in the last couple of months. Has the argument for FE been revolutionized? Have RE'ers converted any FE'ers over? Has anything interesting happened on this site? Or has it been infected with people that have the sole objective to gain the highest post count?

Flat Earth Q&A / Height of the Ice Wall
« on: March 07, 2007, 01:43:45 PM »
I have a question for FE, how did the Ice wall get to be 150 ft or so? What caused it to build such height?

Another question is that, how do you know it is roughly 150ft? I don't believe any of you have seen it.

Philosophy, Religion & Society / Reason for Religion
« on: March 05, 2007, 04:03:37 PM »
In my own personal philosophy, I believe that the main purpose of Religion was to fill the gap us humans have in the understanding of infinity/forever.

If a humans could actually understand infinity/forever (probably lead a person to insanity) there wouldn't be a need for religion. Religion fills the questions humans have about how the universe was created, but if humans understood infinity we could grasp the concept that matter could have been present in the universe forever. The Big Bang also has the same principal behind it as it states that the universe has a beginning.

An explanation towards why humans cannot grasp the concept of infinity, accurately, is that the things we see around us always have a beginning and the end; why does the universe have to apply to these same rules though? Could the universe not have evolved from a singular structure to a greater expanse as we know the universe today? I believe that this is the simplest explanation of the universes origins, not to bash religions.

Discuss.

Flat Earth Q&A / Anger (Not Rant)
« on: February 25, 2007, 03:21:21 PM »
The main root of problem in the FE theory is the basic and most primal of human urges. To successfully keep the Earth from being widely accepted as flat, all governments would have to get in accordance with one another, which we all know is impossible. If one country was to "spill the beans" of the Earth being flat to the public, what would stop it from spreading to the USA or other countries. There is no treaty we have with all countries that states that none of them can tell the public about the Earth being flat.

Know explain how this is plausible?

Flat Earth Q&A / How do I know...
« on: February 25, 2007, 02:34:17 PM »
That the FE'ers are created by the government to create doubt in our minds about the RE theory to create a helpless feeling in us and create a complex of insecurity leading to putting all of our trust in them???

Please do not give the infamous FE response to questions they can't answer (eg. "Its fake," and "i have no rational response to your question therefore I am concluding its fake because... I say so.")

Flat Earth Q&A / Phenomenon of Falling
« on: February 25, 2007, 02:21:41 PM »
A question directed to FE'ers: If acceleration is acting as a sort the force holding us onto Earth, why when we break that connection (eg. Jumping) do we fall back towards the Earth? It seems as if we would indefinitely drift in a separate plane, above the ground. This cannot (or not rationally) be explained by air resistance in your theory, because by jumping we would go faster upward than the flow of air resistance downward, nothing would force you back to the ground therefore no falling.
