There is no resistance in space. Neither in an FE model or RE model.

Is there a FE reason for gravity being stronger at the poles?

Have you seen first hand evidence of this? Its a conspiracy.

The short answer: No. Although it does exercise the mind well to try to debate/defend a possible but very far-fetched theory.

Honestly.

do you mean the real tom bishop, torn bishop, or the no-name user with tom bishop in the animated gif (above)?

if you mean the first, then probably tom bishop. i read somewhere on this site that he has a phd and the avatar matches photos of that name on the web. he is some kind of mental healt professional or something, with a phd but it seems not an md. could you imagine being one of his patients!

anyway here's something on the web about him. i didn't write the one review. i would add my own review, but since theres no way to be sure it's really him, it wouldn't seem right, given that it could mess up his professional life.

he's either really stupid (already established) for being a psychologist/whatever and using his real name on such a idiotic site for the whole world to see for the rest of his life. or, it's someone else impersonating thomas bishop phd from monterey, ca, and the real poor tom bishop would be horrified to know it, and the imposter here is just dag nasty evil for it.

If Tom Bishop has a Ph.D. may God strike me down now.

He's a f**king moron are you kidding me?

IN SEARCH OF THE EDGE is a comprehensive documentary proving, fairly conclusively, that the earth is flat!

Humorous, thought-provoking, and at once both absurdist and matter of fact, it presents a carefully constructed argument from a definite, well-researched "flat-earth" point of view, while dismissing the "global earth" doctrine as little more than an elaborate hoax.

The film is comprised of the conventional documentary mix of elements, including interviews with experts, stock footage, still photographs and animation, and is woven together with the story of Andrea Barns, a Canadian woman who devoted her life to convincing the world that the earth is flat.

This is an essential lesson in media literacy for a generation plugged into television. Provoke critical thinking in your students and help them to become aware of the devices used in documentary media; the history of scientific paradigms; and their own willingness to take things at face value.

DVD version: An extensive study guide is included in a PDF file on the DVD-ROM portion of the disc.

The DVD version of this program is recorded on DVD-R which is not compatible with some older DVD players. See the new DVD page for more details.

Flat Earth Q&A / Re: Post the 2007 Dumbest post
« on: October 26, 2007, 03:22:48 PM »
do you know what light is? light is what you see from everythign from a blank wall to a tree the sun or whatever its all light and it reflects off of everything, different objects refrect light in different colours.

there is no optical light, there is just light and theres no other type of light unless you start talkling about energy saving lightbulbs compared to other types of light bulbs, but they all preduce the same light that can comes from the sun, and that refracts off of every object that the light hits

I'll take the prize now please, and I might as well have the one for 2008, 2009, 2010, 2011...
And I'll have the prize for the single dumbest post in all of human history as well please.

damn you beat me too it.

Isn't it obvious? Neil Armstrong is anamatronic, built by NASA along with every other astronaut. That's what they spent their money on.

I'm Neil Armstrong, and the Earth is flat. Yes its true, all you naysayers be damned.

EDIT: BTW I'm not a robot

All of the threads are the same as 8 months ago. Tom Bishop, just because there is a video out saying your theory is true doesn't mean it is.

in the last couple of months. Has the argument for FE been revolutionized? Have RE'ers converted any FE'ers over? Has anything interesting happened on this site? Or has it been infected with people that have the sole objective to gain the highest post count?

Flat Earth Q&A / Re: Ah yes, the ice wall . .
« on: March 13, 2007, 05:13:29 PM »
ahh but the atmosphere is still very real, meaning that we're protected by that vacuum, making it not intensely cold, meaning erosion can still happen, your response ?

When did I say erosion didn't occur? It occurs but as soon as water gets close enough to space, it freezes. Filling in the gap created by erosion.

Philosophy, Religion & Society / Re: Intelligence in Nature
« on: March 13, 2007, 05:09:18 PM »
Intelligence is relative. A person cannot quantify intelligence though, because it consists of so many fields. Intelligence is found everywhere, as all creatures possess it; even if it is nothing but "instinctual."

Flat Earth Q&A / Re: Ah yes, the ice wall . .
« on: March 13, 2007, 05:05:17 PM »
The Ice wall was created because it was near the edge of the Earth, near space. (Space = vacuum=extremely cold) Water erosion is irrelevant because of this, because anytime water got close enough to the perimeter of the Earth, it would freeze.

As for your other questions, I cannot think of any logical response.

I do think that is torture.

I guess I wasn't thinking clearly when I created that post. I do see how religion brings out the evil in all.

But altruism is not beneficial in all cases to those it intends to help.  For this reason I believe altruism is not something for which we should strive.

Good point, altruism is a matter a debate though as people can perceive acts of it in different ways.

I have to ask, why do you think it is not relevant whether the person is spreading truth or not?

Because if a person thinks he is actively helping people it is an act of altruism, even if he isn't spreading the truth.

I would have to agree with this. In light of this though, you could argue that Hitler was altruistic.

Bat-shit insane, but altruistic I guess.
