You big wuss.

Used pneumatic guns, next time we're going to use the hand ones I think. I did a whole bunch of rivets then realised I did them wrong and had to drill them all out and start again.

Welding isn't used much, I dunno if we get to do it.

I've got to write a CV now (which I haven't done since 6th form I think) to send to the military plane place near me to see if they'll take me on for work experience, apparently they don't take dual nationals but hoping they'll make an exception.

Hell no! you don’t mess with the dead on Lundy, too damn many of them. including 2 giants found in Bulls paradise in 1856 when they were digging the foundations for some farm buildings, interred in granite sarcophagi the male measured at 8 foot 2 inches (2.5 metres), along with beads dated 600-800 BC.

Not to mention the shipwrecks and the mass of potential zombie hordes that could rise from the sea, hardly the sort of company you want to call up on an isolated island 10 miles from the coast with sketchy phone coverage, frequent fogs and lights that go out at 12.30. Have you never seen a horror movie Crouts, because if there’s a tick list of situational give aways to avoid a bloodbath ending, then apart from the stark beauty of the place, Lundy has it all.

Sounds like an excellent collection of ghosts to commune with. Don't be a wuss.

I've been riveting today. It wasn't as riveting as I hoped it would be.
I've been wanting to make that joke all day but no one else there would get it.

Hi G, keep them planes greasy.

Spacey, good luck with the wind.

I have kept them greasy. I've also weighed them. Planes are heavy.

WHAT SNACKS?

Little Debbie oatmeal creme pies (stop it)
A box of assorted little bags of chips
crackers
bananas
Vienna sausages
beans
M&M's
canned tuna
canned chicken

I think that's it.

As of the 5am storm update, I am no longer in the cone of uncertainty. Wherever this thing makes landfall is going to be bad, though. They're predicting cat 3. I think tonight is supposed to be the worst weather for my area, probably lots of rain and 20-30 mph wind gusts when the bands pass through. That is really nothing, but it could still cause power outages from trees falling or branches taking the lines down.

Hopefully you don't lose power

Good luck with that, hopefully hurricane Idalia is an idler and doesn't bother to hurricane much.

I lubricated an aeroplane yesterday, what fun. And got the hang of twisting lockwires.

. Also, she is in love with a cat someone dumped out the other day.

Awww!!

I'm at school now. Its been nice to find out that despite it being 20 years since I last did maths at school, its all coming back to me quickly. Less nice to find out that I am so weak I struggled to check the calibration of the torque wrenches

My garden seems to be even more moss now so doubt we'll need to cut the grass for quite a while still.

What was that one role we used to have? Wildcard or something, a villager that only won in the penguins won. That was a fun and annoying rule.

Well, to vote for a confirmed returnee human whose only crime is the unintended massacre of his own side smacks of a duplicity hatched between the feet, the webbed feet, of  of the apex predator in these parts, that the others have succumbed to the cold and ennui that these frigid realms beget leaves me with few options, and as Alexi is unlikely to allow me to plant my ice-axe between Gotham's avian eyes, I await the inevitable.

Well you're not confirmed any more because you might have been bitten, no one is confirmed now apart from the dead.

Hope Boydster is ok :(

So sorry Crouton. Is there anything that you used to with your dad when you were a child like play chess or something? He might enjoy doing something like and reminiscing over the old days.

That would have been a little awkward since my dad was an anti semite.  Great guy unless you were a, well, you know.

He hung in there for 10 months.  We made the most of it.  The last movie he watched was Fiddler on The Roof.  I'd like to believe it was a tacit apology for his antisemtism.

We're fortunate, in a way.  Not a lot of people get such advanced warnings of someone's impending death.

Oh shit, didn't look at the date of this thread. Sorry he died but glad you got those 10 months to make the most of.

It did go well, I'll be studying aircraft maintenance in the autumn!

Congratulations! My neighbour just retired from that field.  How is the little dictator?

The little dictator is not so little any more, she's 12! The smaller dictator is still little but dictating at an older level I'm sure.

Only annoying thing about aircraft maintenance, is that thanks to being a dual national I likely won't be able to do my internship at the military place that's local because they don't trust filthy dual nationals.

I messaged Gayer and Junker for ghost council advice and neither of them replied. They are bad ghosts  >:(

Also, you shouldn't tell me who the Shaman is or I will lead a campaign to get them killed. lol

(psst tell me if you want)

Sorry! Blame my other mum, I was busy beating her at scrabble last night.

To whoever killed me: I will get my revenge. Eventually. Probably next year, if I don't forget.

Makes sense, people that don't turn up reliably (speaking of which, someone PM me if I don't turn up reliably, my mum is visiting so I might be distracted by games of scrabble) aren't much use to the side of good so in absence of any clues about the penguins its best to go for someone like that.

I am freezing! I'm going to the research station. Maybe there will be coffee.

I'd join you but apparently you don't remember me and my eyepatch, hmph.
Lemme know if you find tea though

We're all still alive so far, right? I still feel alive. Am I really here, or do I just think I am?

Well, you're Boydster, so if you are alive, it won't be for long as you'll get lynched.

I'm not going anywhere near those ominously silent living quarters, that's how you die in a horror film.

That sounds reasonable.
