Flat Earth Debate / Ships get lower on horizon
« on: October 01, 2007, 03:33:34 PM »
What about how when the ships go over the horizons, they actually descend, get lower, and not just get more and more covered up? They don't just get covered up, but they actually get lower.

I know I'll get the usual copy and paste response from Tom, but what do the rest of 'yall think?

Just the musings of a tired mind here.

Flat Earth Debate / Flight Times
« on: July 30, 2007, 07:25:53 AM »
This is for nobody but you Tom.

You claim that the reason that the enlarged distance that is described by the FET in the southern Hemisphere is not noticed by airline pilots due to the slipstreams that they apparently enter without knowing it and are travelling at hundreds of miles per hour.

There are problems with this:
1. Slip streams don't travel at hundreds of miles per hour. THis means that the flight times would hardly be altered, at least not by many hours.

2. There are an equal amount of flight delays in the northern hemisphere as in the southern hemisphere.

3.The airline pilots would know they had entered the slipstream. This means that they would be able to enter this into their calculations for how long it will take them to reach their destination. Since they know this, they would know that it would shorten their flight times. I am sorry, there was a point here, but I lost it. If someone could take this up for me that knows what they're doing, thanks.

ANswers to the first two?

Flat Earth Debate / Anything besides Gravity wrong with RE?
« on: July 07, 2007, 01:49:43 PM »
Ok Tom, since you won't listen to reason, I have one question for you.

Is there anything else, besides the fact that we haven't discovered the mechanism for gravity yet, that detracts from the RE model?

I expect that your only response will be something already described a thousand times, but go on...

The Lounge / Oh dear god, people like this still exist?

I just died a little there. Make that alot. This is perhaps the most insulting, disgusting, and ancient way of thinking that I have ever seen. I now respect these forums more because I though that Tom and company were alone in their ancient ways of thinking...

For those that are easily insulted, do not click.

Am I the only one that is totally freaked out by the massive amount of new SPAM threads?

Hehe, this is one too.

Flat Earth Debate / Conspiracy Evidence, not a noob
« on: June 15, 2007, 08:24:07 PM »
Hey y'all, I know you what you might be a thinkin': What the heck is another nooblet doing posting another useless thread about evidence for the conspiracy.

So, here's my question (for those that are total idiots and haven't already figured it out): Is there any hard evidence for the Conspiracy? Not the burning of the library and other non-facts, but actual hard proof, documents, and other things.

Oh, and Tom, stay the heck out of here unless you have actual evidence.

Flat Earth Debate / Anything that will prove it?
« on: May 10, 2007, 08:11:46 PM »
I have stopped posting recently due to the bull-headedness of most FE'ers, but recently I was wondering something...

What  could prove that the Earth is Round to those like Tom who disbelieve anything?

This is an honest question that I don't expect an honest answer to.

Bye.

Flat Earth Debate / If the Earth moves...
« on: May 10, 2007, 08:04:20 PM »
http://curious.astro.cornell.edu/question.php?number=190

This site gives some information about proof that the Earth actually moves, which seems to corralate to the fact that the Earth is round, or the modern FE theory is wrong and they have to start from scratch (I dunno, either one).

No, I want no responses asking if I can do these proofs on these forums to prove this information. You have this thing called the internet that you can use to look them up and plug in the numbers (I'm looking at YOU Tom).

Enjoy.

Flat Earth Q&A / Proof of a FE
« on: April 20, 2007, 02:20:26 PM »

I have found absolute proof that the Earth is flat.

I used to be a non-believer, but now I Know.

 :P

Did anyone believe that?

Is this site real?

If it is, what are some of your reactions upon seeing it?

Flat Earth Q&A / Occam's Razor
« on: April 04, 2007, 01:21:33 PM »
Ok, Occam's Razor, if there are two answers the simplest is right.
1. The earth is round and it goes around the sun.
2. The earth is flat, it is constantly accelerating upwards at 1g, the Sun and Moon are giant spotlights, and a giant Icewall holds everything in and somehow holds the atmosphere in with methods unkown.

Hmm?

And please, no going off topic, I am trying to be serious here.

Flat Earth Q&A / Prove it
« on: February 26, 2007, 07:03:30 PM »
Can anyone offer me undeniable proof that the Earth is flat? Everywhere I look, it is simply FE'ers saying that videos and pictures are stupid and every photo ever made is fake. I have yet to see any proof that the world is flat. Give me some.
