Flat Earth Q&A / Re: Riddle me this FE People
« on: March 11, 2007, 11:56:21 AM »

Your double standards sicken me.

You claim you want firm proof that the earth is round, yet when this guy asks a question that can debunk your theory (And I use the term theory lightly, since you have no firm experimental evidence to prove it), you will, rather than answer him with a scientific reason, you just say "No.".

So please explain to me why it wouldn't of burnt out by now.
Why should I bother? Our friend Plidan here didn't offer even the slightest shred of evidence to support his claim that it should have burnt out by now.

OH! I see! Rather than try to prove your theory to me, you will simple fob me off in a way that makes me think you're just incredibly fickle.

Yet my questions goes unanswered.

I will ask again:

Give me a firm reason why the sun would not have burnt out by now, when if it was the size you claim it is, it would have done so.

The sun is supposedly composed of hydrogen and other mass amounts of gass's to ensure it would  last along time as do stars
If its small...Would it not have burn't out by now?

In all honesty, I never believed the FE theory, until this snippet of information was revealed. Charles died in poverty, obviously disproving years of advanced technological proof of the earth's spherical geometry.

I'm glad you've finally seen through the round earth brainwashing and have realized the truth.

Oh...wow. I did not think it was possible to feel even more contempt towards your stupidity, but that response to the most obvious bit of sarcasm did it. I feel even less inclined to believe what you say now, which is a feat in itself.

Until you hit the ice wall, I take it ;)

Just a generic name for whatever it is were accelerating through. I mean is it really space since humanity doesn't really have any or much knowledge of whats beyond the atmosphere, right?

Depends on who you ask.

Flat Earth Q&A / Re: A few questions about FE
« on: March 10, 2007, 02:54:16 PM »
I have a couple of questions about the FE theory:

1: If, as you say, there is a conspiracy to keep this information hidden from us, when did it start? It is impossible, totally, and utterly impossible, for any sort of conspiracy to of existed in the middle ages, as the world was in no way unified to make guarding a wall that follows the circumference of the earth possible.
Most likely whenever scientists and government officials discovered that Earth was actually flat.
Erm, hello, there have been people saying the earth is flat since the Mesopotamians. In the 4th/3rd Century BC. They would not have the means, nor the want to defend the ice wall.

Quote
2: In regards to that, since this conspiracy can't have existed forever, why is there no evidence of an ice wall in any form of literature that predates 1884 (In fact, a conspiracy would still not be possible then)?
There has been. Every mention of Antarctica talks about the ice wall.
No, they have discussed huge mounds of ice. If they were scaled, they would lead to more vast planes of ice.

3: If the main money maker of this conspiracy is NASA, then why would countries such as N. Korea, Iran, China and until 1991, the Soviet Union, guard this wall to make America money?
NASA isn't the main money maker.
Then who is?

4: If the earth is traveling upwards, what is propelling it? If it were some sort of star or black hole pulling us up, the gravity would not remain nice and constant, it would gradually increase, and we would've noted this.
The force accelerating us upwards has been given the plaeholder name of dark energy, also called the UA (Universel Accelerator).
Oh, please, do explain how this works...

5: What is the sky?
What you see when you look up.
Nice question dodging. I mean what is the sky if the earth is flat. Is it a disk, a sphere enveloping the earth?

6: Why haven't we been charred to a crisp by the sun? At the distance you say it is from earth, it would kill everyone and destroy everything on the planet, cause rock to heat into magma, and boil off the oceans almost instantly.
The Sun and moon are both much, much smaller than they are in the RE theory.
It would still produce IMMENSE amounts of heat

EDIT: 7: The common consensus is that the universe is finite. Why have we not yet smacked into the edge of it?
Because the whole thing is accelerating up with us.

Not possible. Lets assume the universe to be a big hollow ball full of stars and planets and such. What goes on inside it, only happens inside it. The outside doesn't follow the sam rules of physics, so it would remain stationary.

Flat Earth Q&A / Question for non-FE'ers
« on: March 10, 2007, 02:45:43 PM »
I want to know if any of you are willing to sign up to this pact:

If, and only if, the FE'ers manage to provide proof of a Flat earth, true, irrefutable evidence of a flat earth (a real photo of the ice wall, a picture from space showing the flat earth, etc), then we all agree to congregate at the ice wall, scale it, then jump off of it into the abyss. Frankly, I'd prefer that to living in a world where FE'ers are right.

Who's with me?

Sorry for Double Post, but I have another question

8: If the ice wall is holding the water in, what held it in before it formed? Since the earth used to be molten, it clearly couldn't exist then, and how would it have formed without water? So SOMETHING must have held the water in before it formed, so what was it?

My assumption is  that they'd be the same.

But then knowing the bollocks spewed on this site, they'll probably say that they're about 10 foot above us and the size of ants or something...

Yes, I noticed that they do that a lot.

I'll just need to keep badgering.
