I was expecting something more exciting than "they've been here longer than we thought." It's not in dispute that Native Americans came from Asia, probably across the Bering Strait, just when it happened.

It is in dispute, there was a proposed theory of back-migration. That it's the other way around.

Also one argument is that the Natives have always been there

Have always been there? As in it was specifically a different speciation event from what I presume are the New World Monkeys that gave rise to the natives as opposed to them coming out of Africa from the Old World Monkeys like the rest of us? Because if that's the claim, it's outlandish and ridiculous.

Also, many consider IE to be quite integral to XP to such a degree that it cannot be upgraded without breaking XP, and cannot really be uninstalled in any meaningful way.

My first computer was a Commodore 64. I actually have no idea what OS it had. It looked like it was similar to DOS though. Apparently it was called KERNAL.

My first computer was also a Commaodore 64.  The user interface was BASIC (the programming language), not DOS.  So, basically, you would type a program every time you wanted to do something.

I was 6 at the time. I just put my floppy in the drive, and typed whatever run command it was to make my game go, which is what I did when we finally got a Windows 3.1 computer and I wanted to play DOS games. To me they were the same.
Although I did get some kid's magazine "3-2-1 Contact" it was called, where there was the code for games printed in it sometimes. I would enter the commands and I thought it was neat that a game would come out.

I don't think I'd want to upload my brain to a robot if it would be the same. I'd want some improvements, and some memories deleted. I don't care if it would mean I am not the same!

On the other hand... if your consciousness is uploaded to a computer it wouldn't be the same anyway. A computer is not biological. There wouldn't be the same emotional reactions. Perhaps the memories wouldn't matter.

A computer doesn't have to be biological, it just has to have software that emulates biological processes to a sufficient degree that we would all agree there was no difference.

It's not too bad. The sets and costumes are spot on. The script seems accurate enough. Kirk seems spot on without seeming like a William Shatner impersonator. I think Spock could be more spocklike, but he's pretty close. The doctor has his on and off moments. Scotty's dead on, probably because he's the actor's son, and the guy from Mythbusters did an adequate Sulu, but he seemed like he was trying too hard to be Sulu instead of acting. Uhura is way off, I think they just hired her because she could sing. I'll watch more episodes when they become available. Apparently they reached their kickstarter goal, so there should be more episodes coming.

Each "day" is about 60 minutes.  Each "night" is 1-2 minutes.  Basically at the stroke of each hour, the Krampus comes and takes/kills a child.  In the time between, the children vote and kill one of their own.

By this, do you mean that we'll pretty much be done before the day is over, or are we still doing the standard 24 hour period between day/night periods?

Also why are there so many Mustangs around? Is it just Hawaii or what?

Actually, there are a disproportionally large number of Mustangs in Hawaii, but the truck bed is designed to fit standard pieces of construction materials, like 2x4s, and sheets of plywood.

Unless you are converting a Toyota or Nissan to a Pre-runner, you aren't going anywhere near the number of places a properly equipped Jeep is going.

I have an issue with the term "properly equipped." a "properly equipped" Jeep could be outfitted in such a way as to make it into an amphibious vehicle, capable of trips across lakes.

It's ugly, impracticable and expensive. It's probably unreliable as well.

Buy a proper car.

From his description, it seems like he frequently travels unploughed roads in the winter and a taller vehicle is less likely to get high centered.

I don't think not providing the food the kid wants is the same as not providing the child food.
If I make a stir fry for dinner, and the kid wants chocolate cake instead, guess what the kid gets to eat. I fully support LordDave's parents in feeding him the same thing for two days straight until he ate it.
