Or is he just one big Joker. You can flame if you want, I would prefer it if you answered my question.

Because the experience would remove their belief. maybe.

I wouldn't be suprised if there were. Undoubtedly they would account the curvature of the Earth as a mirage or some sort of mental delusion.

I'm just wondering if anyone actually believes in FE, or is this just one, big joke.

If Earth is constantly moving up then when a car is on a hill shouldn't it stay there? Since it's already on Earth.

No, it wouldn't.

Are you religious, and/or Flat Earthists? I am an atheist, non-religious Round Earthist.

Has any scientist confirmed that a 5ft tall flag can be seen (from any distance) on a uniform body of water (such as, [ahem] the Ocean?) Because, I am just a lazy FE'er and don't want to actually get out and go to the ocean myself.

Flat Earth Q&A / Welcome.

Hello. I have come to notice that any opposition to Flat Earth theory has been rewarded with primitive assaults and pithy replies. I have also noticed a username parading as Saddam Hussein. First, I would like to clarify that Islam does not condone a flat world. In actuality it proclaims the Earth to be flat. Not that I am Muslim, by the way. I am actually an Atheist.
I would also like to know "why" you believe in Flat Earth. The Earth is nothing more than a large, (round) object. If you do not believe this, secure for yourself a device which is able to achieve an acceleration higher than the -9.798 m/s (such as an airplane, helicopter, or baloon.) You will see, that infact the earth appears curved. Infact, if you possess the intelligience, you can even build yourself a spacecraft (though I doubt you will be successful at this endeavour.) Or perhaps you could simply fly a robust aircraft around the world for so many kilometers until your flawed notions reach their dissolution. Furthermore, what little I have read from Samuel Rowbotham has not yet been confirmed by any other scientists.
