##### Technology, Science & Alt Science / What are your opinions on Evolution
« on: January 24, 2007, 06:55:51 AM »
Evolution is obviously false, monkeys dont give birth to people and loads of monkeys are still around. God created the world 60 years ago and crafted Adam and Eve from a dollop of his own shit.

F = GMm / r^2

(where masses act grom the relevant centres of gravity)
a formula that sctually does work, with G precisely calculated, in FE or RE. since everyone stands perpendicularly against the ground, using this formula you can assume the earth is spherical around the centre of gravity. If we were on a FE, the centre of gravity for the earth would be exclusively beneath the north pole, and everyone would be walking at a funny angle.

I think G is only accurate to 3 significant figures. (I may be wrong) Thats
pretty bad compared to most constants, but its good enough for me.

you mean g. G and g are different.

what about the iranians? they launch their own satellites and their program is closely linked to the military. there must be some sort of link between iran and the rest of the world by which to co-ordinate the Global Conspiracy. so the whole iran/US standoff is a cover-up too?

##### Flat Earth Q&A / Re: Microwave Background
« on: January 24, 2007, 06:29:45 AM »
Quote from: "Xanthanov"
I am sorry, sir, but you are incorrect. The microwave background does encompass all wavelengths; there is a distribution of intensity as a function of wavelength. It PEAKS at frequencies termed microwave. Thus, it is called the microwave background. It is a black body spectrum corresponding to a very low temperature (~2 K). So, while the intensity tapers off sharply at higher or lower frequencies, they are part of the spectrum. Try googling cosmic background spectrum, and find a pretty graph.

and how much charge would you need to hold up the sun and moon? the charge liberated by 1% of the CMBR which is itself pathetically weak?

...this can be seen as an admission that they don't actually know...

Or you can see it for what it really is. They are ignoring you because you are a troll.

i never used to be. i came here first actually wanting to find some stuff out, se why people think this sort of stuff. then when it became clear that they just ignore everything scientific you post then i just got bored and started trolling/spamming. they ignored me before that.

##### Flat Earth Q&A / lunar eclipses
« on: January 23, 2007, 07:30:13 AM »
so, has a FE response emerged yet?

how do lunar eclipses occur in FE?
convention is that the moon is obscured by the shadow of the earth. this is why the edge of the shadow is round and blurred (earth atmosphere refraction). this cannot occur in FE since the moon would have to be both "above" the earth-disc to be visible, and at the same time below it to be obscured by its shadow - since the sun is always above the disc.

haha. i LOVE the way they just ignore these and lock them because they are "offensive". they cannot give a good reason why this is wrong and FE is right. fools.

Quote from: "obcrock"

There is a reason, we just dont know, see my FAQ

Q:What is the motivation for this conspiracy

A:there could be many reason, money, power, embaresment, but we are sure the conspiracy exists because it is the only logical answer

it is a conspiracy. it is not real. but we dont know why there is a conspiracy.
you see, same logic both ways. FE and tumours.

##### Flat Earth Q&A / Re: How the sun and moon are held up (photoelectric effect)
« on: January 23, 2007, 07:18:15 AM »
Quote from: "Rogherio"
In order for this to workI have to take into account a piece of Round earth science; behind all background radiation is that of the big bang.  This I propose is coming from the UA beneath us. This radiation is all of the wavelengths of the EMS but of course only the correct wavelengths have the right frequencies to take part in the photo-electric effect.

cosmic background radiation is not "all of the wavelengths". sorry. it is microwave (~2mm wavelength according to COBE, a sattellite that according to you probably doesnt exist). you need at least UV to liberate electrons. background radiation can't ionise phuque all.

i've brought up things like this before and they never answer. this can be seen as an admission that they don't actually know and that their model cannot explain it. they refuse to comment in any way to try and save face by making it seem like they just haven't come across the thread yet. with that done, they go downstairs and grope some chained-up abducted 4-year-old boys.

"cancer" does not exist. it is a conspiracy.

the government will infect people it doesnt like with a "cancer" as well as an amnesia drug, when they find out something that the government doesnt want them to know. it slowly kills them.

anyone you know with cancer, or who has died from it, are victims of the government's conspiracy. they do not have a tumour, they have been infected by government agents. if they say this is untrue, it is either because of the amnesia drug, or because they are lying to you.

someone will probably close this thread saying i am offensive and insensitive. but that is just because they are part of the conspiracy too. closing this thread will only prove me right. i seriously, genuinely, solelmly believe this. i swear on my life.

there is no difference in logic between this and flat-earth logic and arguments.
FEers, please explain why you disagree with this and agree with FE.

if the sun orbits over the FE equator then wouldnt the sun look bigger from the equator than from the pole? this isnt really the case is it.

##### Flat Earth Q&A / FE space missions
« on: January 23, 2007, 03:06:58 AM »
is it possible to launch a rocket in FE? has a FEer ever made a half-decent one with a camera? how high can it go? could it fly round to the other side of the FE or up to the big dome over the earth?

##### Technology, Science & Alt Science / Parthenogenesis [Virgin Birth]
« on: January 23, 2007, 03:00:07 AM »
not possible for most mammals or us. reptile gender is not determined genetically. mammal gender is (except monotremes?) so no conception can occur without the crucial final X or Y chromosome from sperm. if it ever did happen (there are probably other reasons why it cant) the offspring would either be sterile or female since you cant obtain a Y from a woman. and jesus was a bloke.

its all bollocks and all probably due to a mistranslation of "young woman" to "virgin" or something. look at "maid" and "maiden" to see how easy this is. (cheers Dawkins)

##### Flat Earth Q&A / stars
« on: January 23, 2007, 02:55:08 AM »
Polaris lies above the rotational pole of the earth and stays put throughout the day and night. this is compatible with north-centered FE. what about the southern hemisphere? sigma octantis ( i think it is) is rather faint but still lies above the south pole and stays still during a whole rotation. how is this possible with FE? the star would have to be simultaneously above every point on the edge.

well i gat paid to work on space probes so i should be concerned as to the shape of the earth, if it wasnt round, everything i work on  would end up missing its target or ditching into the sea

##### Technology, Science & Alt Science / What is science?
« on: September 29, 2006, 08:43:11 AM »
SCIENCE:

you come up with an idea.

you use the idea to make predictions.

you conduct experiments to try and confirm the predictions.

you search for evidence to support the contradictions.

you get other people to independently gather evidence.

if the evidence  repeatedly confirms your predictions then your idea becomes a valid scientific theory.

if the evidence collected repeatedly proves inconclusive then your idea is rejected.
