Flat Earth Q&A / gyrocompasses revisited
« on: April 07, 2011, 10:59:22 PM »
when i first became a member, i questions about the gyrocompass.  the thread died very soon

i did some research, and now, i ask again, how does a gyrocompass keep pointing north in FE?

normally on RE, the ship is moving on a curved path, true, but the gyrocompass is built to rotate on its own plane, and hence is relitively uneffected by a round earth. the compass will turn to match becuase it points to the same direction on its plane
on a flat earth, however, the ship'g gyrocompass has to rotate on its plane to match with the north in the center.  how do you explain this?

Arts & Entertainment / very good kinetic typography.

i really like looking at kinetic typography for some reason

these are especially good in my oppinion

Flat Earth Q&A / rollercoasters and UA
« on: February 23, 2011, 06:47:54 PM »
Becuase UA states that if i drop a ball, the earth and i am rising upwards at 9.81 m/s
the ball in reality would be only accelerating up

so if i was on a rolercoaster, the rolercoaster doesnt accelerate down, the track is accelerating up

so if i am on a rolercoaster, and just reached the bottom, and there is another hill, how do i make it up, if the rollercoaster has no acceleration forward?

i do not think you can, becuase the rolercoaster is pulled upwards up a hill by its own acceleration, but UA states that becuase everything is accelerating upwards, a flat earth rollercoaster that uses UA doesnt experience acceleration forward.

Flat Earth Q&A / sun's angle
« on: December 09, 2010, 04:58:46 PM »
can you disprove FE theory by measuring the sun's angles?  i dont know if this goes in QA or this forum.

but i think that beciase the FE sun is 3000 miles above, and the RE sun is 1 AU from earth, the angles should be vastly different.  like in FE wouldnt the north pole sun be 45 degrees at the equinox?  wouldnt it be more in RE earth?

Flat Earth Q&A / Explanation of horizon and bendy-light theory

how does a horizon form, and stuff go beneath it, and what is the bendy-light theory?

Flat Earth Debate / Pendulum doesn't support UA theory?
« on: November 05, 2010, 01:09:05 PM »
if you wtate that the earth is accelerating upwards, and you have a pendulum with a string, attached to a rod attached to the earth  do a thought experiment

with nothing to pull the pendulum down to the center point, and the air moving with the earth, the pendulum should just stay at its upward spot right? gravity pulls down, but UA theory makes the earth push up

Flat Earth Q&A / gyroscopic compasses?
« on: November 03, 2010, 08:24:07 PM »
ships use gyroscopic compasses, which are not effected by magnetic fields

so how do they circumnavigate the earth without falling off, if they based it on a the above compass
