1. The fact that this place is littered with globers proves that *someone* has been trying to ridicule the movement. Why?

2. The fact that Youtube has suppressed pro flat earth videos suggests that *someone* got worried. Who and why?

3. The fact that nobody has settled the question once and for all suggests that the question is not easily answered. Why?

All your work to discredit people thinking about things like the flat earth only make them think more. So, ultimately it's a win for my side.

Most people have never thought about the question.

Ask an acquaintance if they believe the earth to be round or flat. Typically, they'll inform you that it's a fact, not a matter of belief.

Then, you say, "Oh right. I didn't know! When did they prove that then...?"

Endure some vague comments about space adventures, sailing around the world, people not trusting what they are told... etc.

Realise how little most people have thought about anything they/everyone know.

It's fun. I do it frequently.

Edit: People like this are the majority by a far margin.

Ideas need a location; See: the order of things. Have fun with that one.

Don't follow. Perhaps you could outline the argument?

Flat Earth General / Re: Are Flat Earthers Bad in Mathematics?
« on: October 21, 2017, 01:13:03 PM »
Just admit it: because Flat Earthers cannot grasp the complex mathematics behind rotating three dimensional spheres they've made it flat.

Who have made "it" flat? The flat earthers, or the people behind the complex mathematics?

Theoretically speaking, if you were running a round earth scam, where do you think would be the best place to have your headquarters?

I think Siberia would be a good choice because the weather always keeps people away. I'v been watching this map for awhile https://www.accuweather.com/en/us/national/satellite-interactive and one thing I noticed is that storms are always in Siberia.

That's so last century. Ideas don't need a location. They are everywhere. My guess is the Bilderbergers or one of their sub-groups monitor the fraud periodically.

They've probably been concerned for the last few years at all of the thinkers questioning their nonsense.

Flat Earth General / Re: Why is youtube so prevalent in FE
« on: October 21, 2017, 12:46:14 PM »
Good morning,
I am new here and it has become rapidly apparent the further I read into the forums the more I encounter YouTube videos and poorly animated diagrams presented as proof. Whats more there is significant discord and disagreement within the FE community on key elements of the FE theory which makes it difficult to investigate FE. I guess my question is where do I find the most widely supported model of FE?

Kind regards,
 :)

Some would argue that round earth theory is equally messy and lacking in evidence. You should look into that and you'll find disagreements there too.

Reality arising through processing (virtual reality) is much more coherent. In fact, I know of no valid logical objection to the theory. I'd suggest you start here: http://thephysicalworldisvirtual.com/ (no youtube videos).

Well maybe you should add something to the thread instead of doing nothing but ridiculing others' posts.

Though it might be better to take another leave of absence and attend some education classes.

What?

"Attend some education classes"

Is that your answer to everything, rubin? What a strange little creature you are. You sound like a bot or a "teacher" to me. Whichever is true, your "advice" can be cast immediately into the nearest bin.

The irony of your post adding nothing to the thread is also probably lost on you, you little turnip!

You could. But it would cost more than gold is worth. Usually the elements that are made are the ones that don't appear naturally.
So, not elements then?
Do you struggle to appear so incapable of understanding simple English or does it come naturally to anyone living only in VR?

Is that your contribution to the discussion? More than usual to be fair. You were always hopeless. You added nothing to anything as usual. Just background noise at best.

We can make Plutonium.

Can we? Great. Explain.
Google is your friend.
All plutonium originates in nuclear reactors and is produced by the capture of extra neutrons by uranium-238 to form U-239, which then undergoes a series of decays to form Pu-239:

I see you have got no stronger, markjo. As weak as ever. This is going to be fun. For me.
Your inability to understand the physics involved is not a weakness of mine.

Your ability to believe the physics you don't understand, but just link from anywhere is not my problem. As I said. Weak.

That's literally opposite of what I said.
Synthetic elements are made all the time.

Elements, as they OP asked about, are the ones that are natural to the planet. Not the who-knows-what, created by who-knows-who.

Try and stay on topic.
Sorry I destroyed your claim. Get off religion's dick and then you won't make such stupid claims.

Still struggling I see. Good.

I guess my question is... How were the elements made on Flat Earth? Or... Is it more likely they were all their from the beginning, and stop asking question?
The same way that creationists explain fossils:  God put them there at the time of creation just to mess with us.

Citation required. I've never met a creationist who believes that. Still throwing straw men around I see, markjo.

No one knows, nor can ever know, how the elements were formed unless they are able to create those elements on demand. Without that you've got nothing but unproven theories.

How are the labs getting on creating life, by the way? Not well I suspect.

Flat Earth General / Re: Why would NASA lie ?
« on: July 23, 2016, 02:41:11 PM »
There are a couple of bits of evidence of space travel that intrigue me: (1) the use of ultra-high frequency radio.  This means radio waves higher freq than shortwave; one distinction is that these don't bounce off the ionosphere, so they're useless for shortwave/inter-continental broadcasting, they simply go in straight lines, straight through the atmosphere into outer space.  It's the sort of radio that NASA (and all the other rocket and space programs of all the countries) uses and when the moon landings and the international space station events were happening, laboratories and radio engineers and hobbyists all over the world tuned into those ultra-high frequencies and heard at least one side of the back-and-forth transmissions.  This would not have been possible with conventional shortwave.  It means that the radio signals came from outer space, where the astronauts were supposed to be.  (2)  the retroflector on the moon.  Each NASA moon landing, from the very first, set up a retroflector.  This is a rather carefully made, very carefully positioned, multi-angular mirror, designed and made specially, which will reflect laser beams and microwave transmissions back to Earth to the very spot from which they were sent.  It doesn't have any moving parts nor a battery, but it has to be set up and aimed back at Earth very precisely - more precisely than mere robots could be trusted to do.  When the first moon landing occurred in 1969 a bunch of observatories and labs were prepared, already beaming at the landing point ... but not getting their signals returned until the astronauts had finished positioning the retroflector.  Since then, a retroflector has been set up by each moon landing; since they don't have any moving parts nor batteries, they're the only things still functioning on the moon. And they could only be functioning there because astronauts put them there.  And also (3)  demonstrations and stunts by the astronauts:  Every moon landing, and even many orbital missions that were not moon landings, the astronauts do something on the television cameras that simply couldn't be done in a movie studio - like hitting a golf ball a mile. This was deliberately done to prove they were on the moon.

Now, the next part is important, consider this: Suppose NASA is lying and somehow the Earth is flat and all that outer space stuff is fake.  Why was EVERYBODY fibbing about it before 1958, before NASA was established?  Who was raking in the round earth money before NASA?  And even now, even if NASA is lying, all those other countries - even the ones hostile to us and not getting any money, like North Korea - also claim the earth is round, also say there were moon landings.  There isn't enough money to bribe them all! The Watergate conspiracy couldn't keep its lid on for a full six months and it only involved about a dozen people.  How could a conspiracy to conceal the flatness of the Earth succeed for so many centuries, with the complicity of so many scientists and teachers and airline pilots in so many countries, etc. etc.?   They couldn't all be bribed or bullied, could they?

Couldn't be bothered to read your entire post, but, you should educate yourself about how money is created. To claim "there isn't enough money to bribe them all!" shows you are entirely ignorant about the nature (and purpose) of money.

Is there no end to the monkeys who end up here? Rather than banning sympathetic members, the mods would do well to ban members who have no clue about how this world is structured.

What ARE those bright lights that appear exactly where they should be after a satellite was launched then?

Please, grace us with your wisdom.

How do you know where anything "should be?" Are you a mathematician?

I think not..!

Thanks for the comedy.

It's very simple. nasa, along with many other "scientific" organisations, are part of the cult of "scientism." They lie because they can. You can't verify anything they claim, but you convince yourself that other organisations out there, can. Thus, they must be telling the truth. It's a great scam. You have been conditioned to take everything these people say as the truth. It's actually worse than any religion because they offer you nothing in return.

Not true.  You can go out on any clear night, and no matter where you are on the planet, you can see satellites.  The same satellites launched by NASA and the other space agencies.  Everything they say and do is verifiable, and it is indeed verified by countless independent people.

Furthermore, there is no "them."  NASA and the other space agencies are made up of thousands of real people, with lives and families; not of alien or reptilian overlords.

You must have great eyes. You can honestly see "satellites?"

No. Of course you can't. You can see something (a bright dot) moving across the sky. Your befuddled brain thus concludes it must have been a manmade satellite.

As I said, great scam.

Yes, I can see satellites, in exactly the positions they should be according to their purposes and orbital elements.  And with a half-decent telescope, I can resolve the International Space Station.  It is your befuddled brain that decides that this would or could be faked.

No you can't. You are a believer who sees what they think they should see (due to years of conditioning). You are deluded.

The sad thing is; you don't even comprehend the above facts I cited.

Still, you entertain the likes of me, so you sort of have a purpose. Sort of. Maybe.

Papa, u talk a lot about aerodynamics, laws of motion, chemistry, orbital mechanics, structural design, material properties and technologies and u keep telling that all the bs that nasa is trying to sell can easily be disproved by using basic knowledge and reasoning. Can u share with the readers of this forum the sources of that basic knowledge so that we can read and learn from ourselves?

Numerous errors here freddy. Too lazy to type 'you'? The last sentence is great, by the way. I've bolded the funny part for you so you can try to detect the error.

You have a long way to go to reach the great height that PL operates from. Sadly, I doubt you'll even reach base camp. Still, asking for help is a start.

Needless to say the Earth is not flat. This has been proven beyond all doubt by over a thousand years of intellectual enlightenment, yet flat earthers reject the progess of society with inadequate justification, desperately grasping at mere plausibility and calling it "proof". My question is why? Why just haphazardly throw out years and years of scientific exploration that produced a valid model of our world. I can agree with the questioning of established knowledge, if said questioning displays valid objections, the notion of a flat earth is not a valid objection.

I am well aware that many who claim to hold this irrational belief may be doing so for their own entertainment, however it would appear that in the recent weeks I have browsed these forums, more and more have joined who seem genuine. More worrying is that many of these new believers claim to have children and entertain the possibility of educating them in these falsehoods. I sincerely hope that this doesn't lead to flat earth perpetuating itself. I will likely post more musings later. For now focus on my earlier question.

Please do highlight fallacies and discrepancies, I would like to improve my arguments. I may be newly registered but I have observed the forums for quite some time and am familiar with many of the frequent users and their posts. Thank you. I look forward to replies.

Your first sentence contained a fallacy, you complete and utter fool. Proof by assertion to be specific. "Needless to say the earth is not flat."

And then you give no evidence whatsoever to validate your assertion.

Look in the mirror much?

What do mirrors have to do with this post, round and stupid?

Oh you're serious about not getting it. You must endeavor to get out of you mom's basement more than once a decade.

It means your are accusing Jazz Singer of doing exactly what you do. Another way to say it is, "Pot, meet kettle." Okay I know I lost you with both sayings.

So here is one that is point blank (Though I have my doubts, you'll get it). You make blanket declarations about FET with not one iota of proof and you call ALL proofs of RE lies and misinformation without any proof and still have the nads to go after someone for making a blanket statement ONLY because you don't agree with it.

Understand now? Yeah, I didn't think so, but I had to try.

round and stupid, the OP requested members point out his fallacies. I did that. You are simply attempting to attack me for your own reasons. Needless to say, your waffle adds no value to this thread, either to the OP, or other readers.

Nothing new there though, eh?
