I did not lie not once did I mention a video, I mentioned that there is proof that two places moved because we saw them before the jolt and then after, surprise surprise after they had moved.
You misunderstood me and are trying to twist my words to degrade my argument, rather than admit you misunderstood me.

I am not the one using the Earth as a jigsaw puzzle. I am not the one ridiculously extrapolating continental "movement".

You are making no sense. "Settling" of the earth is movement. I just do not ascribe to the twisting and dancing of the continents around the world.

Well the actually move in straight lines in given directions away from the super continent they once combined to make. not quite twisting and dancing. Unless your favorite dance move is the straight line.

[interpreters note - Dr. Einholm says you are a liar. Actually I recall you mentioning you "saw" the movement. He is cursing in German (I think, I just speak Spanish and English). Once you lie to him he will not converse with you any more.]

The word 'saw' does not mean there is a video of it, if I had used the word 'filmed' then the meaning would be totally different.

Well they don't bend upwards and end up on the ceiling when you fire them at a wall.

So all you can say is that they don't bend by about a radian or more within a room, something nobody here is claiming.

My usual evidence would be that lasers fired accurately at mirrors placed on the moon, bounce back to the original destination.
But since you think the moon landings are fake, how did the mirrors on the moon that bounce back lasers get there?, we know they are there.

The least painful response is to inquire as to what empirical evidence exists that shows that light bends upward in the shape of a parabola.

Quite right but the response to that is almost certainly going to be:

Prove it doesn't, you can't make it happen right in front of me so therefore it must bend upward in the shape of a parabola.

Despite that they could just as easily be wrong as we can since they also provide no evidence.

What makes you think that the government knows that it has been infiltrated by the conspiracy?

Right so the guys at NASA don't notice that they actually aren't going into space, building satellites and landing on the moon and its all a set with green screens and cgi.
IF it's a conspiracy, they know about it.

I'm sure I've seen this posted somewhere before, that is clearly wrong because the earth is covered in man made light sources at night such as street lights, explain why you cannot see these in the darkened section of the earth?

The light bends upward, away from the observer.

Why do laser beams travel in straight lines then, surly that is proof that light travels in a straight line.

Once people start doing their little space tours, shouldn't we at least be able to see the ice wall as a whole? Also - we should be able to at least disprove the infinite plane idea, I would think.

One can only see the circular area of light upon the earth which the sun illuminates.

I'm sure I've seen this posted somewhere before, that is clearly wrong because the earth is covered in man made light sources at night such as street lights, explain why you cannot see these in the darkened section of the earth?

The brightness of the earth blots them out, just as it blots out the stars.

I'm not sure you quite understand this, it is the brightness of the sun witch blots out the stars during the daytime, due to the way it illuminates the earth.

If your theory is so the earth should appear to 'glow' and not be a set outline perfect circle.

Also when the sun is at an angle to the earth such as at sunset will why do you not see a stretched out oval shape illuminated?

Unfortunately gravity is another one of those scientifically accepted facts, unless you are planning on calling Einstein, one of the greatest scientists of the 20th century wrong, I believe you are the one that aught to be ashamed.

I don't have a video of plate moving but however it is obvious that's what caused the wave as freak waves don't come from nowhere, there has been activity in that area before and at the time of the disaster there was an earthquake there, coincidence and a magical wave from nowhere? I think not.
The area had been studied before the earthquake and there was no distortion in the ground, after there is several huge cliff faces where the plates moved.

Gravity is no magical force it has been explained very well, please don't try and say it hasn't I study Physics the FE's believe in Einsteins E=MC^2, energy and mass are interchangeable, energy travels in straight lines yet it poses wave quality's, this is as it distorts space around it in a wave like manor. Mass also poses this property it distorts space around it and other mass mass therefore is drawn towards it, think of it as two balls on a table cloth held up loosely at all 4 corners moving together, except space is in 3D.

Thus since all mass attracts other mass it clumps together in spherical shapes, the earth is simply a clump of mass.

The top scientists of 1400 agreed, fair enough today's top scientists proved them wrong, fair enough but the evidence of today is far more reliable using modern technology, future scientists may prove today's wrong but they wont say the earth is flat as that's already been proven wrong, and they wont disagree with tectonic plates as we have phsicaly seen the movements of tectonic plates, take the example of the boxing day tsunami they went underwater and found where the plates had jolted.

The fact that the Himalayas exist, and are measurably growing by about a centimetre a year, is a nice bit of extra evidence supporting continental drift.

Not to mention the mid-Atlantic rift that runs right through Iceland is measurably growing as well.

Thank you Robert, your post posits an interesting question. I fully rely on independently verifiable data from uninfluenced sources. I am aware that mountains "grow" although I see no correlation between the rising of a mountain and proof that continents dance to other sides of the world and, according to Thermal Detonator, twist and shout [interpreters note - he is referencing the song twist and shout while doing the dance].

Ever heard of the word sarcasm, Robert was pointing out how that's what allot of flat earth believers respond to facts like that in a sarcastic manor.
It is well established that the Himalayas grow.

Now I shall enlighten you as to why moving continents are related to rising mountains.

By looking at where earthquakes appear most frequently on a map you can see they form distinct lines, these are the boundaries of tectonic plates and earthquakes are caused by the friction and movement between them, mountains at boundaries are where the rock crushes together and forces upwards due to the pressure. By studying the movement of continents with lasers ect we can work out at which boundaries continents are moving towards each other and which apart, this correlates with mountain patterns, where continents move together there is always large mountain chains formed.

You guys are missing the point, when humans evolved at some stage they by chance would have had the combination of a good brain and (by chance) a lack of fur to keep warm, so they used that brain of theirs to wrap up in clothes (probably at the time animal skin) to stay warm, and as of then there was no need for humans to evolve fur as it is not needed in addition to clothes, by the time a human fur covered turned up (if) they where probably not accepted into society because over many generations humans have worn clothes.

Not relay, firstly there must be solid scientifically accepted proof that the earth is flat for that to apply.

Apparently the majority of FE believers are agnostic / atheist, despite the only method of formation I can imagine is the handywork of a god.

Thats what I was trying to point out. How can you have a world that could have never been formed?

Well they believe the earth is the center of the universe, so I'm guessing they imagine it started here and flew outwards, like the earth was the center of the big bang.

Of course it has been proven by telescope images that the earth is not where the big bank originated but one of the many insignificant blobs of rock that came as a result of it, pure chance that it could ever support life.

On them lines, what do the flat earth believers think towards life on other planets, could it exist, even if the planet is not flat?

I'm too slow that's exactly right, I was raising the general point that simple things such as this must have an explanation in such an advanced theory and I would like to learn what it is in order to help me understand the theory.

I'm sure we are all familiar with Google earth and Google maps, so I ask if the earth is flat, therefore satellites cannot exist, so how did Google get the millions of images required to build the representation of the earth.
And if you're going to say it was a airplane or a helicopter that flew over the whole earth, which in which I respect your opinion, could you please try and explain images like this:

Hi I'm new here to the forums and am looking forward to becoming a part of this community, however, currently I am in the belief that the earth is round, as I have been for all of my life, I'm open to the flat earth theory but I would like some help and explanation, please can I have so good scientific detail I won't settle for simple answers, I hope to see an intelligent angle on the flat earth theory from these answers.

1) If the earth is flat why can you see its curvature at altitudes (on airplanes) and at the coast on clear days.

2) Surly some objects with cameras or people have been into space that's not a hoax by now and would have brouhaha back definitive proof that the earth is flat.

3) Based on your model of why things go down and explanation of gravity what are comets and meteorites?

4) What causes global warming/climate change and how specifically does it affect the flat earth.

5) What would be the point in keeping it a secret from the general population that the earth is flat, given that's what humanity thought in the first place.

6) If the earth is flat why should I belive it if everyone else thinks it's round, to avoid pointless arguing and confusion should I not just learn to live with the round theory.
