Gravity Isn't Consistant? Figures.

I could see some high up man or woman in charge of press seeing how far he can press his luck and releasing this potato story based on potatos.

Or This could point towards something like this for those Gravity beleiving FE'ers:

I was going to draw something out but this properly shows that parts of the earth more chunky on the bottom than the rest.
It also shows water flowing off the side of the earth.  Also it appears to be a dome.

Prove it.

there's a lot of misinformation about it on the internet which people belive to be true:

It's not possible to get addicted

It's not harmful or carcinogenic

etc.

basically people who want it legal make up stories about it pretending it's better than it is just because that's what they want.. and impressionable people start to beleive it (even thought it's a lie). Combined with the ridiculous anti-drug campaigns which made anyone who argues against drugs lose their credability.... it's a slipperly slope and I am very worried what will happen in the future if they make it legal everyone will start using it and the country will grind to halt

So you are suddenly going to start using drugs for no reason at all if they become legal?

People can't make decision for themselves?

If somebody wanted to do drugs they would do it, regardless of the fact that it is legal or illegal.

Interesting. It could work, however I don't see congress ever letting heroin be manufactured let alone legalized. Again, idealistic. The whole system needs to change.

Also, you are forgetting about other negative affects of drug abuse besides the financial ones. What about health? Social problems? Drug abusers have the tendency to harm people around them (and they don't make very good parents either)

bullshit.

Funny, although just like everything else Thorne does, I don't believe it's true for a second.  It takes about two minutes to make a "lost cat" poster yourself with Microsoft Word, so it seems kind of silly to hire a complete stranger to do it for you.  And even if she did want someone else to make a poster, she wouldn't keep on pleading with him when his first response is a joke about her cat dying.

Wait, what am I even talking about?  Thorne doesn't make posters or graphics for a living.  His writing is literally his work.  I think he's given up trying to make his stories sound even remotely plausible.

/nitpick

This works when somebody want you to design them something for free.

also i lold literally when i saw the lost poster

You are all wrong about it not being an addiction. I know loads of people that can't go even a few hours without a spliff.

Don't spliffs have tobacco in them?

Weed is always smoked with tobacco unless you are a hardcore rasta or using a bong.

No. Weed is never smoked with tobacco unless you are a dirty bum.
Not true.  Smoking weed straight is more an American thing.  Europe, Australia, etc go the other way.

Meh. Bowls and bongs are rather popular here. In my experience tobacco is far too harsh to add to most smoking devices.

My real point was that smoking marijuana straight does not make you a hardcore rasta, and is in fact the norm in a lot of places.

Your skinny straight marijuana joints don't really count. Can you even get high from that?
Doing the same thing with less marijuana would?

Who said anything about less marijuana?

The times I tried smoking weed mixed with tobacco I thought the tobacco ruined the taste.  I never minded having to relight a joint.

For me without tobacco a lot of the weed gets wasted because it doesn't burn properly. How much tobacco did you add?

I usually added just enough to let it burn properly. Usually 75% weed, 25% tobacco. The tobacco didn't really ruin the taste for me.

Eh, I guess it could since tobacco stays lit better than weed does. But if people are addicted to a combination of weed and tobacco, it's ONLY because of the tobacco and the nicotine in it. They have no chemical addiction to the marijuana.

I guess it's just the psychological addiction.

It was a professional foul and he was punished by getting a red card, giving away a penalty and getting banned from the next match. It was a tactical move which ANY player would have done in that situation.
Yes, in such a tight situation, any player would have done the same. My point is Suarez did not respect the rules of the game. We can say he was heroic by sacrificing himself for his team, but he still committed an act of dishonesty regardless. The punishments do not justify his act.

How does the punishment not justify it? It isn't his fault that Gyan missed that penalty.

Not only that, the free kick that caused the handball was from a deliberate dive by the Ghana player. That free kick shouldn't even have existed.

What? No, it isn't always smoked with tobacco.  Mixing it with tobacco is disgusting.

Tobacco helps it burn better. I should probably rephrase that and say a lot of people in Europe prefer to mix it.

I wanted Germany to score more to punish the Argentinians for their uninspiring defense. For instance, Schweinsteiger had absolutely no difficulty running the ball into the Argentine penalty area and delivering it to Klose for a great finish. After witnessing Argentina's performance against Mexico, I expected this would happen.

I love how whenever your beloved team loses it's always because of cheating or a bad ref call. Ever think that maybe, just maybe, the opposing team won fair and square?
Well, I have to say Suarez's conduct was not very sportsmanlike. It would have been Ghana 2 : 1 Uruguay had he decided not to blocked the ball intentionally with his hands. Since he decided to do so, the ball failed to go into the net and Gyan was forced to take a penalty kick instead.

It was a professional foul and he was punished by getting a red card, giving away a penalty and getting banned from the next match. It was a tactical move which ANY player would have done in that situation.

Any drug being illegal is stupid. It's not the government's place to protect people from themselves.

That's why we have laws.  If people were smart enough to protect themselves, we wouldn't have to have a legal drinking limit, seatbelt laws, or even laws against polluting the environment.  The problem is that not only are people stupid BUT they have a tendency to hurt others when they act stupid.

To me, any drug that is not designed to heal you or help you in any way AND alters your brain chemistry should be illegal.  Yes that includes alcohol.
Not only does it bring our general population's intelligence down when they hit the teen years BUT contrary to what you hear, Marijuana does lead to other, harder drugs in the same way that a pack of cigarettes a week can lead to 2 packs a day, and a few beers a week can lead to whiskey daily.  Why?
Tolerance.  When your body has some form of drug, be it medical or not, in your body often, you get used to it; You build a tolerance.  The same effect that was harmless before now doesn't do it for you so you go after more.  Few people have the ability to avoid this.  Hell, this happens with caffeine too!

I grew up in the weed capital of my little, apple orchard area.  I sat next to the weed supplier (he grew it himself) for the whole town during 9th grade math.
He burned down his barn while high.
Next, the girl I had a crush on?  Weed.  Promised me she'd NEVER do speed.  What happens?  She started taking speed.  Ended up breaking and entering for drug money.  Last I heard she was in jail.
And when you're on an LSD trip, you can do some fucked up shit.  Unprotected sex, self-inflicted injuries, abuse, rape, and who knows what else.

When you're not yourself, you never know who you'll be.

Lol. You really are hilarious. Did you ever think the girl that you had a crush on tried pot for the same reasons she tried speed? And that she probably would have done speed even without pot?

As for being in a drug capital, my area has one of the worst heroin problems per capita in the U.S. and I can tell you something, I know hundreds of pot heads that won't touch a single drug other than pot, and I know people that won't touch pot but will put 200 dollars worth of pills up their nose while their kid starves.

Drugs ruin lives, pot does not.

pot IS a drug get your facts straight

No, thc is a drug that is contained in pot. Its effects are largely non addictive, and entirely short term. Nearly all bad side effects associated with marijuana are simply correlations between the kind of people that would use an illegal substance and their life styles.

My friend has a crumbler that gathers all the THC at the bottom. It takes a few months to gather up a decent amount to smoke but it gets you sooo highhh :D

I thought I lost the debate when:
1) I showed my ignorance.
2) I admitted my biased.
3) I tried debating in a forum full of people who smoke Marijuana or used to.

Seriously, you're slow on the uptake.

For the record, I've never smoked marijuana and never intend to, so you can't claim that as a reason why people argue for its legality.

Why would I generalize?  There's plenty of people who DO argue for it's legality because they smoke it and others who argue, as you do, for other reasons.

Hell, there are people who argue for keeping it illegal because they were personally hurt by it and others, like me, who are unjustifiably angry.

You were hurt by it while it was still illegal. What makes you think keeping it illegal will change anything? The bullies that picked on you would have still hurt you whether or not they smoked weed.

Slightly off-topic but I just saw a guy shooting up speed (I'm assuming it was amphetamine not heroin cos heroin isn't very popular here and he was walking around with fast, slightly jerky movements afterwards) right in his kitchen window in the building opposite me.
I think I ought to send him a note telling him to put up curtains...

Also thats really not the kind of thing I'd expect to see in my neighbourhood

Meh.
My neighborhood used to be just as bad. Crack house next door and all.
Guy who owned the house across the street (he rented the bottom half out) died of an Overdose in his kitchen.

The thing is my neighbourhood isn't bad at all. Its an expensive part of the city, lots of families and the elderly. You definitely don't expect to see it.

The rich are the worst drug abusers.

lol Dann just felt like giving you shit. plus when your stoned you tend to be a bit lazy so chances are eventually you will forget to put eye drops in or forget to spray yourself or just blatantly get caught

lol. My true story...

I was sitting in my basement with a girl one fine day when i lived at home. My mom was doing laundry. Apparently i had left a bag of weed in my pocket, and it came out in the wash. she pulled the baggy out, and asked me what it was. I went pale. Iw as like.. aw shit. Then my mom says, Oh, well your brother went to Katies house for dinner yesterday, he must have been trying to be polite and pretend he ate broccoli and put it in this bag when they werent looking (my brother is an anti-vegetable kid)

I shat and agreed. She was fooled.

Then, i just stopped giving a fuck, and came home smelling like weed after half hour walks and made it super obvious.

Your story has already proved that parents that have never experienced weed cant tell that their kid is high.

if he is withdrawn and sits in his room yes you are a shitty parent but he probably isnt smoking pot if he is sitting in his room all the time.
Fucker, you know what i mean.

When you are high, you wouldn't really act weird. Usually you would look a little drowsy and you can get away with that by either saying you are tired, wearing glasses or running straight into the bathroom. Most kids spray themselves with perfume and stick a mint or chewing gum into their mouth before they enter the house, so the smell won't give it away either. The drowsiness usually lasts for a few hours (depends on how strong the weed is) but with a quick shower or washing your face, you would be sober again or at least look sober.

It is pretty easy to get away with it when you have parents that have no experience of it.
Instead of weird, i should have said different, like.. WARING SUNGLASSES INSIDE, SAYING YOU'RE TIRED ALL THE TIME, OR RUNNING STRAIGHT TO THE BATHROOM EVERY TIME YOU COME HOME... or smelling like they just put on cologne every time they come home.

Who the heck do you think you're talking to? Someone who has never smoked weed? Silly berries.

You have experienced it, so if your kid did that you would be suspicious. A parent that has never experienced it would have no clue.

Sorry, i don't buy that. If your kid starts acting weird, get suspicious and ask questions. you do NOT act the same high as when you are sober.

I quit Marijuana 4 months ago. The weed smokers I know hate other drugs and would never touch them.

I'm sure this is the same with the majority of weed smokers, maybe a minority move onto other drugs.

Just out of curiosity, how old are you and your friends?

ohh noes im a criminal :(
I still <3 you supah

but yeah like snackpack said usually when buying marijuana you have two types of of dealers. The stoner dealer who only smokes weed, only sells weed and like snackpack refuses to try anything else(better more fair dealer imo)
Then there is choice number two which is that shady guy who sells more then just weed and is typically a hood rat or a wannabe gangster. this guy is only in it for the money(typically rips people off and is known to try to rob drug dealer type one).
But yes like supah said they are all criminals

The dealers I know, only sell weed. The strange thing is none of them actually smoke it, they are only in it for the money.

Usually there is a group of dealers "crew" "family" that work together but each dealer specialises in a specific drug.
