Hi
200 years on and what Napoleon said "China is a sleeping dragon - let it sleep or one day it will rule the world" seems to be true

The advance of the "Yellow Peril" is now threatening the Western world in a much more pernicious way than the Soviets ever did.
They plan world domination by flooding the markets with cheap goods at prices which other countries are unable to compete.
These are some Chinese phrases which GWB should have used on his Chinese counterpart.

Hi
Be very careful what you say about S B as horses heads are easy to come by. On a serious note I would say that I would sooner support a PM however left wing to one who has compared himself to Julius Caesar, Napoleon and Jesus Christ

Hi
The old ones are the best - such as
Baby polar bear " Dad am I a Polar Bear?"
Dad "Yes son"
Baby Polar Bear "But Dad am I really a Polar Bear?"
Dad "Of course son that's why you have that thick white coat. Why do you ask?"
Baby Polar Bear "Cause I'm fucking cold"

Hi
It's suddenly dawned on me that your initial sentence contained the words "US Intelligence Agencies" which is surely a contradition of terms so there is the answer

The Lounge / Secretary of State's visit to England
« on: April 03, 2006, 02:31:05 PM »
Hi
In reply to Cinlef's remark I should mention that I was against the war in Iraq but once hostilities commenced I have fully backed the US and UK troops  who are putting their lives on the line every day. To get back to my points Dr Rice stayed in a working class area in England and not in the capital and I am sure that she and the people she visited derived mutual benefits from shared experiences.
I also stand by myremarks that  the media have focused on the negatives  not the positives of the visit

Hi
Getting back to the question about GWB and whether he is any good _ I voted yes on the spin of a coin.
I have a stock answer "The Devil, God, George W Bush and Tony Blair are alright if you don't take seriously"

The Lounge / Secretary of State's visit to England
« on: April 02, 2006, 04:27:23 PM »
Hi
May I say that it has been a refreshing change for a visiting dignatory to visit and stay in what is by and large a working class area centred around Blackburn in Lancashire in the North West of England.
I would say that Dr Rice's visit has on the whole been a success despite the media focusing on the antics of anti war demonstrators (comprising for the most part of pacifists and the "Looney Left" ) (No doubt there are such elements in the US).
I have no axe to grind - on the contrary as I am a Yorkshireman whose bitter rivals are Lancastrians
Well done Condeleezza !!!!

Hi
Sorry to say that I don't have the talent to play a musical instrument but I do like listening to a wide variety of music ranging from classical to rock.
I think the 60's single of Love Sculpture's version of "Sabre Dance" (Katcharturian) combines the two and is well worth a listen. I think Dave Edmunds played lead guitar

Hi
Pure speculation but someone in authority may have suddenly spotted something which when analysed could implicate the "Dirty Tricks Brigade" or others or lead to general embarrassment. Another more cinical reason could that a government official in a sinecure job suddenly had an attack of conscience and felt it high time he/she did something to justify his/her position

Hi
I am not qualified to judge but as far as "ancient history" is concerned if I remember correctly the "Cold War" was escalating at an alarming rate in the 1950's.

The Lounge / santa claus is not a myth - just senile
« on: March 22, 2006, 04:19:20 PM »
Hi Read this quick or the powers who think they be in the FES will delete (They have done it before though Christ Knows Why - Perhaps a repressed childhood)
This is a tongue in cheek argument to prove that Santa is not infallible. It is based on the contents of a "Thank You" letter to Father Xmas from a young boy and his sister. This has received good feedback from many people except the anally retentive. (You know who I mean)
Dear Mr Santa Claus
Where's me f*cking bike
I've unwrapped all this other crap
And there's f*ck all here I like
If I'd wanted a pair of soccer boots
I'd have f*cking asked
And your spaceman suit and ping pong set
You can shove right up your ass
I wrote you a f*cking letter and came to see you twice
You shagged out geriatric git
You forgot me f*cking bike
Next time I come to see you I'll punch you in the guts
And I'll let all your f*cking reindeers loose
And kick Rudolph in the nuts
You've cocked me f*cking order up
It's enough to make me spew
And it's not just me whose hopping mad
Me Sister's pissed off too
Dear Mr Santa Claus where's me f*cking pram
You promised me you'd send one
And you know who I am
Cause I'm the little girl who you made sit right on your hand
I'll give you"Ho Ho f*cking Ho"
Where's me f*cking pram
So just you wait till next year
When you go to that store
And me and me little sister
Come charging through the door
And we'll say Hey Mums and Dads
Just smell his breath and look at his bloodshot eyes
And do'nt believe him boys cos he tells f*cking lies
He's just a piss head head and a perv and not that f*cking bright
Cause he's the f*cking who forgot me f*cking bike

I see what you mean.
Disneyland on the moon would be more of a "wow" than Disneyland Paris has been - I trust that there is no opposition to that premise.
I rather favour a giant Mickey Mouse welcoming all and sundry to the moon on "cheap day savers" and that would really convince me of the moon landings _ Everybody loves Mickey!!
Gran

21
I may have disproved my own theory that the moon landings were hoaxes. Am I right in thinking that the US President throughout the whole series of landings was one Mr Nixon. Now there's someone who would never tell a lie !!!!!!!
Gran

22
If the  Americans had walked on the moon they would by now (some 40 years later) have built a self-contained holiday centre offering cut price tourist trips. They would have also have built a military base instead of proposing the Strategic Defence Initiative and would not be operating meaningless space shuttle projects (two of which exploded) just outside Earth's atmosphere

Technology, Science & Alt Science / Devil Worship?
« on: March 16, 2006, 03:06:20 PM »
Both the Devil and God are alright if you don't take them too seriously. Put them in a boxing ring together and I will worship the winner (I'm easily convinced)
PS Erasmus and Cinlef - Paul Martin is a respected presenter on British television !!!

No relevance to the the "Moon Landings" just a knee jerk reaction to an ill informed comment to someone who does not know me. nor my boxing expertise. I trust that you have reprimanded the other person.
On the subject of alleged moon landings, could you explain why American billionaires have to go into space with Russian Astronauts rather than Americans if the USA did put a man on the moon? Mmmm

I think that I have solved the problem.
The answer is a banana 7 inches long and the clue is that "His Father's name was Smith"
Am I right
