Flat Earth General / Gunnar makes top 100
« on: February 16, 2015, 11:12:48 PM »
Gunnar Prehl, the cook from Cairns made it through to the next round.
Congratulations Gunner.
Gunnar said today in an interview once again, that he has stuck to his diet of no processed food and vigorous exercise which helped make top 100.
He said his mum knew nothing about the Mars trip until yesterday, and he also said she is not happy with him at the moment. Never mind.
Any way's, here is a little snippet of what we are in for.

Why don't Flat Earthers have the ability to think of this?

Flat Earth Debate / Can a belief be so strong it clouds your vision?
« on: April 06, 2014, 04:47:11 PM »
Here it is the space shuttle endeavour.
As you know I can not go to space. So I was looking at this picture just the other day in awe at the achievements of man. I got excited zoomed in on the picture looking at the workmanship and detail of this grand machine.
But then, WTF just behind the cabin on that probe/tube there is some 3mm single core wiring.
Zoom in on it. Look at the way it lays, have a look its pliable in loops complete with taped joiners.
If you are still unsure go outside pop the bonnet of you car and have a look.
This shuttle is a model no more than 10ft long.
If that wiring was that diameter in relationship to the size of that shuttle the wiring would be rigid like steel.
I have no idea if satellites/shuttles are real, but I do believe with this particular example it is nothing more than a toy.
This is why I ask;
Can a belief be so strong it clouds your vision?

Flat Earth General / Tourism at the top
« on: March 29, 2014, 02:36:43 AM »
Being involved in tourism here in OZ I meet countless numbers of people every year on their pilgrimage to the top of Australia.
These people come from all over the world. They fly, boat, drive, walk, ride mowers etc... to the top all for one reason.

To take a photo of themselves next to the sign stating they are at the northern most point of this country. It is a massive money spinner.
This is so important to people its on some of their bucket lists.
Now why is there no sign on top of the earth, it would certainly Kick the shit out of going to the top of Cape York and also be a big money spinner.
        Is it because:
                          You cannot go there.
Its to warm for ice to be able put a sign on.
Nobody owns a chain long enough for a buoy.
Nobody has any interest in a photo of themselves on top of the world.

Technology, Science & Alt Science / Aliens
« on: March 24, 2014, 02:30:49 AM »
Just an interest here in peoples beliefs. I personally do not believe in aliens but I was wondering about other peoples beliefs.
This is in no way meant to be judgemental I am just curious.
I would assume a Round Earther would believe in aliens but I could be wrong.
What do you believe?

Flat Earth General / Round Earthers agree
« on: March 05, 2014, 12:11:20 AM »
The round earth community seem to agree with each other that you cannot see left to right earth curvature on the horizon whilst
standing on a beach.
Now when I stand on a beach it looks like I can see curvature.
Would this be just an illusion?

Flat Earth Q&A / Curvature for a Rounder

Are there any Round Earther's on this forum that really do believe you can see the earth's curvature whilst standing at sea level on a beach?

Flat Earth General / Flying boat
« on: February 20, 2014, 01:37:01 AM »
Hey guys,
I just want to share a short video with you. The video is not the best quality as what I filmed I was not ready for I was just setting the camera up. Its not to debate or to prove anything, its just an example of some of the crazy shit I see on water.
The island is 31kilometers from where I am filming.

The Lounge / Video help
« on: February 19, 2014, 01:29:14 AM »
Hey guys this whole computer world is all quite new to me so I am asking for a little advice. I have taken loads of video's of ships and islands lately but I have one I would really like to show you. Its not a video to prove round vs flat its a boat flying in front of islands. My question is what are the different methods of uploading vids.

Flat Earth Q&A / Height to see curvature
« on: February 15, 2014, 02:55:10 PM »
This question is for the round earther please.
There seems to be some inconsistences regarding height needed to see curvature of the earth with your eyes. Some REers say standing on the ground some say I think I read around 60 or 80,000ft. Is there a definitive answer? If so a brief explanation would be appreciated.

Flat Earth General / confused with a compass
« on: February 01, 2014, 01:01:29 PM »
A few day's ago a REer informed me that because I live in OZ I must be standing upside down hanging by my feet.
So I thought maybe he lives on top of everyone, Russia? I then looked down at my feet and thought ,down must be up he must be under my feet. Russia must be under my feet.
If I am south he must be on top which is north which would be under my feet (north pole).
So I tried an experiment, I grabbed a compass to check if north was really under my feet and it is not. I thought some more , then I imagined a ball with north on  top south on the bottom and a direct line north was straight through the ball.
Is there something wrong with my compass or is north not under my feet?

Flat Earth Q&A / How far could you see?
« on: November 05, 2013, 03:25:03 PM »
This question is directed at the flat earther only.
I do not believe the earth to be round and I feel  if I had a telescope with enough power I could see great distances maybe even other countries, does this fit with your beliefs?

Flat Earth General / An observation I have made
« on: September 21, 2013, 03:54:35 PM »
I work on the coastline of the Coral Sea. One of our buildings is approximately 50 meters above sea level, we have a telescope 60x magnification set there.
Now this is what I have noticed. When I look to sea on a day with 1 metre plus swell using only my eyes I can see the sinking ship, I look through the scope and nothing has changed the complete boat does not come into view its just bigger. Then on another day when the sea is flat like a sheet of glass I look carefully at the horizon only with my eyes and see nothing on the horizon I can then look through the scope and see a ship filling the whole lens and so clear I can see water breaking off the bow.
So on a mill pond sea with just eyes not just a sinking boat, but "no" boat, then with the scope full boat appears.
As I said just an observation.
