Flat Earth Q&A / Who proved that the earth is round?
« on: March 14, 2006, 05:06:43 AM »
I need to find out who proved the earth is round. I have to do this crossword puzzle of random questions for school, and I haven't found anything that fits off of google. The clue is "Proved the earth is round." It's a 6 letter name; that's all I know. All help is appreciated.

See if "quacks" fits.

Flat Earth Q&A / Proof is not spelt c-o-n-s-p-i-r-a-c-y

Righty-oh, seeing as class is in and I'm in the ring with the RE heavyweights lets do some lab work. Take an object that is flat, representing the earth as we know it, say, a nondescript office desk . Proceed to gently pour a few litres of water (or fractions of a gallon for the numerically challenged) representing a large body of water, onto the centre of your flat object. You will notice that the water proceeds to run off this model planet almost completely. Now, find your nearest coastline and travel to that location. Once there, it will be apparent that oceans (very large bodies of water) are contained within earth. Now, take a shallow container with a flat base, such as a petri dish and proceed to fill it. You will be astounded that this disk shaped object is able to hold water and compares directly with your recent (hopefully) observations of a coastline. This is an easy way for you to prove the existance of the icewall unless you live in the interior regions of your country, in which case you are probably too hot and bothered to care what shape your planet is, even if you had the desire to travel a long way to find out.

If no one has EVER infiltrated the ice wall, why do you think it exists?

Whilst I have said there have been no successful attempts, I never said there havent been attempts. On this very site there are eyewitness accounts and some personal images of close proximity to the icewall. These accounts document beatings and removal from the area. There are no doubt many who have suffered the brain wipe and have no recollection of their own bravery. Tragic.

do me a favour Zoobtron answer this one dont try the usual escape and evade.

Everybody needs to gaze to the avatar section of cinlef's posts. You will notice in small print, his title of moderator. "Thats strange" you will exclaim, as it is immediately apparent that he is a fanatical RE supporter. "How could this possibly come to pass on the Round Earth Society?" will be the next obvious thought process. Being such a sensitive site with damaging implications to the Federation of Centralised Earth Control, the only logical answer is that he is a government plant. This, coupled with Erasmus subtle ass-kissing by way of celebratory posting toward cinlef indicates that he too, is in line for a moderators position. Soon, every brave FE defender will be attempting to escape and evade a BAN to the head and a KICK to the nuts. I mean, I could ride round earthers so hard that I would need to install handlebars and seats on every one of them to do so safely, but my posts existance would be in dire jeopardy. So escape and evade I must.

"Proof is not spelt c-o-n-s-p-i-r-a-c-y". Obviously you have not read cheesejoffs mind numbing assault upon the senses entitled Flat-Earther's, I challenge YOU to disprove this logic! Within this warm cable of backed-out wisdom you will find that indeed, proof can be spelt conspiracy using the correct mathematical notations.

The rest of your text is a blatant attempt to intimidate those loving samaritans who would seek to unshackle the minds of RE's such as yourself. However I am confident that you don't actually have a mind and are therefore probably in imminent danger of "death by absence of nervous system".

Every photo i've seen of the round earth has been automatically dismissed as a photoshop job

The fabricated images are actually the spherical depictions of earth and thus, are easily identified. Hope that helps in picking the RE hoaxes.

but i still have seen no proof whatsoever of this fabled 'ice wall' of such epic proportions.

An epic image will likely prove to be a RE attempt to plant evidence to later be disproved for two reasons.

A) No successful infiltration of the icewall zone has occurred. Anyone wishing to attempt this is risking their life and memory! Any image shown will be a fake.

B) 150ft is not of epic proportion by any stretch of the imagination. An RE image will likely prove much larger than actual icewall dimensions in an attempt to lure FE support to the image.

As far as theories go i've read theories of space suttles being used to smuggle cocainne and OJ Simpson being arrested for bis role in Capricorn 1, not for the murder of his wife. PLease shed some light on the issue, and not hot light or cold light, i mean proper proof, indisputable proof totally void of impossible and impossible-to-proove theories about 'the government'

I am confident no evidence I can give will convince a person who pertains to crack-pot conspiracies involving OJ Simpson and cocaine space shuttles. I feel condolences to your family are probably more in order. Please, think of them before you research these rediculous notions.

I actually have two degrees, both in theoretical physics

Buy yourself a medal

It has been said that sarcasm is the lowest form of wit, yet it appears it is not a low enough form to be grasped by even the most respected advocates of the round earth theory. I am not a tertiary educated at all, yet there are many here who claim they are and still make grave errors in expression and construction of arguments, discrediting what ever knowledge they have. Then again I'm sure completing a degree involves alot of cutting and pasting prior works with little actual thought.

See for just such evidence. I'm sure I didn't need to post this link (already posted elsewhere on this site, and not by me), seeing as you have so many more degrees in Theoretical Physics than I do: I talked to some physics undergrads and they all have done the experiment (and understand the implications) themselves. I suppose they could all have been brainwashed by their profs, of course.

Yeah, I spoke to the same undergrads afterwards and they complained of headaches after the professor introduced them to the brain wipe. Honestly, can we have some arguments with some kind of quantifiable evidence. I don't care if they did any experiment as they are obviously fabricated to confirm your link (that doesn't work I might add).

Flat Earth Q&A / Any proof for flat earth?

Well you are indeed wrong. This is the flat earth society and the burden of proof is definantly with the round herd. You wouldn't expect to have to defend Flat earth ideals on a flat earth forum would you? Besides, the only evidence we have posted here from roundies are from diagrams others have drawn via theories others have convoluted watered down with technobabble. What's with the username anyway. Do you feel like a real tough-guy picking on the mentally challenged among us when it is painfully obvious that you stand in their ranks?

Flat Earth Q&A / Flat-Earther's, I challenge YOU to disprove this logic!
« on: February 20, 2006, 02:59:27 AM »
Hmmmm. I think your pathetic attempt at logic has only been made possible by a slight retardation of your brain during your formative stages. The evidence I sight is the fact you took two separate and longwinded attempts to simply state: If argument A (earth is round ) = true then earth is round. This is easily proof by logical progression that cheesejoff = special olympics candidate. Anyway...a reply that you were awaiting:

o Premise, just for this sub-argument: "If A is true, then cheesejoff has the logic understanding of a typical block of semi-matured". Call this premise A.

o Suppose A is true. Then:

+ If A is true, then Cheesejoff is a cheddar component

+ So the Cheddar is not capable of cognitive decision (still supposing A).

o That's the end of the sub-argument.

# We've shown that if A is true then the cheddar is daft

# But that's what A says.

# So A is true.

# But if A is true, the Earth is flat due to the round earth deception being defended by the lifeless forms of cheese products ( I sight evidence being the opening argument of this thread ).

# So the Earth is flat!

I look forward to having a burger with cheese. BURNT.

Flat Earth Q&A / Mathematics, anyone?

Erasmus imparted this ode of wisdom

Well, I think that FE'ers cover their bases by claiming that all predictions of the FE theory are unverifiable due to force applied by an agent with unknown motives.

Yes...this is what I'm talking about. I think rather than squabbling over differences in physics interpretation, more time should be spent by both camps determining where the spherical earth deception originated and accurate origin of the perpetrators.

Physical proof proved his genuis thus

Okay, I am a conspiracy theorist big time. But this??? its just plain retarded. I have a degree in Theoretical Physics.

Yeah? What I do I. I actually have two degrees, both in Theoretical physics. Let's get it on disco showdown style. Come on mate, no grandiose claims on the internet please. Next a roundie is going to head out with "I am actually the president of........". Have mercy on your dignity people.

there is such thing as newtons gravitational constant

Hmmmm. Relying heavily on widely speculative variables such as mass of the earth and seemingly proven with other "planets" with basically unproven  composition . Ball park physics at best. I'd rather see this attraction between mass proven in the lab between much smaller objects. Surely no one here is arrogant enough to take current theories of gravity as gospel. What about the string theorists throwing your weight around here. Care to elaborate on your learnings of the origins of gravity? Get ready for a good chuckle!

 cheesjoff blabbered

Basically they will deny any proof with their wooly ideas.

Pray tell what on this flat earth is wooly? This had better not be more Yankistan spelling, the original butchers of the english language.

I think it's really neat how the "round Earth conspiracy" would never have been possible without the very technology that allows us to go into space and look at the Earth to see how undeniably round it is.

Please elaborate.

Flat Earth Q&A / Ad-Hominem attacks! Not guilty!
« on: February 06, 2006, 11:04:21 PM »
It seems the ugly slur of being an ad-hominem attacker is perminantly attached to my username. In my defense I would simply like to state that I have not once attacked anybody with an ad-hominem argument. I have rather tried to ensure that users are legitimate and/or made sure they using personal information sources for benefits of their own lateral  thinking. I would like to encourage the team ROUND EARTH to attempt personal manned space travel for future photography of their spherical earth, or if they have used personal measuring equipment for percieved curvature/distance anomalies to direct mail personal reciepts for the required equipment, plane purchase/rental and required training etc to a third party such as the mods. Don't feel obliged to reply.

Well, to give you an insight into the two available types of brain wipe you are asking about, the first is a process that involves erasing memories currently with a period of one to two months. It is a preferred weapon of governments hoping to maintain misinformation when the usual defamation tactics are not going to be credible - defamation tactics being a preferred weapon of the drones on this site also. The other brain wipe involves setting up a toilet roll holder on the chin of serial retards like logic! and used as a sanitary wipe when uncontrolled release of matter- best described as effluent-like manages to appear as a post. I hope you feel a little more enlightened.

Flat Earth Q&A / The continuous work of the few
« on: February 06, 2006, 10:27:33 PM »
Cinlef disturbingly uttered:

ALso you've seen no proof because you disregard all widely accepted proof ie photos from space

And I suppose the satellites that are responsible for these widely accepted photo's have your company/personal logo on the side? Widely accepted therefore becomes naively accepted. You cannot grasp the magnitude of the conspiracy because of the percieved complexity of maintaining misinformation over a massive popualtion, but go on to prove how educated people can accept information as gospel that is only available via distribution from closed sources.

Though initially difficult and requiring a varied array of movements, conspiracies become progressively easier to shroud as the larger the misinformed population becomes, the more self-perpetuating the myth (see moon landings).

God almighty man either get help or admit your a troll

I think you should go and admit you are being unwittingly used as a vessel of misinformation for your government FOR FREE I might add. If your going to do things for nothing my lawn needs mowing......

Smash it out! Two roundies think the other is a flat earther and are taking no prisoners. Don't let me interupt you two mentally challenged round-earth specimens. I'll also make the point of warning anybody who wishes to visit the icewall. You will be captured by a UN policing unit and detained. A brain wipe will be performed during a lengthy quarantine period. Just think of how profound the image will be of seeing uniformed troops approaching you just as your understanding of the world was about to be destroyed - wearing the UN flat earth logo on their jackets. WOW! I think I need some fresh air after that vision.

Step 2: Get spoon fed complex flat-spherical conversion data from controlled sources. I know I didn't put any satellites into space, how about you guys?
Step 3: Post an arrogant but ultimately self damning message about your experiences with electronic playthings of the "enlightened".

I think postmodernist relativism has suffered decontextualization in the face of the prevailing neo-heliocentrist paradigm. A careful examination reveals an intellectual class struggle underpinning discussion on this forum.
Righty oh, he's found the thesaurus button compliments an imagined field of study quite nicely.
The oppressed class in question is the "little learning" class -- those with an introduction to formal science, either through secondary or post-secondary institution(alism), finding themselves at odds with the authoritarian and repressive modality of so-called mathematics, so-called logic, and the so-called hard sciences.
Ah...forgive me if I am wrong, but I do believe that there was indeed no "oppressed class in question" in your opening salvo of bullshyte that this second, more pungent paragraph makes a direct reference to. This inability to combine what outwardly appears to be high level intellectual thought processes into a single sensible argument becomes pure comedy when it gets nasty with some perceived intellectual underachievers. Rather, it is the author is quite clearly the one struggling at the limit of his abilities with a word processor. I believe the post is more fable than  paradigm and therefore the pretentious BALONEY is fit only for the underside of the s-bend with all the other steaming logs contributed by team round. BURNT.

Flat Earth Q&A / A quesiton about the Flat Earth Conspiracy
« on: February 05, 2006, 06:33:47 PM »
Wow, you guys are a real pair of back patting, butt slapping fan boys for the drones. It's powerful reading when the first poster takes 3000 words to say "its not possible for the world to be flat because the conspiracy is impossible" then tag teams with another nutcase who proceeds to back this nonsense up with "they don't believe its flat surely". The only thing I can't believe is why you guys aren't posting your perpetual drivel alone to each other on some deserted forum because it's obvious the only input you two require is only from each other and some cro magnon called mundi. I was honestly waiting for some QUESTION this thread seemingly refers to but instead was rudely assaulted by a host of STATEMENTS. Please re-read your mind numbingly rediculous hyperbole Cinlef and re-submit with the "intended" question  at the beginning of your predictable ranting - if you had one to begin with. Why you people have renaissance portraits as avatars when your minds are obviously in the dark ages is beyond me.

Flat Earth Q&A / Good, too good.

Besides, there may be private visits that you don't know about, after all private trips do not need to make themselves known.

Yes, pursued closely by escorting flocks of winged pigs. Have you ever questioned why trips to Antarctica are government controlled and have such long quarantine times afterwards. Brain wipes take time to do correctly. I know I'd like to have one after seeing the void on the other side of the 150ft ice-wall. Sometimes I'd just like one to erase the memory of some of the rubbish posted by spherists. It seems cheesejoff has already had a brain wipe seeing as he is referring to his spherical earth as round, as I share that belief also.....round and flat   .

Flat Earth Q&A / Good, too good.

That was an amazing read for your first post. I think I actually dropped several IQ points by absorbing that purile pile of steaming cable. YOU my friend are on the FLAT EARTH SOCIETY FORUM. The fact that it exists and the ROUND EARTH SOCIETY FORUM does not is reason enough to believe that the world is indeed flat and has an icewall the government doesn't want you to visit. No fooling around, it IS flat and I am patiently waiting for the drones to pack up and bother another forum. By the way if you side with the drones you will be labelled a "round earther" which is a retarded 2D term picked by the morons who believe the earth is spherical. Unbelievable.

Flat Earth Q&A / Why would we be lied to...
« on: January 26, 2006, 01:11:26 AM »
Naive. How do all lies start. It begins with the utterance of an initial mistruth and grows depending on who has the most to benefit from those gullible enough to take the works of others as gospel. A forum is a good place to start as it a microcosm of society and contains plenty of bs artists because the of the lack of face to face contact means accountability is zero. Those defending the position of a spherical earth usually begin their spiel with " I am a fisicks profissar..." or "I werk for a transowshianik airlieyn kumpni so cn yoo xplyan wy the erth" etc. With rank and file drones happy accept the education system as it is and the notion that the earth is a ball (rediculous I know!) the obvious and immediate benefits of such a huge cover-up is stability and control. We all know the long term benefits the hoaxed moon landings brought the US in a time the required technology to perform such a landing have since proven not to have existed - Prestige, immigration of the worlds thinking elite, a belief in one ideals superiority over another....these are the powers of lying and they are aggressively harnessed in particular by a nation with a monopoly on the information media.

Flat Earth Q&A / i would like to have some proof
« on: January 26, 2006, 12:24:37 AM »
Yes, there was one point that was strangely ommitted. If there is any aspiring "round earth" comics in attendance it might be wise to provide some kind of loud laugh track to drown out the distracting groans/screams of the rest of the audience when said comedian attempts to showcase his awe inspiring "wit". You won't get any astronauts in the audience either because they are kept in guarded stasis and only released after several powerful brain wipes to perform controlled interviews by authorised puppets.

Flat Earth Q&A / Another challenge for flat earthers.
« on: January 26, 2006, 12:10:16 AM »
Why should any flat earther have to attempt such silly rubbish. You are referring to pictures you have seen available only from sources other than yourself. My challenge to you is to gather the funds and create your own space program, or aquire a position aboard a space flight and take a photo with your own hands of your spherical earth (round according to you which is a 2d term spastic). I think however a more suitable challenge for a drone like yourself would be to attempt the successful tying of your shoelaces. This challenge should have AT MOST a 24 hour timelimit and some supervision from an adult in case of any serious injury/death.
