Flat Earth Debate / Re: Coriolis force proves Spherical Earth

7/16 is a fraction, in case you didn't know. Also, on most keyboards, there is more of a space between the "A" key and the caps lock key.
My Caps Lock key is literally about 2mm from my A key.
i guess I use a different keyboard then you do.
I'd love to see it.

I wouldn't call that 7/16 in. >_>

NOTE: Picture is not to scale.

I'm pretty sure a trip to this "ice wall" could convince me.
You mean Antarctica?
Yeah, I meant Antartica. I wrapped "ice wall" in quotes for a reason.
So... a trip to Antarctica would convince you?
No, what I was trying to say was "If Antartica is really a big wall, then I'd be convinced that the Earth is flat.

I actually have been wanting to OWN a copy of this book. But then I realized that all of this "get the book" is a truly brilliant marketing technique. Fascinates me.

I know this post is probably a joke, but I have never seen it from that way. That sounds a lot like something that could really happen.

Leave.

So your response to a thread about Coriolis force is "Leave." That is probably the most half-assed attempt at making a point. Why would you tell him to leave? This thread raises a legitimate question.

I liked the faq, and how it pretty much said this:

Q: What about the photos from space?
A:Conspiracy!

Q:What about other nations' space programs?
A: They're in the conspiracy, too!

Q:but the nations aren't all organized!
A: They just look like that to trick you into believing that the Earth is round!

Q:But why would they do all that just to make us think that the Earth is round?
A:MONEY!!

Peter Moore joined the Flat Earth society as a joke.

Max Theiler developed the vaccine for the Yellow fever.

Daniel Bovet discovered antihistamines.

Revolutionized archeology by discovering radiocarbon dating

I'd assume that by "modern" you mean between 1900-now.
