Flat Earth General / Re: Looking for FE explanation of video

The windows on these planes are curved which can distort the view which is why the flat earth looks slightly curved. It's like an optical illusion.

Flat Earth General / Re: Where is the sun?
« on: February 10, 2019, 02:11:23 AM »
The sun isn't as far as "they" say it is. It's really just a man-made object placed in the sky and we are made to believe it's this thing that gives us light and heat. In reality the universe isn't that cold and we don't really need a "sun" to survive.
Oh really? I assume you are joking but in case someone is foolish to seriously suggest this:
If the sun is "really just a ::) man-made object placed in the sky ::) and we . . . believe it's this thing that gives us light and heat" who placed it there and when?

It must have been before about 600 BCE because Anaximander who lived about 610 to 546 BCE felt the need to include the sun in his suggested cosmology.
Anaximander was a very early Greek who lived before the Globe was introduced.
Quote
Anaximander (c. 610—546 B.C.E.)
Anaximander was the author of the first surviving lines of Western philosophy. He speculated and argued about "the Boundless" as the origin of all that is. He also worked on the fields of what we now call geography and biology.
Read the details at IEP, Anaximander
This is his universe:

The radial distances are in earth diameters but not knowing his earth diameter his distances and sizes cannot readily be determined.

I think you need to expand your thinking.
This isn't a new conspiracy that has just popped up in the past few years. This has existed long before we were born.
Also a lot of the technology we have right now existed 1000-2000 years ago but was kept a secret from us. Take a look at the pyramids. How do you think they were built without advanced technology?

Read Earth not a globe.

Where might one find more information on this? Curious about the "man-made" nature of the sun and how it is not necessary to survive.

Philosophy, Religion & Society / Brexit
« on: February 09, 2019, 12:00:25 PM »
How will brexit impact flat earth?
I think after brexit the truth that the earth is flat will finally come out. The british economy will collapse and they won't have the funds to continue the cover up and it will slowly start to unravel. This is one of the reasons why I voted for Brexit.

« on: August 25, 2013, 04:30:18 PM »
SMF isnt "just the brand.". It is a forum software which uses a WYSIWYG editor.

BBCode is the name of the language used to create things. Things like erm let me see.. bullet points.

Here is a useful link which you learn more about BBCode on this awesome new website I found called Wikipedia.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/BBCode

You can learn how to create things like bullet points, quotes or tables.

I'm not really following you on all your threads. This is the only one. In fact you replied to 2 of my other threads. This is the first thread I've replied to of yours. I'm just helping you out here. :)

You didn't even know how to view the post you just made this mornong. Don't make out that you understand how the forum works. Get out and let the admins ignore this properly.

I may not know how SMF works but I have a pretty damn good idea of how bullet points work. If you are wondering what SMF is, it is a free open source forum software. Did you think FES developed their own software? Do you think they developed that WYSIWYG editor? Learn how to write a few simple tags and stop identifying a lack of features as "bugs".

You don't create it manually, you simply copy and paste the previous tag. It's not broken. The problem you are experiencing isn't a feature. That doesn't mean it is broken.

Selecting a list and clicking the bullet points button only gives the first item a bullet point.

This means you always have to do it manually which is irritating and takes a while.

I don't expect anyone to fix it as no one gives a crap, but the fault is there and logged should a keen admin one day be appointed and go back through some of these old suggestions.

I'll make a big shout out to future FES users too. This message is from the distant past when the forum was owned by that awful Daniel guy that you successfully ousted in the end. If you ever feel nostalgia for him just remember how nothing ever got done.

That is because bullet points don't work that way you muppet. Highlighting text and clicking the bullet point button will recognize the entire highlighted area as 1 bullet point. Is it that hard to just create the LI tags while you are creating your bullet points? It's simple here is how you do it.

  • Before you create your list, click on the bullet point button
  • Populate LI tags with your points
  • Add additional LI tags if necessary
  • ::) ::) ::) ::) ::)

Suggestions & Concerns / Re: redirect after posting is wrong
« on: August 25, 2013, 09:17:19 AM »
After creating a post why does the page redirect to the forum instead of the thread that I actually I posted on. Everybody likes to proof read their post and check for mistakes so this just creates an additional step.

Sort it out non-super admins.

Go to Profile - Modify Profile - Look and Layout and tick the box next to Return to topics after posting by default , Dickface.  ::)

What I'm saying is it should be set as default because it would make more sense, you giant piece of noodle. :)
No, that's not what you were saying. And you are welcome, Tool.

Who starts a new sentence with an "And"? Silly marmite flavored doughnut.

"Do you have proof that these multi-billion dollar companies that manufacture these camera's aren't in on the conspiracy? Also ever heard of photoshop?"

Actually, you stated that camera companies are also part of the magnificent conspiracy. Therefore, the burden of proof lies upon you to prove it. You cannot argue that proof must be provided that camera companies are not involved in a conspiracy, without providing some evidence for your claim first.

Actually, by denying the claim he created a new claim therefore the burden of proof is on him.

Why is the earth so small in those photos? Why is the earth concave in the last picture? It is the result of a fish-eye lens. Am I to abandon common sense when accepting such evidence?

The idea that camera makers are in on the conspiracy is obnoxious.

Obviously.  Roy did say like, not exactly the same as.  Use a camera without a fisheye lense, see how it pans out.

It's not just fish-eye lens that create this effect. All lens create this effect. Fish-eye lens just over exaggerates it to make it seem like the regular lens are "normal". Ever wonder why you look fat in pictures? because "regular" lens makes you look slightly rounder.

This is when a thread should be locked.
Ugh. Anyone know if we can ban people from threads?
I will have you banned again if you don't stop crying.

I agree, I will unleash my super admin skills if he doesn't stop crying. I'm sure he's cried a nice big river by now.

I agree, a picture does not prove curvature because of the lens. Camera companies are in on this conspiracy with these lenses to make the earth look round. Have you ever wondered why you look fatter in pictures? It's because the lens makes you look rounder.

Every camera maker in the world is in on the conspiracy, now?

By the way, our last foray into high altitude pictures wound up with every flat earther running away after it was claimed that the lip of the earth curving behind itself was actually the day/night terminator, and I pointed out that the so called terminator was running east to west, roughly through northern virginia. Nary a peep after that.

Do you have proof that these multi-billion dollar companies that manufacture these camera's aren't in on the conspiracy? Also ever heard of photoshop?

Not at all.  I had no intention of creating a thread in the first place.

Please apologise to Jroa before I unleash my Super Admin skills on you. thanks.

Flat Earth General / Re: Contrails
« on: August 24, 2013, 01:46:20 PM »
Sorry, I didn't think it was that cryptic.

The point being, contrails form at around 30'000 feet, yet we see the contrails trailing down over the horizon.

How is this possible on a FE?

Do you have any proof that contrails can only form on a round earth?

This is also possible on FE.

Yeah, I don't really see why not. However...

In fact, look outside your window and tell me if the ground is flat or curved?

...tell me, how would a normal person be able to detect a curvature of 0.09° per kilometre with the naked eye?

A curvature of 0.09° per kilometre can't be recognized with the naked eye because there isn't one. It's as simple as that.

Assuming it exists, would you be able to see it?

Can you prove that you can't see it?
