If Truth Social is worth ten billion then just think of how much the FES is worth!  It has to be in the ballpark.  I'm pretty sure we didn't lose 50 million last year.

There's no way this isn't a massive fraud that's going to land a bunch of people in prison.

Russian apartment bombing part deux.

The US says it was ISIS.  I'm sure Russia thinks it was Ukraine.

Of course they would manipulate politifact to say this.

Chrislam is officially obsolete.  To be closer to God one must convert to the one true religion, Mormonism.

The Don lime interview.  It goes a bit off the rails around the last 15 minutes.

Well it depends.  If those 3 posts were written by Sandy then it would be too much of a load for me to moderate.

Glad you're having fun.  Just go easy on Sandy.  The sharpest blades among us are often the most fragile.

Been a while since we've had moderator drama.  Reminds me of the good old days.

Don't worry.  Once congress bans tiktok I think at least 80% of them will come here.  Of course we'll have to make sure our posts are less than 10 words long or their ADHD will kick in.

Well, I don't have time to read Sandy's book about me at the moment.  But I'm going to assume it's the usual fawning praise.

I'd just like to say, thank you.  Your support is what keeps me going!

Alright.  Great energy everyone.  But there's been quite a bit of going around in circles.  I think we need to take some time off this topic to think about what other people have written.  I'll unlock it later on today.

Well... just perusing this I am seeing a lot of repetition from dataoverflow.  On the other hand I'm also seeing a lot of repetition from other contributors to that thread.

Shall I ban everyone involved?

Tell you what.  I'm going to lock this thread and that thread for a few hours just to let people learn to listen a little more.

I think I've figured out Hamma's winning strategy.  Just send their fighters, armed or not, to the Israeli bases.  They'll carpet bomb their own bases just to get one Hammas fighter.

ELON MUSK IS CENSORING DON LIME!!!

It might be because he found out Don Lime is an idiot but it's probably censorship.

Our fruit filter broke the link.  Nice.

The fact that this was bipartisan is interesting.  The arguments that this social media app is such a great threat to us that we need to ditch the first amendment I find unconvincing.

I've heard a theory going around the pro Palestinian people.  They think lawmakers are trying to ban tiktok because it's been very effective at exposing Israel's war crimes.  Not sure I quite believe that either.

All hail the People's Republic of Barbecue!

My favorite part of the article.

The presidency remains vacant and lawmakers’ terms have expired, which has fueled public dissatisfaction with Henry and others in power. Public services have been limited, including trash collection, and cholera has resurfaced, while gangs have terrorized the population with systematic rape, indiscriminate kidnapping and mass killing.

It's refreshing to see a crisis in the world that doesn't have anything to do with us.  At least I think it doesn't.  I think this is France's mess.

I watched it.  Also the rebuttal.  The rebuttal was weak but then again I think every rebuttal seems weak, even the democrats.  Maybe it's a consequence of being out of power.

SOTU speeches have been campaign rallies for a while now.  Instant communication has made the original intent of the SOTU obsolete.

What did I think of his speech... picture your grandpa who you think is too old to drive.  He wants to prove you wrong so he takes you on a drag race where he knocks over several mailboxes, small animals and occasionally clips a few people while outrunning the police.  While he did win the race and did a few impressive things it doesn't quite convince me he's okay to drive.  I think mostly it proved that he's willing to overdose on enough adderall and viagra to be effective at the job.

My favorite moment was when Jewish Space Laser started heckling him about the victim of an illegal immigrant, to say her name.  Which he does but mispronounces it.  I can't tell if he's trolling her or if he just mushmouthed it.

Sadly no.  It was a masterful ruse on the part of Google, aka The Patriarchy.

Race swap everyone right before Women's month.
React to the outrage by shutting down their AI.
Now The Patriarchy is free to keep perpetrating their gender crimes against women!

I don't know who this Keith Olbermann is but he's delusional if he thought the scotus would do have ruled any differently.  This was a unanimous decision.  That should tell him something.  If they let this stand then our presidential elections would devolve into the parties only being able to run in a state in which they have a governor.

The only thing I disagree with is that they set the bar unreasonably high to prevent an insurrectionist from holding office.  They ruled it takes an act of congress.  I think being convicted of an insurrection adjacent crime should be enough.

I don't think the states have absolute authority in their elections.  I think they have to defer to the federal government on quite a few things.

I wonder if Clarence Thomas's megadonors will give free land yachts to the liberal justices as well.  Just as a good will gesture.

I agree.  How the 14th is executed needs a little work.  I'm glad to see the supreme court got to that so fast.  I wish they could get to the question of presidential immunity as fast.  Apparently it'll take until July at least for our most brilliant legal minds to figure out of the president is the same thing as a king and no trial can proceed without answering this painfully obvious question.

No pugs.  Porgs actually.  It was a crossover merchandizing effort with Disney.  Paul also has a wise cracking robot sidekick.  Paul brings up the general ban on artificial intelligence.  But the robot dismisses the notion with some witty one liners.

Regrettably most of the previous Fremen cast has been replaced by Chinese actors in a bid to appeal to Chinese audiences.  But on the bright side Donnie Yen does a great job as Stilgar.

Definitely worth seeing in imax if you're going to see it in theaters.  I saw it on a regular screen, kind of regret it.

They do make a few tweaks to the story.  Not sure how you'd feel about them.  But it's nowhere near as much changes as the 1984 version did.

Just saw part 2.  Have to say I liked it a lot more than part 1.  Part 1 sort of felt like they were doing a competent version of the 1984 version.  Part 2 feels like it's own thing.

I've got to say I'm proud of my state upping it's game in the crazy department.  We're no Florida yet but we're making some great efforts lately.
