What, no Hi to someone who does not know you?  That is just rude.

But, I will forgive you if you say Hi to me too.

I was confused at work today when our staff canteen was offering an American themed menu (hot dogs and such) I live in England and couldn't help but think it was a bit like the Germans celebrating VE day with an English themed menu

How have you been?
We are all doing well. How has the FE research been going.

Hard hard work. Lots of looking out of the windows observing the flat road in front of me. Went to a canal for a bit and that too was flat. Also been looking at the dark a lot looking for matter

Today in gym I was playing tennis. At one point I was about 5 or 6 feet (about 2 meters if you are a tool that can't can't do this on your own) from the net, and the ball cam toward me a bit high. I jumped up and forward to hit it, smashed it down onto the other side of the court, hit the net with my racket, and hit my face with the racket. I chipped my tooth.

I went to get it filled after school, and it looks alright now, but not great. :(
At least you aren't in England, they would have left your tooth the way it was.

Actually he would have been able to go to the dentist and have the work done for 47 rather than having to claim on insurance sell his house and possibly die of hunger. FREEDOM !!!

Ahh Wilmore you bet welching fiend. Given that you're going on Brnasons rocket, and in your role of "administrator" i would have thought you'd be organsing jumble sales and the like the raise the cash??

I'm a bet welching fiend? I agreed to your proposal on two occasions. As I recall, the first time you got confused and thought I had said no, when I had in fact agreed (something you subsequently conceded), and having again assented to going in such a machine on your terms, heard nothing more.

The bet i refer to is from last year when you agreed to be banned or at least stay off these boards after Arsenal were soundly thrashed by the Super Blues of Birmingham.

My terms are as follows. Call an EAGM of your fellow freedom fighters and begin raising funds for a flight into the unknown aboard Bransons Rocket. I will help by taking minutes.

Also, why are you all not saving up, like i suggested about 3 years ago, to go on Bransons rocket? It's all a bit odd.
I've got bills. food and rent to pay with a measly wage to cover it.  I believe this trip is somewhere in the 10s of 1000s of dollars which I don't happen to have just sitting around.  I don't find that odd.

I think that the FES consists of more than just you. Also, you could pay for from your new map sales
I'm assuming you mean we could stockpile all our money together and then save enough for one person to go on this flight.  Great idea, I should've thought of it.  Hey guys, send me each about $3000 or so (I can pm bank details) and I will gladly hold all your money safely.

Yeah, you are all dirty thieves, i forgot. Hey here's a plan, Why not have the money held in trust?

Thing is Sue that the Earth has been flat since day 1 and will be flat on the day it does whatever it does in FET and ends. Given that's not going to be for billions of years you yourself could put aside $1 a day and then your kids and their kids do it and then some day they'll have enough. What a legacy !!

someone entirely unrelated to the Society, whose word you should have never taken in the first place.

How did you determine this? What makes Guessed unrelated? Do tell us how you, John Davis, Tom Bishop, etc. have any more credibility than this alleged nobody. I eagerly await your answer.

Your first mistake was assuming i'm a FE'er, show me where I've stated that once?

Funny enough, he never has...

I quite agree. Who are you to say who does and does not have "the knowledge"? Fact is guessed was the only one who answered my question. It should also be noted that my original thread got moved to Complete Nonsense (before it was RM). Ironic is not the word. This is an honest and perfectly reasonable question.

Let's go over it again

The Earth is flat - If this were true it change EVERYTHING we have ever thought about the world we live, not to mention the universe etc.. I fail to see that if this society wants to be seen as a credible cause why it hasn't taken the simple task of having the Earth correctly mapped by a cartographer. The excuses of, they would laugh (ahhhh shame, grow a pair) we haven't got any money, are frankly bu11shi1t. You (FES) have the chance the change the way the Earth is looked at, in fact it's such a massive thing it's impossible to describe what it would do. Yet you're all, to a man, so apathetic that you do nothing but waste your lives harping on about dark energy and magic light or whatever it is.
One assumes that someone here knows how the business world works and so i don't understand why you haven't contacted a cartographer and asked for this project to be undertaken. Why do you think they would they say no. They have a fee yeah but it's not like you're buying a pack of gum, you pay when he's done. Think about it. When he's done what you're got in your hand is basically a licence to print money so why are you so bothered about paying the guy? Unless of course you think it's bu11sh1t as well.

Also, why are you all not saving up, like i suggested about 3 years ago, to go on Bransons rocket? It's all a bit odd.

I think I did it.  Let's look at the facts here

I've been away for about 9 months (apart from one little visit in September), just enough time to plot the perfect crime. Upon my return Steve (someone towards whom I have nothing but disrespect) has gone for an apparent crime against the FES. I say i know nothing about this crime yet these boards are probably (see there i go again pretending like i don't know) full of chat about it.

Some 30 months ago (give or take) I asked if there was a map of the flat earth that had been drawn up by a cartographer. I was told it would done by August 2011, is there any news on this only i'm keen to see what the Earth really looks like and finally solve this problem.

With kind regards
Who told you this?  It seems an extraordinary task.

Guessed

Hi The Apathetic Flat Earth Society.

When will the scaled version of the Flat Earth map be ready?
When will the official flat Earth T-shirt be available for purchase?
When will the flat earth wiki be ready?
When will there be a Flat Earth 'globe' available? I wish to use it as one of those cool drinks cabinets

Thanks

Everything will be done in 2 years.  Stand by for updates as they occur. There, a time frame.

Wonderful. I'd have thought mapping the Earth would take longer than two years. Who are you having do it?

Don't worry, I have top men on it.

Are you going to give it a nice burial?  I will send a wreath.

Why do people idolise machines manufactured in third-world labour conditions to provide mindless entertainment by multinational corporations interested only in locking you into their proprietary platform and making you buy more things at first-world cost price?

why not?

53
so i took it all apart, cleaned it up and applied new thermal contact. Still says it's overheating my prognosis is a broken sensor. Time for a new ps3

btw, taking it apart was really easy, just in case anyone is thinking of doing it.

54
Lol

@monkeybradders
Have you cleaned all the vents assiduously?  Have you tried using an external fan for extra cooling?

Mine died (I suspect from over heating) and I paid Sony for a repair mainly because I wanted the particular model I had.  The repair (or replacement) has lasted about three years now but I've made sure it's well cooled.

There's another thread about this somewhere.

i have cleaned the vents using a spray duster and vacuumed them i have powered it on whilst holding eject for a self clear. I have the unit in front of a waist high pylon fan AND by a window yet it still overheats. I've a feeling i need to get in there and clean it properly but not sure whether this will work.

PS - this is my 3rd ps3 as the other 2 did YLOD so i refuse to go back to sony since they charge 150 for like for like and i can get a new slim for 169

55
it warns that it's overheating over like 10 minutes then shuts off. Should i fuck about repairing it or just get a slim for 169 which i can afford but would rather spend on booze and fags.

Have you ever had this issues? Maybe you can offer advice.

.......20 years after the troubles.....

ermm what now in the when who?

Hopefully that was just confusion over when the Troubles 'ended'. If you don't know what the Troubles were you should lrn2Irishhistory.

The first one.
It's commonly accepted that the Troubles ended with the Good Friday Agreement.

My mistake. I forgot this is 2018....and what chris said.
