Why do you people insist that we waste our money in order to satisfy your curiosity?  It seems to me that if you were really so concerned about this map, you would be the ones footing the bill.  Either quit demanding this or that from us, or start offering to pay for the expenditures.

No, no... you're still confused. I'm the one saying an accurate flat-earth map can't be made because the earth isn't flat. Accurate and extensive surveys have already been made, and they confirm that the Earth is spherical (well... close to it), which we already know from other observations and data. So there's no reason to spend additional money confirming that (again). You're the one claiming earth is flat, therefore all those surveys must be wrong, yet at the same time saying that making an accurate flat-earth map would "waste your money".

It seems like you recognize that trying to make an accurate flat-earth map is folly, which it is because it simply can't be done. Does this mean you're abandoning the charming, but quaint, idea that the Earth is flat? Or just that you prefer sitting on your butt making claims you can't back up?

YESYESYES my statement staid just that, albeit with picture evidence.

If you look up "ball earth", "earth is a ball", etc. on YouTube, you will mostly find... couch potatoes who think the earth is flat (yes, that is my description of 99% of the FSE members). In fact it's an incorrect term only used in conjuction with flat earth. So now we have to invent a new term for a flat earth? Bible Earth? Gullible's Earth?

The Earth is a bit bulged at the equator. In fact the equatorial diameter is 27 miles longer than the pole-to-pole diameter. A ball is generally perfectly round in theory.

You got it? Good.

Hello. Yes I think the Earth is round. And yes I will prove it. How many arguments? 1. 

All map projections (taking the round Earth and projecting it onto a flat surface) are distorted and I'm going to tell you why.

To help us show distortions in the map projections, we are using my little friend, Tissot's indicatrix (say that 5 times fast). Basically, the Earth is getting really bad symmetrical acne.



The thing is that YOU CANNOT PROJECT A ROUND OBJECT ONTO A FLAT SURFACE.

Let's look at some projections.

Here's another one, I don't know if I've seen it before, looks familiar.



Anyways, my point is that you cannot perfectly put the Earth on a flat surface because it is round.

The Antarctic Challenge

OK, flat earthers. I believe the earth is round, and even though you have a right to say against, I would like to challenge you.

Good thing though is that this challenge contrary to belief by these people, is possible and possibly the average person can afford. This is what you have to do:

• Buy this drone
• Fly to Antarctica (or take a boat)
• Fly the drone, and record video
• Upload to YouTube

Yes, if you are a flat earther, that will be your reaction. Go ahead, try it, if you deny you have exposed as a lazy bum.

The lesson: Look up things before you make a conclusion. It helps 99.9% of the time as your cleaning solution kills 99.9% of germs.

Insulting people  is not a good way to start an intelligent discussion,   take a bit of your own advice and look up the flat earth arguments before leaping to conclusions.

Let me give you a quick introduction

I know the earth is a globe,  and have proved it many times over and over,  you won't convince any flat earther by simple logic,   you are dealing with a conspiracy mindset. 
Attack will just provoke a defensive response and re-inforce that mindset.

The conspiracy belief allows flat earth believers to discard ALL space based evidence,  ALL photographic evidence,  ALL arguments based on gravity,  further any argument in favour of a globe earth must be capable of verification by personal experience.   Zetetic thinking.   Antarctica is a continent on the flat earth bipolar map,  not the ice wall. 

So all of your opening arguments have already been refuted before you start.

As Luke 22:35-38 says,  welcome to the trenches.

You fricks don't make sense ever, and I'd like to give you sense. Here we go.

COMMON MISCONCEPTIONS

1. The earth is not a ball. It's more an irregular shape. But, the naked eye.
2. The earth is gigantic, not the size of nothing. In fact, because it's so big, we have to use such things as looking across a bay, and not seeing the bottom of a building.
3. CGI did not exist in the 70's and 80's (at least to a point where you could fake the Earth with WACKY EFFECTS OOH).
4. The Antarctic Treaty states that you CAN visit Antarctica. Take a boat along the coast, trek to the south pole, or take a flight, that way you can see Antarctica is not a frickin' wall.
5. The map on the UN flag is just a map. It's like the only projection that can show all the continents (to represent the UN is a worldwide organization).

Ask for more if you want more. Oh right, Images of Earth every 10 minutes, and they are not from NAYSA, they are from JAXA (the Japanese space program).
