A couple of videos you may be interested in.  You have to watch them in order because the first one explains the second one.

Mike

Video is not original.

Video is edited.

Video is just 17 minutes.

There is nothing proved. It has to be 17 hours, not 17 minutes! This video has not more value than a shit.

Exactly as expected, Inky denies evidence presented to him. He can't do anything else or he will have to admit that the earth isn't flat.

I wonder when Jimster began to support FE?
He doesn't!  Ever heard of sarcasm :o?

You know everything about Danang is upside down. Kinda like he has been permanently hit by Hirako Shinji's shikai.

I am yet to come across a single flat earth argument that is truly interesting. At beet, it is something I haven't learnt the answer to. More likely, it's an outright lie.

I also personally have issues with people who say "there are fine arguments on both sides" to paraphrase a president. That is just buying into conspiracy theories. And while there are many conspiracies in this fine planet of ours, the shape of the earth and the accumulated knowledge of all history is not one of them.

Well he has given a point that resonates with him (pun intended). Just like Rab and many others do here.

What is telling in all of this is that nothing seems to have changed in the FAQ despite all the errors being repeatedly pointed out.

65
Well, they will have to explain why all observations agree with a spherical earth.

This also goes for anyone who wants to claim the earth is flat.

Because we simply "don't accept what we are told" . We follow the proofs.

66
Deny, deny and deny some more.

Then insults. Lots of insults.

Then claims he isn't insulting the "put insult here" who claims he is being insulting.

Then a few more denials.

That's typical Intikam

Flat Earth General / Re: Can someone show me proof if the Earth is flat?
« on: February 25, 2019, 11:44:21 PM »
So no proof of the flat earth. Just some figures you can't wrap your head around. "I can't believe it so it cannot be true"

68
You are such a dishonest liar

Dishonest Liar; is that a double negative, meeting that he is telling the truth?

That post is a year old and "dishonest" is an adjective, describing "liar," which is a noun, so they should agree like they do. So on all counts, no. Simba is not likely to respond, and even if he (or she) did, it's grammatically correct so what exactly is your goal here?

How do you know simba is not likely to respond, did you ban him? If you banned him so what is your problem with believers?

In one hand, you are blocking Simba to reply. On the other hand, you allow rabinoz and other angry globularists to blame him. Are you all management team serving to rabinoz?

I didn't ban Simba. You can look at his last login and post history just as well as I can. I'm the one saying it's dishonest to go back and drag up an old thread and reply to someone who isn't likely to even notice. Rab is the one trying to defend the butchering of the English language, seemingly because Mouser is RE. I can't fix that. One of them doesn't understand English, the other of Australian. I can only do so much.

Missinformation.  8) You can ban, or suggest admins to ban rabinoz till infinitive and prevent him update the old issues and prevent him from blaming the authors don't seem around.

Why should one person be banned for resurecting an old thread while you spend your time insulting people on this forum and calling others satan, murderers and the like?

Either Sandy knows what he has is bunk and so spends all his time spamming this forum trying to convince others he isn't as dumb as he writes.

Or he has tried to publish all his bunk and got shot down and so spends all his time spamming this forum trying to convince others he isn't as dumb as he writes.

Flat Earth General / Southern hemisphere flights
« on: February 20, 2019, 08:09:23 PM »
YouTube's Wolfie6020 offered to fly any prominent flat earther who would accept to Sydney and from there to Johannesburg or Santiago to confirm Southern Hemisphere flights work just as predicted by the globe abd do not work on a flat earth. Mark Sargent, Jeranism, the crew at Globebusters, all refused to take him in his offer.

2 YouTube flat earth debunkers however did take the flights and a video analysis of Greater Sapien's video and GPS logs for the Sydney to Johannesburg flight is presented here.

What is the flat earth explanation for this? Denial? A claim that there is no model? Or that there is a model that allows for this? Or will this data be ignored like Bob Knodel and his LRG?

Flat Earth General / Re: Bob Knodel and the laser ring gyroscope
« on: February 19, 2019, 03:14:42 AM »
I think they ecpected an inconclusive result. One they could twist into a flat earth win.

Just like Antonio Subirats. He proposed an experiment using a tube to look at the horizon from one end. He said if looking through the other end one sees the horizon again, then the earth would be flat. If one sees the sky above the horizon, the earth must be a globe. Low and behold, Critical Think does said experiment and it conforms to a globe. Antonio subirats has shifted the goal posts so much in trying to explain away the results that he is no longer in the same ball park as when he started.

Flat earthers look only for things that will confirm their bias and seem to think if they say it enough, everyone else would believe like they do and then maybe the earth would somehow conform to their wishes. Like Sandy up there. Truth isn't the aim. Confirmation of their belief is.

Fellow cannot get his head out of that cloud he has stuck it in.

No matter what Sandy wants to insinuate with his long diet of copypasta, ring laser gyroscopes still work in all inertia guidance systems they are used in. They still show the orientarion of the air craft with respect to the earth.

So either Sandy is spouting a heap great big  bowl of bovine excrement, or RLGs have been lied to by thu conspiraceh into believeing they can measure orientation with regards to the earth.

Personally, I go with the first one.

The one that detects the earth spinning at 15 degrees an hour.

Is there a flat earth model that allows for a rotating earth?

77
Flat Earth General / Bob Knodel and the laser ring gyroscope
« on: February 15, 2019, 06:41:00 PM »
Bob Knodel is a famous (?) Youtube flat earther who tried an experiment to prove the earth was fixed - non rotating. He obtained a UD$20,000 laser ring gyroscope, an extremely accurate device, to show that the earth was not spinning. The gyroscope registered a 15 degree per hour drift.

Does this prove a rotating earth? Or like Bob Knodel said, did it measure the "heavenly energies"?

If the gyroscope did measure a 15 degree per hour rotating earth, can this be possible still with a flat earth and local sun-moon circling system?

Edit: I see someone has already started a thread with the same information.

Flat Earth General / The Challanger Disaster
« on: January 28, 2019, 02:06:34 AM »
One of the more important points of globe deniers is the refutation of the Challanger disaster. Since space is fake, space travel is fake and the Challanger never exploded with a crew on board because the Space Shuttle is fake or flies with a helium balloon or something along those lines. There are those who claim the crew are still alive and have posted all sorts to back that claim.

For Lt. Gen. Richard "Rich" Scobee, losing his father in the explosion of the space shuttle Challenger was a personal tragedy he and the families of other members of the crew have shared with the nation for 33 years.

This article is about the family of Shuttle Commander Dick Scobee who truthers claim to be the living CEO of a company called Cows and Trees.

https://edition-m.cnn.com/2019/01/27/us/space-shuttle-challenger-anniversary-scobee-profile/index.html?r=https%3A%2F%2Fnews.google.com%2F

I would like to know what globe deniers on this forum think.

I was about to open a thread on the lunar eclipse myself. Thanks for putting this up.

As for Intikam who seems to see Lunar eclipses in Istanbul on a regular basis, I hope he sees the shadow creep up on the moon and creep out steadily on every occasion in which NASA have used "Statistics" or whatever to regularly give Istanbul a blood moon eclipse.

My point was going to be for those who believe in a self-illuminating moon. How does the red light advance slowly to cover the moon's white light and just as slowly leave the moon on the same night? Moonshramp with indigestion? Or some sort of mating ritual?

Flat Earth Debate / Re: Intercontinental ballistic missile
« on: January 04, 2019, 08:11:52 AM »

It boggles the mind that you believe the engine exhaust exerts zero force on the rocket...boggles the fuckiní mind.

Itís only ridiculous to you because you donít know what youíre talking about.  Itís not just burning rocket fuel.    If want you want to know why, look up venturies and nozzles for yourself because Iím tired of explaining shit to people who blindly dismiss what they donít understand and have never tested.

IIUC, here's a synopsis of your premise of how denpressure effects vertical acceleration of a rocket.

- The density of the atmosphere (molecule stacking or however you define it) decreases with altitude.
- The force required for a rocket to ascend through the less dense atmosphere decreases but there is also a corresponding decrease of the reaction force due to thrust on the same less dense atmosphere.
- Therefore, the constant thrust, decreasing mass, and change in density during vertical ascent are always balanced so acceleration is exactly zero.

There are a few major problems with this reasoning.  The claim that a rocket can't accelerate must be subject to the following:

1. The effects of density versus altitude must be quantified.
2. Variables within the system must be accounted for:
    a. The magnitude of thrust can vary from rocket to rocket.
    b. e.g. Two identical model rockets can have engines with identical size and weight but different thrust values.
    c. The rate at which fuel, and thus the corresponding decrease in mass, varies from engine to engine.
    d. Atmospheric pressure and density versus altitude is not linear.
    e. In taller rockets the density the rocket is pushing into and against may not be equal.
    f. Thrust to weight ratio varies from rocket to rocket

In summary:

1. The effect of denpressure vs altitude is not quantified.
2. The change in density of the atmosphere vs altitude is non-linear.
3. The magnitude of thrust and thrust to weight ratio varies between rockets.
4. The rate of change of the mass varies between rockets.

Working entirely within the denpressure model and considering the variables outlined above, at a minimum the following outcomes are possible:

1. If the magnitude of thrust and fuel consumption are balanced by the change in atmospheric density, it is possible for a rocket to have zero acceleration during vertical ascent.

2. If the magnitude of thrust and fuel consumption are not balanced by the change in atmospheric density is possible for a rocket to have a constant or a decreasing acceleration during ascent.

If we take all the variables into account and working within denpressure, it is possible to have zero vertical acceleration or a constant/variable vertical acceleration throughout ascent.  And, if Iím honest about it, these variables also imply that at some point in its ascent it should be possible for density to overcome thrust/fuel consumption and the rocket will decelerate (negative or downward acceleration) to the point where the rocket reaches equilibrium and not climb or fall until thrust is cutoff or increased.

Tthe point is that without quantifying denpressure and accounting for the variables between rockets, you canít definitively say what the effect on the vertical acceleration will be.  A zero, a positive, or a negative acceleration should all be possible but thereís no way to know.

Mike
At least you're taking notice. I commend you for that.
Just one thing thought and it is nit picking but I feel I must do it. It this piece what you said: 2. If the magnitude of thrust and fuel consumption are not balanced by the change in atmospheric density is possible for a rocket to have a constant or a decreasing acceleration during ascent.

You can't have a decreasing acceleration. You can have a decreasing speed.

Just nitpicking that's all and nothing more.

Quoted to preserve the stupidity.

A Bugatti Chiron does 0-60 in 2.5 seconds. Do you think it does 200 to 260 in 2.5 seconds?
No. Decreaseing acceleration.

Ho Lee Fuk
That's Scepti for you.

Claims a rate of change cannot be constant.
Claims acceleration can not be reduced.
Now claims a propeller and rocket engine work on the same principles

And still claims to understand science?

This is by far the dumbest thing Inty has said in a very very long list of extremely dumb things.

Have any Aussies complained about missing family and friends that were supposed to have travelled from Sydney to Santiago? With the regularity of daily flights, wouldn't that have been a big thing? Heck you would have heard the news under your flat rock!

If he had bothered to "research" this story like they always claim, he would have easily seen that amongst pther things, Mr O'brady had also climbed mount Everest.

Flat Earth General / Living in Antarctica
« on: December 27, 2018, 10:03:47 PM »
I read an article this morning on an American being the first to cross the Antarctic continent alone and unaided. Took him 54 days without getting resupplied.

 https://www.pulse.com.gh/bi/sports/a-33-year-old-american-just-became-the-first-person-to-cross-antarctica-alone-and/7c6x2l2

The report also indicates a Briton trying the same feat but will apparently take longer. About 70 days.

It got me thinking. With the flat earth belief that that Antarctica is not a continent but rather a wall around the circumference of the flat earth, what is the flat earth opinion of those who work in any of the numerous scientific bases in Antarctica?

And I am not talking about those who subscribe to the dual pole models of the flat earth. They are obviously in the minority of flat earth thinking.

Flat Earth Debate / Re: Holographic universe(round sky squared land)
« on: December 27, 2018, 10:49:32 AM »
This is possible because the sun is a hologram.
All celestial bodies are holograms.

A hologram is a recording  of the interference pattern of two or more coherent light waves on, for example, a piece of film.  The piece of film itself is the hologram. When that piece of film is subsequently illuminated properly, and one looks at the film, it appears as if one is looking "through" the film, seeing a three-dimensional image of what was originally the source of the the light waves.

It's just an image. That original light source is not there. It's no different than someone looking at a picture of you. It's just an image of you. It's not you. You are not there.

The sun is not a hologram.
It is a matter of substance and image.
What is real is a metaphysical matter.

But what I'm saying is not real, but the sun that looks like it.
It's the sun that we sense.
We see the sun, just like we see hologram patterns.
And it is a hologram for the individual.
So I mean it 'Holographic multiverse'.

Make that "magical mumbo jumbo"

That's the only way your idea works

Flat Earth General / Re: Who Guards the Edge
« on: December 10, 2018, 12:49:43 PM »
so has been guarded by weather conditions again.
So could be defeated by wearing a nice warm coat?

If you want to get the conditions so you have to stay a freezed place under -100 santigrad selsius. If we want to compare it so deep freezes are between -18 to -23 santigrad and freezes almost everything. In Yakutsk, the coldest place in center hemicircle has mostly about -55 degrees in winter; if anyone stays a minute outside with wearing a nice warm coat but freezes in a minute. You need to test -110 degree to get what goes on deep sides of Antarctica.

We are not talking about going deep into Antarctica. Question is "who guards the edge?" If temperatures of -100 degrees in Antarctica,  definitely not that cold at the edges. Afterall the southernmost parts if South America and South Africa are not that far away from the edge. So anyone can get there if only the weather guards it and sail along the edge to se if you can do a left turn around Antarctica or if it is a coastline of over 60,000 km.

But if there are actual guardes and or trained commando penguins, well, that's a different thing entirely.
