Flat Earth Q&A / No offense intended

i doubt youll get a direct reply...theyll proabaly say something the FAQ's or theyll simply claim that pressure is a fallacy or gravity or that the disc shpaed curvature is actually an optial illusion or a hologram.

Why look for nuclear power when oil is oozing into your living room?

You don't need to look for nuclear power if oil is oozing into your living room. But you can't claim that oil is the only solution to the problem, just because it seems to fit.

it doesnt seem to fit, it does fit, there isnt a problem that arises from the RE theory, compare that to an ice wall. There are many questions that confront the FE theory where FE's struggle to explain with unproven assumptions

Only if it was spinning really fast - if it was a very slow spin it would be hardly noticeable.

Prove the earth is spinning slow....

I'm not saying that it's the case - just that it could be an alternative explanation for the results of the pendulum observations.

ok, but what proof is there that that is even a possibility? Why search for an alternative when 1 solution fits pefectly???...why look for nuclear power when oil is oozing into your living room? the oil crisis now, alternate sources of energy only thrive when oil doesnt, alterante theories only arise whenone doest a re earth, it fits

True. Too bad it's not that difficult to prove that the world isn't flat.

Then why hasn't anyone done it?

Thats the whole point of the argument, everytime it is proven, FE's ignore the evidence. How hasnt the earth been proven round. The whole point of this debate is to show how FE's dont accept any arguments, you have just won RE's this argument geoguy..TY..oh by the way, you still havent answered the question about the telescope.

Isn't it possible that the Earth is flat and spinning?

People actually have occasionally come up with experiments and arguments in the past that were unable to be refuted by the FEers but as you can see the forum is still going strong. :D  There is no reason, even if what you say is correct, which it probably isn't, to think that this would mean the end of the argument.  There is a never ending stream of REers ready to pit their skills of logic and reasoning against the veterans of this forum :).

That would be impossible, the centrifugal force from a spinning flat earth would force everything toward the edge, where he supposed ice wall is

wow, by posting god doesnt exist someone isjust asking to be shot, this is like the most controversial issue of all time, if you look at it strictly from a scientific viewpoint, the issue is as trivial as the FE cause, but becuase so much people believe in it, like myself, the issue will probabaly never be solved

I believe wheels are actually in the shape of an octogon
...(COncerned friend speaking),look, theres my car...the wheel's round u do i know its not an hologram

Flat Earth Q&A / Why your existance here, RE'ers, is futile.
« on: November 07, 2006, 09:51:19 AM »
i dont care about round earth or flat earth what i want to say is that i was reading this interesting post and noticed that in the beginning beast wasnt that bad of a "fe" she actually wanted proof and was willing to try out that little experiment and things seemed to be going okay then another one of her colleagues (bibicul) jumped in and started to take advantage of her doubt when she said "But how can I know that what you say you can see - you can actually see? Why should I trust you?". merley speculating on whats beast says as well as her personality i would say that she just wants proof and wants someone to tell her to prove it to her and is on the border of skepticsm and fanatacism which is good compared to most "fe" are simply being fanatacims. beast asks a lot of questions rather then argue which is good so overall if i had to pick the best "fe" i would choose beast and therefore nominate her for this years best flat earther award due to the fact that she is a skeptic rather then a fanatacist. im sure that if her and jay bird spent time together without interference from her group that theyd reach some understanding but let me end this post and have her get angry at this.

Flat Earth Q&A / The Fe's Dont have a leg to stand on
« on: November 07, 2006, 05:36:11 AM »
The logic behind most Fe arguments is "there is no proof to show otherwise this theory is incorrct and so therfor must be plausible. It doesnt work like that. Besides the fact of the thoudands of pictures and videos which you claim are false yet have no evidence to support, the whole logic is flawed. There is no proof to support that dragons never existed, so, if i were an Fe, i would argue they must have existed since you cant providev evidnece they dont, yet, this is self deafeating becuase one of the possibilites is that there are no evidence is becuase they in fact never did exist.

Bottomline: Fe's want us to show evidence on why dark matter, fe, etc cannot exist. Besides the fact of the pics and proven hypothesis which you guys deny, there might not be any evidence simply becuase IT DOESNT EXIST.

Everything is possible, does that make the impossible possible? But wouldnt that make this whoel statement into a paradox?

Flat Earth Q&A / THe burden of proof is on FE's
« on: November 05, 2006, 06:44:35 AM »
Many FE's use former advances in science to prove the fact that just becuase it sounds far out now, it might not be in the future. For instance, they might claim that Newton or Galileo sounded radical at the time and people tried to shut them up, yet their ideas are widely accepted now and so why shouldnt the FE theory?

Answer: In each of the cases above and in all cases of past histroy where the status quo was challenged, the challengers were the ones that offered substantiated and undeniable truth that completely discredited the current theory. FE's have not done that, all they have done is asked the status quo to be proven. When it is proven, they simply claim conspiracy or fake evidence. FE's havent a shred of evidence, conspiracy or not. Dark matter, wall of ice, flat earth..there nice opinions, but they arent backed up by anything provable since as soon as one tries to prove their statements, they cant be done since the gov't is agaisnt you, etc

Conclusion: The FE theory will never "be in the loop" cause their approach to get their views accepted is different than that of people before. The burden of  proof is on them because the round earth is the accepted TRUTH, not theory. So for all you FE's out there, ask not me to prove to you, but ask you what you can prove to us.

Besides, 1.2 Billion Chinese, and abut 3 Billion Asians believe in the Round Earth's simply mathematically improbable that, that many asians can be wrong...including myself

Flat Earth Q&A / Another "Hole" in the theory
« on: November 03, 2006, 09:03:59 AM »
You know, here might be a flaw in the flat earth theory...according to fe's, the earth is flat, so therefor, what is the thickness of the earth?..if it is flat, then there is a reverse underside to a sheet of paper, cant we theoretically drill through the earth and come out of the underside?..and if we did that underwater, would the water flow out into hole and come out the underside according to the gravity FE have in play? is it that the sun is orientated up above the flat earth...meaning, what is on the underside of the earth and why isnt the sun shining on that side...? By the way, you claim the earth is flat, do u also believe the sun is too or the moon and the other planets? to lazy to rad the faq

p.s.-whatever evidence u present against me...ill simply say its fake or works pretty effectively for fe's
