Flat Earth Q&A / Re: Where's my telescope?
« on: May 22, 2008, 08:03:38 AM »
I worked with Dynacon and the CSA to build a space imaging satellite for the University of British Columbia. I was the systems engineer and had my hand in several electrical systems on the telescope. It was delivered to sun-synchronous orbit in 2003 out of Plesetsk. After successful launch one of the first things we did was image it from the earth. Though it is extremely small it can be viewed through a telescope from Earth. It is in a polar orbit and passes over antarctica (98.7deg). I can't tell you that I've witnessed it do this by any tangible means but I can tell you that we don't lose communication with it. If the satellite disappeared below the plane of a flat earth then communication would be impossible due to the Earth acting as a giant ground plane, preventing microwave propagation. If it orbits like you guys say the sun does on your faq then the entire camera pointing system is designed completely wrong and we wouldn't be able to produce stable images of stars. I don't care to try to convince anyone that the earth is not flat. I am just curious.....if the Earth is flat then where is my telescope? ....or at what point in my education or career as an engineer did I become part of a conspiracy?

Proof please

"Read the FAQ"
...
"Victory for FE" comes in a close second.

Why not answer a freaking question instead of passing the buck to the FAQ, it definitely doesn't answer everything, at least not thoroughly. Some people are willing to convert to FE, and they just want more detailed explanations, but you people are too lazy to type them out.

What's supposed to happen next...hmm...Oh yes! Someone quote my post and edit it to make it look like I said I have sex with my grandmother! Then say "victory for FE!"

um okay now that one doesn't even make sense

Some brain tumors can cause one to no longer act as themself, they lose self control and other things. It does make a bit of sense.

Eat that, cosmologists! Another win for FE!

Actually, FE has nothing to do with why black holes can't logically exist. It's a logical conclusion based on Hawking Radiation.

Who needs logic when we have the bible!

Noah the water fairy!
Jesus, the David Blaine of Egypt!

Flat Earth Q&A / Re: conspiracies...
« on: May 20, 2008, 05:50:55 AM »
How can you in your most wildest fantasy belive that all the governments all over the world had agreed on a conspiracy to lure all the people.  I think u have missed a very importent part,  the governent in most countries are made of normal people just like me and all the others NON FE-belivers.
Do not never forget that WE are the government.  And if your theory would be truth it would have to be hundreds of thousands people working on this 24/7 to make it all work.   And how do you think that number of people could keep their mouth shut? Or do u maybe have any "inside information"?  ;) ;) :P

And a simple question, how far is it from the closest place on land to the so called "ice-wall"?  Answer me!

'Lureing' people is not the goal
It wont have to be goverments all over the world, since many surpress their people enough already, and some are barely goverments (Africa)
The goverment made of normal people? George Bush has never experienced life outside the whitehouse or what it is like to be poor. one example.
We are the goverment? you what? do you understand how politics, or the voteing system, works?
Hundreds of thousands of people? ever heard of technology?
They dont have to keep their mouths shut if they are told nothing. There are plenty of soldiers that have been told to guard a patch of land.

and to htink, im a RE. Dam.

I was a devout Christian up until about a year ago, and I became agnostic, and then an atheist. I make it seem so sudden, but it really wasn't.

sudden? a year? not really :)

Language and communication i believe is the key, and the fact humans have vocal cords. Man can pass down complex instructions and ideas to one another through explenation aswell as physically showing one another.

It has also allowed people to warn of dangers accuratly, explain problems, give us true social lives, and allow us to better ourselves.

Notice how the creatures people consider the most 'lowly' are the ones with hte least amount of communication between them. Monkeys have a basic level of community, whereas snails are dumb as shit.

I'm allergic to dyhydrogen-oxide. :( It makes it real hard to get my fix every day.
Being allergic to water seems quite impossible. Sorry.

There are currently 6 people here in the UK allergic to water. Its a rare condition but does exist. they can still drink it, but it causes their skin to blister if they touch it.

I love how newspapers like to make an article proclaiming that a bunch of insane scientists just wanna fire it up and see what happens while one "sane" man is suing the government to get it stopped. Lol.

of course, any religious person would do their best to stop it, it scares them to think that their beliefs are becomeing less concrete every day.
No, one scientist that believes a black hole will be created and destroy the earth. Also this will in no way disprove god. Please shut up.

i never said it would disprove god.

the more things we explain with science, the more things we know about, the less we can say 'it must be god' about.

please calm the fuck down :)

Celts = Badass.
French = Girly-men.
Interesting fact about the british, they were driven there out of france by the current french. Then taken over by a french king.

And they claim they aren't pussies.
.. ANd yet if it wasent for the french helping undermine the english, the USA would not have united states.
But in several hundred years they would have had no one to bail their asses out of WWII. How long did it take Germany to reach Paris anyone?

typical of America, do nothing untill their own economy is in danger. I wont deny they where dam helpful, but the fact they where fresh and able to rape a depleted Japan (and later Germany) sure helped.
Trick question 2nd part, they dident have to.
Gotta love the french forward defence though: leave holes in the dam thing

To give them credit, you can put words in any order, however obscene it is, so long as its clear which words you are using as your verb/noun and so on. You can use you own name as an adjective and it would be perfectly accepable, since grammar isnt as concrete as spelling.
But this STILL hurts my eyes

Oh, dammit you guys now I have to stay. And you were so close to getting rid of me. And besides, I won, not you wierdos. No one could prove my point wrong so therefore I won.

your a little child fiddler who eats dogsh!t for breakfast and likes to nibble your dads privates.

you cant prove my point wrong so therefore i won.

Well obviously you're trying to pin the things you do on me.

And the point no one could prove wrong was why earthquakes are felt the way they are. You have an earthquake on one side of the planet and it is felt on the other side. In round Earth there is a real easy explanation, but no flat earth explanation.

no, i was just proveing that your reasoning is a fail. As is your ability to notice such.

And lets not forget that britan was, at that time, a mixture of celt/roman/viking/welsh.

and yes, a french king did successfully invade, but it was a race for succession, and parts of Britan gave him their full support.
