You would agree though (Shifter) that the plan for all humans to give their roles to Crouton Valjean, is a good one?

And so it begins, Crouts Valjean will steal no more bread, his power to protect others wasted (unless someone reanimates him? Mmm).
I shall attempt to contact the old bugger, whilst eating a sandwich and respect his counsel.

Oh please, power-hungry, money grabbing mass criminals feeling the weight of years weighing on their conscience, looking back over all and hoping a bit of contrition will get their souls back.

A penguin trying to attack someone and being beaten off would make some sort of kerfuffle, and presumably that would be outside of the intended victims place of sleep and leave gouges, smoke burns and feathers, I think the narrative should reflect that.

I for one think that the spectacle of a duck fighting a chicken has unfortunate Victorian connotations, as such [I vote to cancel DD's vote], in doing so I expect DD to be removed from any retributions, I do this with no obligations anticipated as I have in games past done terrible things to DD.

While she was minded to impale frenchies hand to the table just for the fun of watching him scream, and the cone headed freak with the menagerie was giving her the creeps she could feel the hidden power in this group, nebulous and hard to pinpoint, it made sense to wait.
Shifter had made a macabre sculpture with the dead guys remains, the holes in the ozone layer down there has been wreaking havoc on Aussie mentality for years now, the up side being we might regain the Ashes as they succumbed to the sun and forget the rules.
Night would fall soon, things were about to get interesting.

Edit; speling.

Jura leant back in the chair and let the others speak, they knew her but she was still “outsider”, her accent (she had accentuated her Scottish burr to not sound English) and her BMI of 19.5 set her apart, her refusal to own guns had initially met with hostility until she adopted the habit of carrying an Arkansas Toothpick, this was a source of amusement until she had stuck some red-neck with wandering hands, foot to the bar floor when he just wouldn’t take no for an answer.

Now bigger things had come up, and she was both exited and scared.

The Moon priestess had said to follow her instinct in her quest for answers, and to wait where the signs seemed right, five years ago on the banks of Lake Levon under the hunters moon she had seen the spectral shapes swimming beneath the waters, and every fibre in her body had sung, now that song was back.

To say they were a mixed bunch was understating it, Mongo for sure was sporting an extra chromosome, Boydster with his weird pets wasn’t far behind. The Old Valjean character kept breaking into song and she was sure he’d stolen her baguette earlier, DD was a foppish FE conspirator with a bad rep’ for picking the wrong side. Speaking of bad reputations, the notorious SCG had materialised, busting moves, teardrop tats and disrespecting, one to be watched.
A guy called Bullwinkle was also present, you don’t get much uglier, looks like a moose, smells like a moose, probably a moose.
The celebrated detective Janevert, she’d been dynamite in her time but had gone AWOL for a while missing presumed penguin, now she was back acting like nothing was wrong, not sure what to think there, and the Aussie, black-belt foot-kicker from the outback, Ocker disciple of Rod Blue from Woolloomooloo, vest top and tinny in hand.
No obvious clues, so who wasn’t here?

“Texas? I didn’t know we even had people in Texas, what in hells blistered tits are were-penguins doing in Texas? No don’t tell me, the fucking idiots at Johnson Space couldn’t keep the gates closed or some animal rights wallah off his noggin on frog juice and Free Willy repeats, broke in while the guard was being jacked off by some pneumatic titted cheerleader who wanted to see the rockets, and sprung one, am I right?  Well I hope it ripped his bleeding heart right out in front of his face”

“Apparently” the adjutant arched an eyebrow as he read the printout, largely ignoring the tirade, “It’s a re-infestation, the site, a burial of two some 25 years ago, the girl, our girl has been there about 5yrs, fact finder gone a bit native, actually she suspects re-animation, graves opened from the inside.”

“After 25yrs?  Shitting hell” The Master-at-arms thrust his hand out for the message, “We told those sodding space monkeys not to deal with the Houngans, manning space craft with Zombies, fucking idiots, just because Macky-D pulled it off on their tills for a few years. This girl?” His finger stabbed the report, “Any damned good?”

“Untested in combat, good scores in practice mind, high initiative, soon find out. Couldn’t reach her for extraction for a few days anyway, neophyte priestess named after a former casualty as it happens. Landgrave says monitor for the time being, scramble abstraction US as a precaution”

“Do it, make sure they’re bloody competent, no retarded locals, count their fingers and toes if you must, try and find some Mexicans if you can, or those Comanche’s, far better. You do not want to be the John that has to tell a Sister of Morrigan that you have one of her favoured in a bag, chop chop”.

lost it in the ruins of Troy, it came back blunt. looking for some Orca oil (responsibly sourced) to re-temper it in, as they are the natural enemies of penguins

Inti’ I believe this is just a game, I like playing it.

I also believe that the game where you narrated was probably the most enjoyable I have been in, and I believe it was BHS/CFC that fucked that, not your good self.

In the game where you had a meltdown and the T word came in, was not so much fun, I truly believe that a (tactically) questionable move on Boydsters part was misinterpreted as a cheat, when it was not , the resultant exchange of insults made no-one look good and I would hope that it never happens again.

But no matter who did what or said to whom, it's the past.

I think you should see this as a challenge, play this as a game of life, you don’t have to like all the rules or the people you meet but it is a more rewarding experience if you don’t let them get to you, rise above that and enjoy it.

And at the end?

Our revels now are ended. These our actors,
As I foretold you, were all spirits and
Are melted into air, into thin air:
And, like the baseless fabric of this vision,
The cloud-capp'd towers, the gorgeous palaces,
The solemn temples, the great globe itself,
Ye all which it inherit, shall dissolve
And, like this insubstantial pageant faded,
Leave not a rack behind. We are such stuff
As dreams are made on, and our little life
Is rounded with a sleep.

I'd PM a load of people and say they have been drafted, just to see if you can get them here, some people just need to feel wanted.

You did! Just when I needed sage advice from my axe, you would have probably councelled me not to take the gunfight option rather than just kill the revealed penguin, and little Jura would still be alive.

So sad.

I am worried about him. I don't interact with him off the forum, so I don't know any other way to find out if he's alright.

He hasn't been on the other site since September 16th either.

Proposal for low number count.

Flat Earth Draft;
This is war people, in desperate times desperate measures are enacted, no longer can the many rely on the few to keep them safe at night, from this point forward GM’s are given the absolute right to draft members, said members will be informed by PM that they are conscripted and be expected to learn the rules. uniforms and any sundries deemed necessary are to be provided by the drafted, any non-compliant member who fails to report for duty is renamed Asshat for the duration of the game.

I would just like to say that a) Jura is the best,

Ahh, warm feelings.

A few suggestions, recruit a few more players, not so easy but I think necessary, threaten to bam people that come here regularly and won’t play, Jimmy the Crab, lamaface, Rab’ that guy called John that sometimes comes here, where are you? Make Orospu play, so I can kill him.

Trash talk is fine, even necessary but I think the games master should punish genuine insults (see Bully), the whore & turd calling destroyed that game, are we adults? If you prick us, do we not bleed?

Get involved more, I have problems Friday to Saturday, so I try to make up for it other times, I know I got on Gaydafi’s case a bit (kill her), but without comments, interaction, input in general, all we have is a list of names and voting.

Better caterers, all my characters (those few that return) are malnourished and spotty.

And speaking of the muddy fields of Agincourt - what a magnificent and magnificently pointless victory that was!  Pour les Anglais!

Led (seeing as I am accused of being a pedant) by Henry V, a Lancastrian

Quote
It wasn’t until we butchered the bastard Richard at Bosworth Field that England could start the renaissance of Englishness, reclaim our breakfast from croissants (Air disguised as pastry), start washing ourselves again, although you lot still haven’t got the hang of that yet, and set about the real enemy, the catholics.

This may be true.  But fuck the royals and fuck the papists.  This has been pretty much the attitude of 'ullians throughout the centuries - a healthy ambivalence to whoever is in power.

Or it's just your inability to pick a winner, whereas we kill your king and stick him under a carpark for 300 yrs, dig him back up when everybody is getting all gooey about the past, due to a fading sense of hope for the future and coerce his ghost into helping us win the premiership by threatening to send him back up north, where he was afraid his bones would have been made into soup by John Prescott.

The Plantagenets were bloody French, who led us into the 100yrs war with more French over the right to rule France and lost!

We shouldn’t be fighting as it looks bad in front of all these other nations, but more importantly as Yorkists, you would get your butts kicked (again).
I know it is a bone of contention that the last of the line, is in our cathedral, but you should have looked after him better, and if you want to see how the old fellow is doing, you can come down  and pay to have a look, lots of people do, and we are making a mint.

The NASA team were about to win we had formulated the winning attack, when Pez finally finished his epic sleep he would have administered the killing blow, go NASA.
