Flat Earth Q&A / Re: New Ice Wall Question
« on: April 28, 2010, 09:33:39 PM »
Antarctic ice doesn't attach to the ocean floor, it attaches to the Antarctic continent.

Don't confuse the two, the Antarctic continent is above sea level.

For the purposes of this argument there is no difference - it arose because somebody claimed that water could flow UNDER the Ice Wall. The composition of the Ice Wall, provided it's make of solids, does not mitigate the obvious falsity of the original claim.

So far, the only image I have seen of your ice wall is a pictures of an ice shelf.

Guess what, water flows under them.

Water also flows under ground, ever heard of an Aquifer?
There could also be massive underground caves throughout the ice wall crust letting water out.

Its not a bible or a Codex of complete truth.  Its an outdated book that is referenced due to it having relevant bits to current theory in it.  Except by some who still hold it to be true and are incorrect.

Much like the entire basis behind it.

Flat Earth Q&A / Re: Is there a FE consensus on Moon shape?
« on: April 28, 2010, 09:20:31 PM »
Because we are on a sphere, by the time you actually get to see a different face (that you would see in FET being a flat plane) you have gone past the horizon and the moon is now out of view.

We have a horizon in FE too.

Figure out why.

FE would create a horizon due to perspective, nothing from the sky would ever go underneath this horizon, they would shrink until they disappear.
The Sun and Moon do not change to sizes that would be observed due to a perspective horizon, they sink below the horizon.

Once you can come up with an appropriate reason that this is observed, I will be happy to even think FE has a leg to stand on.

Ah, but you are talking local scale maps.

Try find the innacuracies in Google Earth, something that does the complete globe in a single map.

125
As many people state, some FE'ers believe the earth is an infinite plane, or it is so immensely large you would need a supply train/truck or other form of a vast amount of supplies to get past the coldest, harshest, and roughest weather and temperatures on this known earth on FE or RE.

I bolded the main problem.

Any proof that it is an infinite plane? What if the wall is like a fence, once you're over you're in paradise?

Beliefs are fine, just expect to need evidence if you want anyone to take you seriously.

Flat Earth Q&A / Re: Is there a FE consensus on Moon shape?
« on: April 27, 2010, 09:28:27 PM »
But the point is that if you have an object that size, at that height above your surface, and attempt to have two people view it from the surface while separated by a large disance, they will both see a different part of the object.

You still haven't explained why this isn't an issue in RE.  I'm truly interested to know.

Because we are on a sphere, by the time you actually get to see a different face (that you would see in FET being a flat plane) you have gone past the horizon and the moon is now out of view.

Well done Tom for your complete misunderstanding of where the Sun is during an Equinox.

That is how I believe light is distributed across the Earth, however, it is not how I believe the Sun moves.

Light is distributed like that because Earth is a spherical body, you can conclude that just from using that picture.

FYI: That is how the Sun moves, whether you like it or not, when you transfer an RE map to a FE projection.

Plus you wouldn't see planes the shape of flying buses in the Southern Hemisphere if they do not travel at the speeds they say.

The entire theory falls to pieces because they can't even make an accurate map.

Even with all the maps available, they cannot even edit one to a flat plane to represent what everyone observes.
How are we supposed to edit several inaccurate maps into an accurate one?

Usually, when a map works and everything is the way everyone observes, generally it means it's accurate.

Dunno what maps you have been looking at.

This is the internet, the base currency is lulz.

I thought it was porn. Guess I'm wrong.

Oohhh hang on, I think you're onto something

1 porn = many lulz

I guess you're right.

The depth and rim-distance would not matter how large or small they are.

It just wouldn't work on a flat plane.

5.  And how did you figure all this out?
5.We saw it outside and calculated the information and observed with a telescope.

I'd actually love to see what they have to say about this one.

Seeing as it is unable to be observed with any equipment what-so-ever.

Staying in space is another matter.

Depends what bullshit theory you tune in on.

If planets and such are moving upwards, then should we be able to stay in space if we reach the threshold distance that allows the UA to push us up aswel?

Did you take my example literally and actually go through the post finding anything that didn't sync up?

Oh, so you FE'ers can, but I'm not allowed to?

Wow, hypocrisymore.

The south pole is below the north pole and visa verse.  This produces the field lines we see in experimentation or with a compass.

No it wouldn't

Flat Earth General / Re: Questions about The Conspiracy
« on: April 27, 2010, 01:30:38 AM »
That's not a first hand demontration.  It looks to me like the results of a first handed google search.

Perhaps you missed the part where I invited the skeptic to collect their own data.  After all, I might be a member of the conspiracy.

As you can see, there is no overlap between GPS and cellular signals so all one has to do is point a signal analyzer at a cell tower and at a GPS satellite to verify the signal origin and structure.

Clearly the signal analyzer also knows the supposed location of satellites and outputs what you want to see when pointing in the general direction of a 'known' satellite.

I'd love to know how big this conspiracy is if even things like signal analyzers have to be modified to pick up dummy signals.

ctrl + a
ctrl + c
alt + tab (to an open notepad)
ctrl + v
ctrl + h
type "flat" into the first box and "round" into the second.
enter

Congratulations, you've just done a find/replace and completely invalidated your argument.

You forget FES in there

Also:
RE doesn't have antimoons, conspiracy, ice wall and the sun as a spotlight.

Failmore.

Flat Earth Q&A / Re: Antimoon?!?!?!
« on: April 26, 2010, 06:37:34 PM »
I'd love to know what the shadow object is known as in RE science too.
What shadow object?
The antimoon.

Way to misunderstand your own theory.

The "shadow object" and the "antimoon" are two completely different items according to your own theory.

You need a FAQ refresher course.

Fisheye lenses work great for taking 360 spherical panoramas

http://www.footootjes.nl/Panoramas_Ladakh_2008/Panoramas/20080805_Hotel_NightSky_flash.html

There.

inb4 "It's behind the trees"

Really?
They can actually make a fisheye lens to take a 360 degree panorama in one image?

Not one image, but with fisheye lenses, images stitch together perfectly leaving no lines like James pointed out in that other one.

Plus, having viewable in full 360 spherical form makes it impossible that it is edited, because then it wouldn't line up properly and would look very screwed up.

That's the thing.

It's doesn't explain why a whole lot of other phenomena aren't visible, that would be visible with bendy light.

Flat Earth General / Re: What would convince you?

It's better to find disproof of a theory than it is to find proof.

The proof is everywhere, the disproof is the straw that breaks the camels back.
