How do the stars rotate around both the north and south pole on a flat earth? This is easily tested by taking photographs in the northern & southern hemispheres of the night sky.

If the earth is flat, why isn't the crust cooler as you go south? It should radiate heat into space while the northern regions should be better insulated leading to a difference in heat, but there isn't one.

If the earth is a flat disc that accelarates upwards, and the force that creates this accelaration doesn't affect the things on it, why doesn't the atmosphere fall off the side of the earth as the earth is accelarated upwards?

Flat Earth Q&A / Clouds descending to the horizon

I often go hillwalking. Quite often, when I am as high as the base of the clouds (cumulus clouds mostly), I look in every direction and the cloud base is always dropping towards the earth as it goes away into the distance. This would be consistent with a spherical earth, as I'm seeing a line of similar altitude drop away from me in every direction. How could a flat earth produce such as effect?

Note that it can't be perspective, as I'm at the same height as the cloud base.
