probably flat? i think it's probably round, i think that's what most people believe it to be. but good luck with your bbc thing. i'm sure it'll go so far to prove conclusively that the earth is of course flat, what a fun thing that'd be to watch on tv.

oh, and no one answered my question on bees a while back

Flat Earth Debate / Re: Why do you argue this?
« on: August 06, 2008, 01:02:09 PM »
Do you know how much it would cost to send something like that into space? Think before posting.

$25 million for space ship one. Think before posting.

$25 million ain't that much, £12.5 million, I'm sure if you each put £10,000 in you and the other 1250 people could send something into space....oh wait, that would require more than 3 of you wouldn't it...and that would be a problem

$25 million comes from the Wikipedia page on SpaceShipOne

Is your silence a sign that you admit that I am right?

Flat Earth Debate / Why do you argue this?

Instead of arguing about this on the internet when the UN and NASA etc are just going to deny it, why don't you pool your money together, build a rocket (or become a NASA or Soyuz astronaut) and take your cameras up and prove to people that it is flat?

Ignore what we see with our own eyes?

And how long have you believed in there being a flat earth?

Flat Earth Debate / Belief

The funny thing is that no one actually believes that the earth is flat. Even the people who argue that it's flat are just playing Devil's Advocate. What's even funnier is the way evidence to the contrary of there being a flat earth is just ignored!

lol

Flat Earth Q&A / Proof
« on: June 15, 2007, 10:50:50 AM »
ok, for once and for all...there's NO scientific proof for this anymore...infact, evidence shows the contrary...that the earth is ROUND...Rowbotham may have "proved the earth is flat" (NOT), but those experiments have been done away with as they do not prove that the earth is flat... innocent till proven guilty...if there was mounds of evidence that the earth is flat, then wouldnt everyone believe that it's flat?

everything's logical...

Flat Earth Q&A / Bees
« on: June 10, 2007, 12:39:28 PM »
If the Earth is flat, then explain how bees communicate, as they communicate by the sun being on the other side of the world...if the earths round then it will not be on the other side...

Flat Earth Q&A / Re: Samuel Birley Rowbotham
« on: March 21, 2007, 12:57:58 PM »
maybe rowbotham just wanted to start a conspiracy.....looks like he got one!
what would it take for FE'ers to believe in the round earth?

14
can there be an infinity of suns, contained within a finite space? (3000 miles according to FE'ers)

15
Flat Earth Q&A / any explanation then?
« on: March 16, 2007, 01:14:56 PM »
so, why is it quicker to fly in a curve when going from england to america? can only mean one thing.......a round earth. on a flat earth, it would be quicker to go in a straight line!

you know its a FACT that the earth orbits the sun, right?

i really dont see how its a dumb poll. i bet you voted. the whole point of this poll is that i want to see if mr rowbothams arguments are conlcusive enough for you............i really dont see how that comment was helpful!

plus, the experiments that rowbotham did have now been done, and it shows that the earth is a sphere, according to wiki

Flat Earth Debate / earthquakes
« on: March 15, 2007, 12:19:34 PM »
when an earthquake happens, at the "other side of the world", L and S waves are not detected.....this should only be if the earth is round, as they have to pass through the earths core.  if the earth is flat they should sill be detected, but they are not.
explain.

Flat Earth General / Re: Challenge to all Round Earthers
« on: March 15, 2007, 12:13:03 PM »
i bet you a thousand dollars/pounds that in 100 years time, youll still have not fully proven this

27
exactly, its not sound

28
ok, if the experiments were completely impossible to go against, this would be known around he world. hm.......funny, last time i checked, most people have not even heard of Rowbotham.....so if the FE argument were true, everyone would know the guy, the calculations, and then arguing about it would be pointless....exept, youd probably then set up the round earth society, just for the hell of it.
my point is, you always direct us to the same book, and you know that this is not completely sound.

29
Flat Earth General / Re: Challenge to all Round Earthers
« on: March 15, 2007, 11:25:08 AM »
ok, francois, you challenged us, and we gave you an answer........we showed you that to get to other countries around the world, it is shorter to go in a curve.......you dismiss this by saying we're on drugs.....i believe we have accepted the challenge and are fighting it, and you dont listen to the answers......what good is a question when you cant face the answer?
so theres one shred of evidence for us......match that.

Flat Earth Q&A / Re: Read this and explain FE'ers
« on: March 15, 2007, 11:02:48 AM »
you tell us to take physics classes? most of us have......but the thing is, there are experiments that prove the earth is round too........my advice? go take some physics classes
