CURVATURE IMPLEMENTATION
An essential feature of the main linac is its curvature.  With the curvature radius of the Earth’s surface of ∼6400 km and the linac length of ∼12 km the maximum trajectory sagitta is about 2.8m.

So on a flat earth the ends of the SLAC are buried deeper below the surface than the center?

But perhaps even more striking is what you see when you look at the planet Venus. Taken over the course of a few months, you can see the individual phases of Venus, which go all the way from crescent to full.



Both heliocentric and geocentric models will allow Venus to run the full gamut of phases. But you’ll notice something with a telescope that you’d never notice without one: Venus appears much larger when it’s at its “new” phase and much smaller at its “full” phase.

How does Venus change size in FET when at any particular 24 hour period it is the same size when viewed from anywhere on earth? Is it moving up and down relative to the earth in FET? I'm FE so don't pounce on me, I just don't get it I guess.
