I fail to understand your coin-in-honey example though. The coin would eventually sink with the edge first, because A the coin is "heavier" than the honey, and B the edge first would pose the least resistance.

If FE on DE would work like a boat floating on water, that would be stable.

0.1 arc second of a whole turn = 1 / 12 960 000 ?

With that kind of odds, something must have set the tilt exactly right from the beginning, and/or realigning it when needed. There must be some sort of balancing mechanism?

Well, what do you believe could be the maximum tilt of Earth, before we would feel it, being pulled sideways, water moving (more than tides), and so on? Or even measure it with fex a water level pointed to horizons.

Tilt relative to direction of UA, in degrees starting from 0 as straight "upwards".

Really RET needs to get together and come up with a common theme for what causes gravity.  Some say mass, some say bend in space/time, some say rotation causes it, some say the magnetic field, other its an unproven thing called gravitrons.  Call me when RE is united.

I would say RE is quite united in the belief that Earth rotates..

I dont know whats hard to understand with my illustration. Its really simple, its simple because ive made it.

Put a ball on a plate, accelerate the plate towards the ball, ball stick to plate. If youre the ball you feel pushed towards the plate.
Rotate the plate, ball rolls of the plate. If youre the ball, you feel dragged out the edge.

UA pushes up from below.

*sigh* I know that. It accelerates earth upwards, the resulting felt force on the guy in the illustration is down.

Gravity (if FE'ers admit that it exists) pulls inwards (and isn't caused by rotation).

The arrows points inwards.
And some think its caused by rotation.

Cenripetal force is inwards (in order to maintain circular motion).

Once again, ive illustrated the force acting on "you and me", the guy in the illustration.

Interresting. How would the laser meassure?

In RET, they would measure a geodesic in spacetime. In FET with the EA, they would trace out a parabolic path in space. I am not certain what geometric shape this would correspond to in spacetime.

EA? Earth Accelerator?
Speaking of which, does this affect time as well?

Or

Take two mirrors. Bounce a laser between them, and while the lasers on, adjust one mirror so the laser bounces back and forth in one place. Then, measure the distance between the edges of the mirrors to see if they are aligned or not. That could also be measured with laser, even if its bent its bent equal at both edges.

Basically the same but from the other way around.. Less error?

Kind of my idea in the thread about the wire and the trees.. Although its dangerous proposing someting, then you have to go out and actually perform the expirement. So, just do it(tm)!

I dont think this one is doable though, not with hobby equipment and layman knowledge. The errors would be to great because the bending is quite modest compared to the scale of the apparatus.

Maybe this one could be simplified even further though?

So how is the bent light theory (BLT hehe) going? How many FE-followers?

I just wanted to remind everyone that if you do believe in BLT, then you also admit that earth looks like a sphere. So if you support BLT, which I think is a great theory btw, be careful with your basic arguments like "earth looks flat, therefore its probably flat".

The earth looks like a plane so therefore it's a plane by pretense. The burden is on you to prove that it is actually a globe. You're the one making the claim beyond human experience here.

According to all FE'ers who put their faith in the bent-light-theory, earth does look like a sphere. Even you seem to support that theory Tom:

Some say that the bottom of the FE shields the top of the FE from the effects of the DE/UA.  Apparently you believe that at lest some of the DE/UA completely penetrates the FE.  Tell me, if enough of the DE/UA penetrates the FE to affect the path of light, why is nothing else affected by that same DE/UA.

According to the theory, as I understood it, is that DE affects matter and radiation differently.

That experiment cannot prove that it is the light bending up, because you would get the same results if the surface of the earth was curved.

But it's not curved. I don't see any reason to assume that the entire earth is curving when clearly it's only a few photons which are doing the curving.
