How fast did you mine Bitcoins, Rushy?

~0.1 a day.
Are you saying you mine a $1200 bitcoin every 10 days or so?

Quote from: http://www.bitcoinanswers.co.uk/q/answers-how-long-does-it-usually-take-to-mine-a-bitcoin-block-13161.html
For solo mining with a single GTX 680, which will produce 120 Mhashes/s, you would expect to find one block approximately every 98 years.
And my understanding is that you have to mine in blocks of 50.

I think you should offer some extra explanation as opposed to letting people assume you make $100 a day from mining ... which you don't.

There is a hell of a correction on the way.
People (including myself) said the same when it bubbled up to 100 USD/BTC. So far, this doesn't seem to be happening.
I don't know when, but it will. I'm gonna plump for the gold price. If it doesn't stop there, I'd guess it'll be due to something the Federal Reserve regarding legislation.

I hadn't seen the long range. There is a hell of a correction on the way. Who knows where? Could be when it gets to the same price as gold.

But all the money made has to come from someone, and right now, its from those who are last in.

Mum, girl friend and two sisters, all hard to buy for.

Clothes are a no no (I can guarantee I'll get it wrong, I've been moaned at many many times)

Perfume (same reason as above)

Jewelry (see above)

Things for hobbies (They don't have any. I bought an easel for my girl friend a few years ago, it's still in the loft unused)

Asking other girls for advice (I did this once and bought some smelly bath things. They've never been used and I got moaned at)

Asking what they want and trying to get some hints from them (They don't even know what they want so how the hell should I know?)

Seriously it's a bloody nightmare

Girlfriend - Take her somewhere romantic. that's investing both your time and money.
Sisters - Send them to me.
Mother-  Send her to Markjo.

A very merry christmas will be had by all.

http://bitcoinity.org/markets/mtgox/USD

As I read this a bitcoin is $1214 and an ounce of gold is $1252.

Two things.
The first prediction is that $1252 is going to be an artificial ceiling for the bitcoin. It will 'test' that number for a while as traders get nervous by that figure. After a few atempts it will break through and surge past.

The second is that this is absolute madness. I can make a demand on that gold any time I like and have the little shiny thing in my hand. You can't do that with a bitcoin.

This reminds me of iTunes and Amzon books etc. If you can't hold it in your hand, its not yours. You are merely renting that bitcoin from the exchange. You don't own it. There is nothing of value to own. I don't really understand how the market will reconcile this fact once it becomes apparent to everyone using it. I suspect collapse.

Its interesting, but not something I'd be interested in.

It is a bit of a pyramid scheme. You start with a few people who own a lot of bitcoins. the value goes up as more and more people want to own them. But there will come a time when that declines as will the value of bitcoin. Its growth in value is purely driven at present, by exponential demand. Its new so traders will use it, but it doesn't have the lustre of gold or the reassuring jingle of silver. Its more of an experiment into greed, trust, irrationality and manipulation of the stock exchange.

I'd only be more frightened for you, if you told me you were allowing African immigrants to cum in your arse.

This reminds me of the time Parsifal bought a Chinese laptop. No good can come of this. 2 billion Chinese people will be watching you whilst you sleep ... and beating off.  >:(

Bonus points if you create a special usegroup to stop markjo and Thork from posting in that thread

Fuck it ... "lol penis"

Whilst my patience for Davis, Daniel et al is at an all time low and I can't take this part of the forum seriously because it is long since defunct, I do observe some of its more basic rules.

In other news this site has taken a massive hit in the google rankings recently. Assuming you aren't being bubbled by google, you can expect to see the alaska.net site, an article from the Guardian, Thomas Dolby's site and many others above this one. In fact its down to 7th on Bing as well.
This is what happens when you generate no new content and do not update and maintain your site.

I'm sure the guys at the NSA watch far more porn than anyone else. this is their policy? What they do after spending billions of your tax dollars on spying? They tell tales on people who have been looking at naughty sites? What a bunch of saddos.

I seriously hope that you and Parsifal never get jobs that require you to actually be helpful to people.
I already have two jobs that require me to be helpful to people. I'm unhelpful to you because you spent years being unhelpful to me and everyone else here. :-*

This, except I only have one job that requires me to be helpful to people.
Are you still doing favours for sailors?   >:(

There was a time when FES hinged around my very presence.
::)

there were reddit threads about me...
There are also reddit threads about NAMBLA.  Are you admitting to loving little boys?

You only really saw the arse end of my narcissistic reign of terror.
Meh.  You were interesting, that is about it.

Mostly down to how bad the site is run.
Not going to try to argue that.

What have you contributed?
Not much.  I spend time online during the week trying to keep things clean.  Less time on the weekends.  I help out noobs on occasion, and other times I make them cry.  I've met some good people here, and one amazing one.  Good enough for me.
So nothing that competes with the rage smiley? >o< Noted.

Oh, no, not even close.  The rage smiley is a pillar of the FES community.
My username is now an expletive! So Th*rk you!

I contributed.  :'(

I've put over 13,000 posts into FES. I know FET as well as anyone here. And yet I'm also shunned by the establishment. Don't take it personally. When they pick Jroa over me, you know they haven't got a clue.

Yes, I have been drinking. Th*rk you all!  >o<

Please, tell us more about how much you have contributed.
There was a time when FES hinged around my very presence. Fortunately I don't need that any more and I post way less. And I invented the rage smiley!  >o<

Why would you want to be a mod? All you get is people bitching about your use of powers (whether too much or too little), and all you do is ban spam bots and make Thork moist. Worst job ever.

Some of us like making Aevan moist.  Personally I wish I could do it all day long.
Wow. Awkward.

I was here for a little over a year when I became a Curator and 6 months later, I was a mod.

I don't suppose the mods would like to consider banning the user below?

I don't think they are adding very much to the society.

Parsifal is a linux user. His behaviour is very typical of Linux users. That is why desktop Linux failed horribly. Because those who could, wouldn't share.

PS: I am not going to the casting call.

Why?

What have you got to lose?
A lot of time and possibly my dignity. My local news channel said they were turning away anyone outside of the age ranges, but I really doubt that's true. On the website they never specifically say the person has to be the age of the character. But if it is true that's an even bigger reason not to go.

But the reason to go out ways all of that.

You might look like a prat in front of some people you're likely to never meet again. It's really not that big a deal.
The odds of me getting a role in a Star Wars movie are ridiculous. In would really only serve to feed a childish dream.

And, if I really really feel the need to audition I can send in a video with me reading some lines from the provided script.
Do it for the fun of the audition. Not to get the part. How cool to watch the film and see an actress and think many years later "I auditioned for that role". It'll be full of other eager geeks and I'm sure a lot of fun and camaraderie.

They are running auditions all over the world.

I found out yesterday that pubic lice are almost extinct. In the last decade women shaving and waxing their pussies has force the little mites into decline.

http://www.handbag.com/life/news/a496434/how-sex-and-the-city-won-the-war-against-pubic-lice.html

Mankind has ruined their habitat. More must be done to save them. Women must grow lush bushy forests for them to dwell in. We can't keep destroying all of God's creatures. Why are the public not standing up for this poor animal?

I suggest the site is upgraded to the latest version of SMF. (2.0.6)

I know this won't happen. It's impossible and we don't have the resources or time or enough small children to sacrifice to the internet.

Any other time, I'd consider it a compliment as much as a girl hitting on me.

Yes, but you're a weirdo.
this made me laugh and laugh.  :D

25
The turning point was when I was cast assunder.

A motivated Thork would have had this forum in ship-shape.

Instead Davis waved his tiny manhood about and then went back to doing absolutely nothing.

Nothing will happen Saddam. The people with all the power over this forum have lost interest but they absolutely will not pass the society on. Its incredibly selfish.

Being insecure or angry towards a gay guy could be a sign that you're afraid of being gay yourself.
I'm pretty comfortable with myself. I am what I am. Its not perfect but I know my own mind. If I was gay, I'd just be gay. I wouldn't hide it. I don't think I know a single person who would actually give a crap. My family would be fine. My friends wouldn't care. My boss wouldn't care. We have a gay guy in the office who lives with his boyfriend. No one at work cares.

One of my best friends is gay. He hits on me for fun, but its not awkward because its not ambiguous. We both know the score. I feel sorry for him because he hasn't had a boyfriend in ages. He's a really nice guy. But I don't want to think about what he'd get up to. Its ok not to like what gays do. I joke with him that he's sick and suggest cures for him all the time. He jokes back that I'm only ever 4 pints away from sleeping with him. But he's allowed to. He's my friend. He's not a stranger in a bar. He doesn't try to ogle my dick. He doesn't keep trying to put his hands on me or get touchy feely. And he is really funny. We have a similar dry sense of humour.

He's one of only about 3 people who stayed my friend when I became ill and spent 3 years in my bedroom. I didn't see him much (he lived in Dubai during that time anyway), but he waited it out until I felt well. No one else did.

Do I like homosexuality? No. Am I homophobic? Nope. Its not the same thing.

Assuming he was nice, I don't see why his appearance would really affect how much I'd want to hang out with him. ???
Are you saying that you would not make an extra effort to spend time with someone you found attractive?
