It is advised that all Zetetics and free-thinking men and women avoid the septic moon tonight.

So if you are not "Zetetic and/or free-thinking" are you immune? I hope so as I was out there looking at it, and Jupiter, and I am pretty sure I am neither.

The Lounge / Re: Let's talk about aliens
« on: June 14, 2018, 06:05:28 AM »
The premise that aliens would want to come to our planet to harvest its resources is beyond absurd. There are a lot more places to obtain those resources(asteroid belts, Europa) than to come to this backwater planet.

True for raw materials (the Elements) but for organic compounds we would be a cornucopia. Proteins alone, using the 20 or so amino-acids made by life here and using the mass of the earth (If we took it as composed purely of hydrogen, oxygen, nitrogen, carbon and sulphur.) isn’t enough to make just one molecule of each of the possible proteins 41 amino acids long.
41 amino acids is a very small protein. Just about every protein of biological interest is much larger. The biggest is a muscle protein called titin which has 27,000-33,000 amino acids.

These proteins are the building blocks of life, your structure, metabolic pathways, enzymes, immune system even poisons that kill you. The almost incalculable number of potential configurations mean that to identify those that are viable even for the most advanced aliens would still be a needle in a haystack problem, but here, they grow in abundance, down pathways different to anywhere else, a profusion of potential drugs, catalysers and weapons to be harvested.

BUT!  Unfortunately for an alien, this very variability of function is its own protection.
Captain Kirk, rocks up to a planet same size as earth same oxygen, covered in life (nothing with nukes though’) and beams down. His first breath will probably kill him, a single breath on earth contains thousands of the 100’s of thousands of bacteria, virus and fungi that float freely in our atmosphere, these we have evolved along side and for the most part we get by.

When Europe invaded the Americas, we conquered all, partly we had superior weapons and John Wayne, but the most effective aid was disease, there were between 25-30 million in Mexico when Cortez arrived, 50 years later there were no more than 3million, most (90+%) died from smallpox, these people shared the same air and ancestors as Cortez, something no alien does.
Now a disease per-se would probably be the least of their worries as these have evolved alongside the organisms that they harm, so have specific methods of attack, the bacteria and fungi are just looking for somewhere moist, warm and rich in food to spread, with no natural protection they would die horribly, they know this, they send robots, like me.

I am a bona-fide peripatetic UN sanctioned user name selector verification engineer, and this place gets my endorsement, it’s the beans, the “dogs bollocks” * it is rigorous fair and has no obvious Russian involvement.

The self-selection of user-names should only be done by those of sufficient self-awareness and baseline intelligence, without which the name chooser exposes themselves to ridicule, unwarranted abuse, condescension and worse of all, disregardation (This is a word spellcheck, fuck off).
All the above applies equally to the attendant avatar, and as per guidelines these people supply both, using the inherent beauty of committee thereby overriding weakness of the individual view, subsumed as it should be by the communist collective.

I suggest “Utpin the glorious” or maybe “Watched by Ducks”

Just wondered really, I know I am in freak-land, I didn’t know to what extent the aberration extended, a worship of JROA would hold worrying connotations, thankfully it doesn’t seem to be the case.

Rab, the colourful hatted figure is not British, but a batesian-mimic that had fled the antipodes to the orange republic believing it was about become a fascist state, when this did not occur he has been seen in various guises, apparently trying quintessential English ones in the forlorn hope that a good showing at the world cup and an unfavourable exit from Europe would push this Sceptred Isle into the mechanical right-wing embrace of the escaped replicant, Rees Mogg.

Consequently, he has been seen as a Beefeater, a Pearly King, a Teletubby and is rumoured to be ready to bid for Megan’s dress in the inevitable charity sell off.

Royalty aren’t real people, they are vat bred, farm reared tourist magnets of mainly German/Greek derivation, they largely get their fashion cues from very large paintings adorning the walls of their cages and manga comics, their head-gear immediately alerts the local populace that they are loose if they stage a break-out, so they can be lured back with Pimm’s and the aroma of saddle soap.
Ascot is where they are allowed to mingle with real people to reinforce their sense of privilege, the hat extravaganza, a gentle mocking of their ways.

Real Brit’s wear cloth caps or handkerchiefs with knots in the corners.

I am the future agent for the eventual destruction of both sites, having presided at John & Tom’s wedding, the Alt’ to Megan and carrot top’s little do, as such I need to come here periodically to menace John to keep up the payments, and incidentally to steal hats.

I have a fine array of titfers, few of which I get to wear out as my partner says I look like I am waiting for the sunshine bus, a comment she can make with impunity as she has dedicated her life to the mentally impaired, a community that holds (gawd bless ‘em), the above is black humour rather than insult.

Having said that, I will not be stealing cetacean inspired baseball caps as they wouldn’t make it past the Ascot turnstiles, we have some decorum, what? Tally-ho! Did I tell you I invented rice?

Why would I want to? As far as I can remember, it was a whirlwind of debauchery and music interspersed with bouts of recovery and the tremors. I have been told (other site) that there is a place in hell set aside for me, I’m guessing it’s some kind of throne.

The beautiful Icelandic pixies’ collaboration with the mighty Jah Wobble.

The Lounge / Re: Mr. Davis, tear down this wall!
« on: November 03, 2017, 08:26:54 AM »

Okay, to those who care (and you should) I’m back off to the sanctuary site now as the discussions are officially terminated, Parse has released the evil genie (EJ) to do his bidding. Some will see this as an insult, but that would be unfair, Parse tries to join in with humour every now and then, but doesn’t fully understand the concept, he will regret his decision as he (EJ) is a fucking pest but it’s kinda cute when the Nexus 6’s at the top, show a bit of humanity.

It will be nice not have to not log on 2 or 3 times to get in and navigating pages at dial-up speeds was comical in a sentimental kind of way, until it was not. Going back to the slickness and speed of the A-site has its downsides, less people, I haven’t got to know anyone as such but there seems to be a few amusing and worthwhile individuals, as well as Inti’, and it can seem a little sterile over there.

Come over and visit, we may yet be able to get a compromise if you all seem to want a better run site, worth a try.

The Lounge / Re: Why are we accusing TFE society as controlled opposition
« on: November 02, 2017, 03:10:24 AM »

FYI, the globist on the right is British (prof Brian Cox) so MI6/5 must be in the running as well.

But Inti’ is right for once, FEers without exception are a bunch of puglies, get them all in a room and it would look like a vagrant’s convention/freak show audition, whereas my contemporaries and I glow with both inner beauty, and exterior elegance.
Is there perhaps a correlation between poor self-image, low self-esteem, and alienation, paranoia and conspiracy theory, could the narcissistic payback of being the ones to see beyond the veil, kicking the traces of conventionality in the faces of their beautiful tormentors, be the real reason we see these unfortunates clinging madly to such fatuous fallacies?

In which case, argument is futile (like we didn’t know), what the REers must do, is hug an ugly person, only by integrating the disaffected can we rid the world of this nonsense and in doing so improve the lives of those less fortunate.
Forget perspective and the horizon, befriend them.

Hi Inti’, love your hair.

Good work Crouton, a pincer movement of reason and good old fashioned irrationality, we may need more troops.

If the ghost of Thork is involved then so is the top brass over there, they murdered him under the cover of a trip to the distilleries of Scotland as I prophesied, they have his soul in an empty bottle of  Dalmore King Alexander III, enraged and intoxicated.

If it's Demons then the finger points to Davis, my investigations lead me to believe he conspires with the necromantic bronze head of Doctor Mirabilis, tread carefully, he favours gunpowder.

Reverse vampires are a whole different ball game, those chlorophyll sucking fuckers are tough, we'll need heat and lots of it, luckily I'm an engineer, I'll make some thermic-lances, just in case while you continue your investigations, good luck.

So, the merger popped up again like herpes in a nunnery, raged a while and was promptly sabotaged or put out of its misery by the intervention of flag waving Indonesian hackers, or was it?!! (dun dun der!).

Someone is being a bad little Hector. Let’s look at the (usual) suspects;

Starting with TFES, Them over there. More specifically those members who are capable and evil enough to commit this crime. Those that point the finger (usually while you’re not looking and then with a “not me, you misunderstood” rejoinder if challenged), favour pizza-boy or Parse’ as they are clearly the most evil, vile and degenerate, out of a pretty despicable and malevolent bunch.

Why? Well obviously, as intrinsically malicious criminal types, they can’t help themselves, also they want to maintain hold of their tiny empire at all costs and would potentially lose their big fish small pond status in the amalgam.

Other reasons could be, euthanasia, the debate was fatally contaminated from the outset by its history, why watch it crawl painfully across the floor again, just butcher the damn thing and have done.

Impish humour, (I know, a long shot), John boy had been bigging himself up as computer wizard and then bam! You were saying John?

Then there is John boy himself, he hates the movers and shakers there, traitors who are responsible for the split, usurpers who he fears seek to supplant him, savants who make his site look like 5yr olds meccano project, so he waits until someone mentions his security issues and then calls in a favour, and it’s “well they are at it again” game over, I’m still the king of the castle.

Let’s not rule out the Indonesian collective, a group of hackers who think it hilarious to turn up every now and then and prove that the flat earther’s security is as backward as their beliefs, maybe, but there are hints (from John) that these attacks have some sort of pattern linked to known members, a relatedness that he has refused to illuminate, hinting that he has unleashed ninjas to hunt down the perpetrators and all will be revealed, time will tell.

An-other, a shadowy Keyser Soze figure, pulling strings, hatching plots, hiding in full view.
Now Keyser was a Turkish crime lord of mythical savagery, so who fits that bill?

No! I will not have you accusing Inti’, it couldn’t be him as the last bout of attacks coincided with his breakdown and eviction from there and temporary expulsion from here, so what possible motive could he have had, whilst this time he is the very voice of reason, and nothing has ruffled his feathers lately, in any case, it can’t have been him as he told us he wouldn’t have access to a computer all weekend. So, forget that, okay.

As to other denizens of the B site, they all seem perfectly sane (straight face). But I don’t come here much so I will leave it to others to ponder that.

NASA! In all this, nobody mentioned NASA. Done.

We may never know, bad luck, coincidental attack, spiteful sabotage or coordinated assault. What is clear is, the corpse is in the water and beginning to smell, what is also clear is, that any attempt at a lasting merger of paranoid conspiracy theorists will always be a source of unbridled amusement, I think we should try again in 4 months

The Lounge / Re: Mr. Davis, tear down this wall!

I am doing my best to represent the interests of everyone on our forum. If you think I can do that better, I welcome your input in our thread on the subject.

Nope you are doing the best you can under the circumstances Pars’, but this is lounge talk where I function better, upper Fora is a bit stultifying, brings out my tourette’s especially if “Pete Tsar” starts listing things (damn, bloody bugger fuck) sorry.

What I would say to both sides is, if you want it to happen it can, if you are just going through the motions with your eye out for a windmill, you can tilt at (John?), so you can proclaim, “I tried, it was them”, grow up, save everybody from the reams of humourless faux diplomatic posturing and leave things be.
(reams of humourless faux diplomatic posturing! that only applies if you are not committed, okay, if you are, you are finely crafted wordsmiths at the top of your game.)

So, as official cultural attaché, I move that, as Inti’ was in meltdown due to sustained  harassment (as I suspected and Crouton has confirmed), that he be given another chance should miracles happen and the Morlocks join with the Eloi That would remove a major stumbling block making it one all.

Edit; Inti’ has appeared as I wrote this, Hi Inti’!
I just read what he put, and I totally agree, so that’s that settled.

Well thank you, doom and gloom.
Admittedly reading the discussions betwixt the two factions is like watching the universe die, so our remit should be to build bridges and weave the two parties together, forget the past and forge a new future, one beautiful asylum where all the inmates play together.

Jroa! really?
