Cat Theorem:
A cat has nine tails.
Proof:
No cat has eight tails. A cat has one tail more than no cat. Therefore, a cat has nine tails.

no cat has zero tails actually. Some cats have no tail also.
When I first use no cat I am saying there does not exist a cat with 8 tales this would be like saying no one has 8 arms

Salary Theorem
The less you know, the more you make.
Proof:

Postulate 1: Knowledge is Power.
Postulate 2: Time is Money.

As every engineer knows: Power = Work / Time
And since Knowledge = Power and Time = Money
It is therefore true that Knowledge = Work / Money .
Solving for Money, we get:
Money = Work / Knowledge
Thus, as Knowledge approaches zero, Money approaches infinity, regardless of the amount of Work done.

They don't trust me with the lab equipment in the physics lab after an incident so I can't get you the proof.
On another topic why does inflammable and flammable mean the same thing.
However I am willing to give the benefit of the doubt that a theory that the vast majority say is true. And no the vast majority of the world has ever agreed on a religion.

Its the opposite of heavy.
Unfunny troll is unfunny.

Wave of particles I guess.  Made of photons which come in packets but they still have mass.  Not clear but...ya.

If they have mass, where does it come from? Conservation of mass and all that.
They don't have mass they have momentum. And no you don't have to have mass to have momentum.

All Douglas Adams references are old, and that one is also incredibly unoriginal.
Most of those books make more senses then most religions holy books.

When a statistician passes the airport security check, they discover a bomb in his bag. He explains. "Statistics shows that the probability of a bomb being on an airplane is 1/1000. However, the chance that there are two bombs at one plane is 1/1000000. So, I am much safer..."

One evening Rene Descartes went to relax at a local tavern. The tender approached and said, "Ah, good evening Monsieur Descartes! Shall I serve you the usual drink?". Descartes replied, "I think not.", and promptly vanished.

You should definitely read Nineteen Eighty-Four. It'll explain why this is a horribly bad idea far better than I ever could.

I'm pretty sure he's trolling, and almost everyone has read 1984, or at least knows the general point of the book.

A mathematician, scientist, and engineer are each asked: "Suppose we define a horse's tail to be a leg. How many legs does a horse have?" The mathematician answers "5"; the scientist "1"; and the engineer says "But you can't do that!

I would consider myself Non denominational.

Really. So do you believe in transubtantiation, or not? How about confession, what exactly does that mean to you? Apocrypha? Purgatory? Exactly where do you stand on all these issues?
Religion is something between me and god, and whoever else I decide to bring into the picture. So I only go to church to learn more about Gods word. I am anti-Catholic because of the way "the church" controls its members. It's just wrong.

So do you reject the authority of the Pope?
Of course. They never had authority in the first place.

Hawking radiation is caused when a virtual particle forms near the event horizon of a black Hole every no and then one of them falls in and the other one stays out of the black hole. Now it gets a little confusing but as close as I can make out The one that leaves the event horizon has positive mass and the one that goes into it has negative mass lowering the mass of the black hole. It is how black holes will slowly disappear. It is named after Stephen Hawking Who came up with it

Virtual particles don't really exist, they just randomly pop up during infinitesimally small time periods in vacuums.
But they can exist for longer. Without them there would not be Hawking radiation

Many people who have died and been revived have dexcribed an after life. Your friend doesn't prove anything.

Those experiences are merely hulicinations caused by lack of oxygen to the brain. They didn't completely die. Your brain still functions when your heart stops for a bit, if not everyone who had a heart attack would have brain damage.

The famous one of which you speak always makes me laugh. What was it 30 minutes in hell? I bet organized religion was ecstatic to get a hold of that story.
I'm not part of organized religion.
What religion are you then?

Organised religion breeds intolerence, usually because it defines itself against other organised religions. The actual 'creed' itself usually has nothing to do with it. People are using 'christianity' and 'the church' interchangably in this thread, as though they mean and represent the same thing- they don't.
exactly! the organization is the part that Breeds intolerance not necessarily the creed

Look at gay marriage, though.  Christianity isn't used as an excuse to discriminate against gays, (most of the time, at least) it's the main cause of it.

Ah yes. That's why homosexuality was detested even before christianity. I'm sorry, but the hate for it is simply homophobia that piggybacked itself into the bible through the authors. The underlying root is still homophobia.
But it also causes people who regularly wouldn't be against it to hate it because they think god said so.

But it still helps spreed it easier. although it may not be the cause it is a good catalyst
No better a catalyst than any strong leader, or any group. We've watched the Nazis come to power, we've watched whole casts not be allowed to do any work other than sweeping, we've watched people put into slavery because of their color. One less classification just means we have to look for someone else to kick out.

the only caste system I have heard of is the hindue religeon. Also A religeon can gain alot from intolerance Black people can't become white if society is against them however people can convert to  a religeon. The more converts and the higher the percentage of the population they control the more power the orginazation has.
Gains from does not mean causes. In fact they aren't even close.
No but it gives it motivation
Oh wow. So religions are motivated to discriminate. Yet when religions become organized they usually stop any racial discrimination. The book of mormon gives many reasons why we should hate blacks, but the current mormon church accepts blacks. Even though their own holy book proclaims them evil.
That is more thanks to the information age. Before that religion was Used as an excuse to be raciest. Now however orginazations are looked down on for being raciest so if it is big and organized religion it needs to not be raciest in order to get a large following or more power.
Also look at gay marriage The main Reason is to protect the sanctity of Marriage. Look up sanctity in the dictionary. The entire argument to discriminate is based on religion.
Lastly I was referring to Religious discrimination. That is the form that allows a religeon to gain more followers the easiest

So I've heard all these arguments that religion is the root of all evil, but then I noticed something. What if it's not religion. What if it's philosophy. Think about it, if people never had different opinions about things there wouldn't be any disagreements and then there'd never be war.

So I think that governments should work actively to ban all philosophy, and furthermore ban any thinking that goes against the government. This way people wouldn't be able to think up different ideas and when everybody shares the same ideas they wouldn't fight any more.

The problem is that people are stubborn so we'd have to use deadly force to make sure that people don't develop philosophies. For a while sure things would be kind of ugly (people might die here and there for disagreeing with the authority) but eventually everybody would have the same opinions, and without anything to disagree on we could all live in peace forever.

There...solution to all of the world's problems.
isn't that a philosophy that all philosophy are bad.
