I saw a headline about 4500 tips but it didn't say much about what those tips were.

I'm not sure at this point if there's much depth to this story.

But it doesn't matter much. The three remaining liberals of the scotus are 1000 years old and refuse to retire. Because that strategy worked out great for RBG. I fully expect President mtg to appoint a 9 0 conservative Supreme Court in 2025.

The reporting seems to be focussed on the confirmation hearings,  that's unlikely to lead to impeachment unless it can be proved he lied under oath..
What's interesting is the reaction from Trump after the supreme court didn't magically overturn the 2020 election...  :)

After 40 years of hearing Trump talk a big game but hardly back anything up with substance, you are going to suddenly believe his words?  The more likely interpretation is Trump thinks by appointing him to the Supreme Court that Kavanaugh owes him, and not that he actually did anything other than listen to the Federalist Society on who to appoint.  Kavanaugh seemed to have been living just fine prior to his appointment, I doubt he would have had any issues had he never been nominated.

Yes, I took it as just more Trump hyperbole.

It's not a case of suddenly believing Trump,  it's more a case of pointing out that Trump is letting people know that Kavanaugh is compromised.  I would have thought it's more indication that someone used Trump to buy themselves a Supreme Court Justice.  The question is who owns Kavanaugh?

Wow, I don't think that is free speech either. More like a conspiracy to make people afraid of the Pfizer vaccine. I hope they investigate "Fazze" and find out who is really behind all of it.

Serious questions remain unanswered about how Kavanaugh got on the Supreme Court.

Who convinced Kennedy to retire?   

What was Kennedy's son doing working for Deutsch Bank approving Trump loans?

Who paid Kavanaugh's $200,000 credit card debt?

Why did the FBI drop their investigation during the confirmation hearings?

How long before he get a chance to drink another beer?

Will he ultimately get impeached?

Dave you can come to Chicago and talk to any cop, even non white cops and they will tell you what they think of Lori Lightfoot and the nightmare she has created here. Cops are not overworked, they are being restricted from enforcing the law, their hands are tied, this is why Chicago is a mess. And yes Kim Fox, Cook County States Attorney stated that any theft under a thousand dollars will not be prosecuted. Look this up man.

Now what economic system do I like? Well honestly I don't know. I don't like Capitalism because too many people are alienated and exploited and I don't like Socialism because it creates big government that eventually also exploits you.

It's been many years since I was in Chicago,  I remember the racial tension that seemed to be everywhere. 

Back then, white people mostly only went to the heavily guarded Renaissnace Center,  dunno what it's like these days, but back then it was depressing to see downtown shops deserted and boarded up.

I'm seeing a pattern.  The Biden administration brainstorms a solution to a problem.  The most extreme nutjobs on the right take it to a ridiculous conclusion.  Biden gives up on the idea.

Vaccine passports.  I don't know if this was something Biden seriously considered.  I think someone floated in a press conference or something.  Then Ron Desantis starts passing legislation banning vaccine passports.

It's possible that the government is overstepping their bounds with Facebook.  But if it's people like the Jewish space laser lady claiming it then I'm a little skeptical.

The GOP will then react and campaign against voting.   Game Over!

As an example,  Australia ranks 21st in GDP per capita with $53,831  Russia ranks  57th with $10,846 per capita.  USA is 13th with $59,939.

So,  if the country is on average dirt poor, how come there are so many Russian Billionaires?

They botched (deliberately or otherwise) the transition from communism to capitalism.  As I understand it, shares in newly privatized industries were given to workers, but there was general chaos and massive shortages of things people needed to get by.  So most regular people had to flog off their assets super cheap just to survive.  A few people in privileged positions basically hovered up everything.


There was never any Communism, not in Russia China or Cuba. Communist party has nothing to do with what Communism is. No country on Earth ever had anything close resembling Communism. Please Read the works of Karl Marx before making stupid uneducated claims. Soviet Union was Socialist dictatorship never Communist and before 1917 Russian Empire was capitalist. That is it.

Correct.  There has never been a pure communist government anywhere in the world.   Crazy as it seems,  Abraham Lincoln came close to the declaration when he said that
"... that this nation, under God, shall have a new birth of freedom—and that government of the people, by the people, for the people, shall not perish from the earth."

Try telling someone that is pure communist ideology.   

I'm not against free enterprise capitalism,  but it needs to be a level playing field.

Lots of misinformation in there, like forgetting to mention that Fusion GPS was initially hired by Republicans, and Democrats started working with them a few months later. It's all a complicated mess, but calling it purely Democrat opposition research is just false.

It's also an outright lie that the FBI investigated the collusion solely on the Steel dossier. I could go on, but there are just far too many lies and disinformation in there to list.

But it's a good idea of how the average conservative thinks, or has been led to think.

I read that blog post,  it's 99% garbage and outright lies.   He missed the fact that Carter Page ( Trump's foreign policy advisor ) was under suspicion of being a Russian agent. He also forgot to mention that his campaign leader Manafort was constantly feeding confidential campaign information to a known Russian Agent Konstantin Viktorovich Kilimnik.

Anyone who has actually read the Mueller Report would understand that they had Trump dead to rights as far as obstruction goes, but chose not to prosecute and instead leave it to congress to impeach.  Congress dropped the ball on impeachment because of the Republican stranglehold on the Senate. 

Some future historian will get his pHD writing about the failure of the Senate to convict even when the evidence was overwhelming.

Here is my uninformed opinion,  feel free to put it with all the other uninformed opinions...

When the Australian Government called for an enquiry into the origins of Covid-19,  the Chinese responded with furious rhetoric and slapped Australian products with crippling import duties,  then proceeded to slander Australians generally in their social media and all sorts of crazy over the top propaganda.

Why?

Seems to me they are overly defensive about the origins of Covid-19,  attacking anyone and everyone who tries to get information.

They also tried in the early stages to cover it up, and persecuted journalists and doctors who tried to raise the alarm.   I guess nobody likes bad news.

My conclusion is that the Chinese Government is still in cover-up mode.  But rather than covering up evil intent, they are covering up incompetance.

The best thing Biden has going for him is that he's not a corrupt criminal con-man who owes 100's of millions to the Russian Mob.  Plus he doesn't give cushy jobs to his kids and put some obscure wedding planner into top governent jobs.   Although it's apparently Trump standard practice to promote people into positions that they aren't qualified for so that they owe a debt of loyalty to Trump to keep their positions.


That aside.  I think Biden is failing to get his agenda passed through a Senate that's becoming more like a Qanon convention with every passing day.

I got 5 GOP emails today,  all promising to stop those radical communists and pleading for cash..

The playlist was hysterical- Some of the classic rock tunes that people on Twitter have pointed out are Pink Floyd's 1973 song "Brain Damage"; and Elton John's hits "Candle in the Wind," "Goodbye Yellow Brick Road" and "Funeral for a Friend/Love Lies Bleeding" (played after Donald Trump, Jr.'s speech), which are all from 1973's Goodbye Yellow Brick Road.
